What an outstanding place. Went for a 3-day hiking trip with my wife and a friend of ours, and were privileged to make this our base.Roger and his sons offer exceptional service and care. They are lovely, warm people, and were accommodating beyond belief.The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the views from the window are SPECTACULAR. The grounds are great - outdoor lean-to's with TV's and fire pits, bbq's, a pond with a fountain, the list goes on.I'm already planning my next trip! A MUST VISIT!

Do NOT stay here….The owner showed up at the door of our room 2 hours after we arrived yelling and screaming while making antisemitic remarks. He claims he fired his son for making the lodging arrangements with us. We did not feel safe here. Avoid at all costs.

Great mom and pop motel. Great views, quiet rooms, clean, comfortable beds. Proprietor and staff are great. I will be back when in the area. Back for a second time, can't say enough about he hospitality and quality of the lodging. And close proximity to White face saved me a a lo of grief this morning when one of he people in our party forgot their ski boots, took all of 5 minutes round trip to get them, no lost runs! Still impressed 3rd ski trip. We had 5 kids and 3 adult skiers, with the close proximity we were able to come back for lunch, and shuttle people back and forth as the covid restrictions limited lodge options. View from the room window will get your blood moving. Back again, small kitchenette in the room, fresh remodel, huge TV, still great people!Nearby activities: Whiteface mountain just across the road, and folks you window.

Look no further!!! This is the place you are looking for. It's cozy, quaint and the owner Roger and his son will make sure you have everything you need. Oh and what a view!!!!We we looking for a place to stay for a bike race my hubs had in Willmington. A friend recommended this place and without hesitation we booked. I was immediately greeted by Roger, who is the most attentive and gracious host ever! Along with Laska (his faithfull companion) he showed us to our room and I was impecable. Everything was spotless and smelled very good, bed was comfy, plenty of towels and throws. It was chilly so without asking, Roger quickly brought a heater that did it's job! After a restfull night, we were off to racing mtb and when we came back, Roger and his son made sure to let us know, "take your time, don't rush to check out." They were so sweet! We are defenitely coming back!!!If u want to feel like you are home away from home with the best view of Whiteface mountain slopes, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!Thanks Roger and family, for treating us like such.Rooms: SpotlessNearby activities: Lake Placid and Whiteface skiiMTB trailsSafety: Quiet and safe, noticed I even left the car opened.

While volunteering at the World University Games, I soon realized the commute back and forth got old quickly. Found Ledgerock and spoke to Roger about a room for me and my girls (cats). Roger was extremely accommodating and was able to rent me the perfect room. I respected his place like my own. You would have never known there were two cats and their maid (me, lol) that stayed there! Thanks, Roger. I hope to visit again soon.

We were a group of 8 friends, and this place worked out perfectly for us. It has an amazing view, and the staff was really accommodating. The owner Roger is genuinely one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He treated us like family and went above and beyond. It was an amazing experience. I would give it more than 5 stars for his hospitality.

What a magnificent view right out your hotel window . A semi private balcony from your door. Beautiful front yard area to play in with Whiteface as your scenery . Location is absolutely perfect. Cannot imagine ever staying anywhere else. Roger the hotel owner was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to take care of us. Well maintained gas grills always ready for use. We'll be back again !

Some of the nicest staff I've ever been around. The rooms are a nice size, the microwave and refrigerator was a major convenience. The bathroom towels were soft, the pillow cases, comforter were perfect. Nice view of the mountains outside the window. 2 minute drive to whiteface mountains ski resort. Would definitely stay here again.

Great view of the ski slopes and a great location to be close to the action. I must report that the rooms are very spacious, but the beds were terrible and the room was freezing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival but I think I will choose another location during the winter. Great place though. 👌

I went up this past weekend and had a great time. It was our first time in the area and Roger, Eric and the rest of the staff were outstanding. From recommending sites and attractions to dinner recommendations they were great. The suite was huge with plenty of space to spread out. Close proximity to Lake Placid and the North Pole. Whiteface Mountain was literally across the street as well as a gorge that you can nature walk through. The staff even set out sleds for my kids to play on and brought hot chocolate out to us. We didn't want to leave. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

What a gem in the middle of a paradise! It was a happy accident that we found this place! Nestled in the middle of Whiteface mountains, far from the crowds and very close to wonderful trails and the magnificent Copperas pond, this cute lodge is clean, comfortable and has great character. Roger, the owner, and his son, were excellent, friendly and truly accommodating. Our dog, Baxter, loved them and is missing this place so much already. Without a doubt we will plan a week in the very near future at Ledge Rock Whiteface. Thank you Roger ! We had the best time! Rita and Delanie

a non chain owned hotel. definitely has character, I think some people had jobs solely entertaining guests.the view is worth every penny. i would choose it over lake placid again.dog friendly is always a plus. remarkable no dog hair in room. which baffles me. i can't get my house dog free ever it seems.

