A hidden gem to be sure! After a less than stellar experience at another local breakfast spot, I came in worried but the food was great, and the service was excellent. The waitress was especially nice to my children, which I thought a special touch (as most servers ignore children). I so very rarely give five stars but this experience deserves it, in every way!Kid-friendliness: The server went out of her way to be kind and accommodating to my children, which is out of the norm in my experience.

We love this rustic beautiful restaurant especially sitting outside on the picnic tables. The food is affordable and delicious, and the staff are friendly and helpful.We discovered Up A Creek last year on our first visit to this area and it's our favorite restaurant for breakfast.

Stayed at the Airbnb next to this restaurant and came by for breakfast today! Plenty of indoor and outdoor space and very homely atmosphere. Food felt homemade and fresh. I recommend the blueberry pancakes. Prices and portions were great. Also very dog friendly and hospitable to our two pups!Parking: Parking available up front

Stayed nearby for Ironman Lake Placid and were so lucky to learn about this wonderful spot just down the road. We went for both breakfast and lunch - food was delicious and great value, they have a lovely little outdoor area, staff were super friendly and welcoming, and they were very dog friendly (our pup was given a little bowl of biscuits when we got our meal!) A total hidden gem - highly recommend!

Stopped for lunch. The service was excellent and the dining area was clean, and appealing. However, the fare was fair. Soup of the day: "beef vegetable" had carrot bits, lentils, barley and noodles, but no meat in any spoonful. Next came the chef salad. While this had fresh, lovely greens, grape tomatoes and cucumbers, there was only diced ham and halved boiled egg. No salt and pepper shakers on tables but that was ok.

Nice diner and gift shop. I enjoyed the eggs and hash browns. Everyone else enjoyed their meal except the stuffed french toast.

Little disappointed with the fact they charge you for coffee. 1.75. Should come with breakfast. Food is very good. Hash is great.

Food came super fast and our waitress was very nice. Everyone enjoyed their shaved prime rib sandwiches! Also for some reason this place was nearly empty whereas every other restaurant in the area was packed. I think we expected the food and service to be subpar given how little business they had, but both exceeded our expectations!

Nice little roadside diner with a gift shop attached. Relatively small, so limited seating, but the food was very good. Nice turnover, so even people coming to eat on a busy weekend didn't have to wait long for a seat.

Quaint little place off the beaten track! We had great service and a delicious breakfast for a reasonable price. There's a little gift shop next door, too. The employees were very friendly and even took the time to answer some of our questions about the area and give us recommendations.