Super beautiful and scenic views, free wifi, pool, and swing set :) Owner (Roger) was extremely friendly and didn’t hesitate to bring us more linens, toiletries, and towels (we had a big group!). Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Definitely recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!

A home away from home. My family and I are beyond grateful and blessed to have come across this beautiful place. Amazing service, really clean, comfy sheets and pillows, soft towels. This place was the best part of the east coast trip this summer... the location and the view from the rooms was to die for...Rooms are not fancy but enough to give you a comfortable sleep.. the place has been deliberately given a rustic look to ensure that you feel you have traveled back in time and trust me it's WORTH IT..! The property has a small lake which adds to the experience..ROGER is the perfect host anyone can ever have on a vacation..Thank you ROGER for making us feel like home.. you rock..

Views are spectacular. Staff is friendly, helpful, and most of all fun. Rooms were nicely accommodated and spacious. I had a suite with a sitting area and a balcony looking towards whiteface mountain. Is not a vanilla chain or luxurious hotel but more homey and lodgy. Breakfast area needs to be expanded but they do offer a basic breakfast fare. Be aware music is played at the pool area. I thought this was fun but some might not.

It's been two years since we came here (5.2018) and I don't know why I haven't left a review until now. My husband and I came here as an anniversary trip. Unfortunately, we suffered a loss right before so we were feeling down but decided to take the trip anyway. We arrived and the owner was just so pleasant, even let us go in a room on the second floor, with the balcony. The room was so cozy and the view at sunrise from the balcony with a nice cup of coffee leaves you breathless. We went to enjoy hiking the adirondacks and usually just pick a place, not expecting much. This place went above and beyond and just added so much joy. I cannot thank the staff for the hospitality. It meant alot during a hard time for my husband and I.We will be back this year once it's safe to do so. I cannot wait to come back.

We stayed here with a group of nine. This place has amazing customer service. Very accommodating and personal. An amazing view of the peaks from our balcony. Has an outdoor pool a games room. I'll definitely be coming back here. Added value to our vacation trip we didn't expect.

Owner took my money. I booked a stay at Ledge Rock for $143.19. Unfortunately I had to cancel my plans and my stay. The owner assured me that I would be refunded. Apparently he refunded the wrong customer. It has been two months, the owner is no longer responding to my emails, and I still have not received my money back. This is terrible customer service.Edit: 1 year later and I still haven't received any reimbursement. $143.19 down the drain.

If a rustic, off the beaten path retreat is what you're looking for you will certainly find it here. Located ten miles from downtown Lake Placid the lodge offers a quiet retreat setting close to local attractions. The rooms all face Whiteface mountain and each offers spectacular sunrise and sunset views of the mountain. Seasonal activities also make the lodge/motel a great choice year round. The staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms are spacious and well equipped and the beds are comfortable.If you are in the Adirondack region and are looking for a great family friendly place to stay I highly recommend Ledge Rock at Whiteface!

Owner is amazingRooms were spotless and everything was thought of. Our room had 2 televisions, a great sounding radio, foot massager! And robes! A perfect kitchen fully stocked with all equipment (toaster, microwave, pots pans etc, stove/oven, coffee maker etc.) The view is unreal, the outdoor chilling area is like nothing I have ever seen at any hotel. Some sort of 3 wall cabin with comfy chairs a cot and piano, firepit, and BBQ. There was a room with arcades, fireplace, ping pong, pool table, and awesome authentic decor. Very cozy and unique place to stay. All sorts of cool antiques that are scattered all over and are for sale if one takes an interest. Owner took is oi t to the local bar and served us a round of drinks! Location location location. Beleive it or not I never me the owner before this trip and have fallen in love.

Didnt stay.. said there was a pool it was a sand pit. The place looked nothing like the photos. Check in was at 3 and when we got there, we were told room wouldnt be ready until after 4. All communication upon arrival was through a young teen who was being chased around by another kid in a golf cart, spraying him with a water bottle. We were denied a refund and still refused to stay there

Second time we have been here, the place is so beautiful. My wife, kids and I try to come to the ADK as much as we can and we have found our new place to stay everytime we come now. The own Roger and his sons are great can't ask for better people. They treat u like family.

I have stayed at hotels all over the world but ledgerock will be the memorable experience I will ever have. Not only does the lodge come with a fantastic view of whiteface mountain practically on the doorstep, but the service is spectacular. Roger, the owner, was super friendly and personable. If you have kids or are looking for a place to hang out with your friends, there’s even a lounge where you can play ping pong, pool, play arcade games like PacMan, and sit at a bond fire and roast s’mores. What an amazing place!!!
