Cadence lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. What friendly staff! The room was beyond clean. It was immaculate. The location is perfect for skiing at whiteface and not far from lake placid. The free breakfast on Saturdays was a nice bonus too.We thought we were getting "typical roadside motel", but instead we got the boutique hotel experience at roadside the motel price. It's obvious the owners are doing something right because the entire staff cares about a quality stay for the guests. Highly recommend.Rooms: Renovated rooms. We found this place on our first trip to Lake Placid last year. And so glad we did! The location is a motel that was renovated inside and out and is now a super comfortable lodge that is less than 10 minutes from Whiteface Mountain and 20 minutes from town. The site is u-shaped with a great room (bar, fireplace, openair) at the back next to the dining room, where breakfast is served on the weekends. Our breakfasts were just beyond fantastic, hearty, healthy and cooked to order. We had pancakes and an omelet. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are not large, but are completely serviceable, new and clean. There are cubbys as soon as you walk in, which are great for boots, jackets, gloves, hats, etc! The owners are wonderful and accommodating. It's not likely that we will stay anyplace else when we visit.

We stayed at Cadence Lodge during Yuletide Weekend at Santa's Village. From the moment we pulled in, the staff was so very welcoming and friendly. We arrived over an hour before check in and the room was ready! The staff remained very responsive throughout our stay. Dining facilities for our event were at Santa's Workshop, so we did not eat at Cadence Lodge, but the restaurant looked so nice and clean! The menu had great options for food and drinks. The entire facility was so clean and well kept!The rooms are updated, with very nice country/Adirondack decor. The beds were extremely comfortable! We had 3 kids and 3 adults, and were assigned to 2 adjoining rooms. Size was adequate for our needs. We were impressed and would love to stay again, hoping to try the food and drinks next time! We would highly recommend the Cadence Lodge.Rooms: Nicely laid out. Adequate size. Clean. Updated. Comfortable. Very comfortable beds!Nearby activities: 3 minutes to Santa's Village. Less than 10 minutes to Whiteface. 15 minutes to Lake Placid!

A fantastic place to stay if you want to be close to Whiteface! Our room was clean and comfy, well equipped with all the basics. There is a communal kitchen, fire pit and barbecue if you're looking to prepare your own food - but make sure not to miss the free breakfast on the weekend! Absolutely delicious and made to order.What impressed us most of all was the service. Staff was SO FRIENDLY! I've never felt so at ease and welcomed. Everyone truly went above and beyond. Absolutely will be returning and telling all our hiker friends about this place.

Great, cute place. The rooms are clean and have everything you need, including handy coat/boot storage right at the front door. Unique amenities on the property including outdoor fire pit and sheltered outdoor lounge area. This creates a fun, congenial atmosphere among guests and staff. The on-site restaurant is fantastic, and offers a welcome change from the pub food you’re getting while on the road. We had a great experience staying here with our two young boys and dog.Food & drinks: Excellent on-site restaurant and bar.

Absolutely loved the hospitality, cleanliness of the property and interior. What a nice surprise to see someone investing back into their property by adding a dining experience, a nicely appointed outdoor covered seating area to eat and relax by the gas fireplace. It made my trip all that more enjoyable when they had nice dry firewood after a serious rainstorm and I had the pleasure of sitting by a crackling fire under the stars in the cool mountain air, while sipping some bourbon.

If you're going to be in the Lake Placid region, this is the hotel to stay at - it's a hidden treasure. When one of my fellow travelers missed his dinner and the rest of Lake Placid was closed, the proprietor absolutely bent over backwards for us late in the evening. I honestly can't stop smiling from our wonderful experience there, and it's worth noting that the beds were the finest I've ever slept on. Wonderful staff and spotless rooms; we will definitely return!

I know from the surface reading a 2 star motel and the motel look may be a turn off but I promise you this place is absolutely worth a stay. I stayed for 2 nights to see the fall foliage and hike. This place was absolutely accommodating, easy, and local.Rooms: Pretty basic, but clean and comfy. Two beds, tv, WiFi, hairdryer, plenty of towels, and super comfy sheets and blankets. Nothing super high tech but definitely checks off a lot of boxes.Nearby activities: One of the best hikes is just a few minutes up the road but there are plenty of activities to do. They have some great material where you check in.Food & drinks: While I never had their dinner (extra charge), their breakfast was included in the room and it is GOOD. This isn't some breakfast buffet it's legit sit down and waited on. The same folks who check you in wait your tables and are so incredibly friendly.

The lodge is recently renovated. Comfortable, quiet rooms. Breakfast was included and made to order rather than buffet. The restaurant has recently been opened for dinner and it was wonderful. The house cab was good and every part of the meal was great. And there were vegan options. Final thought, there is a really cute covered seating / bar area near the restaurant. It is definitely a cute place to lounge.

Unassuming from the outside, the rooms are updated and clean. Very comfortable. The hosts are incredible and friendly. It was like staying with old friends. The complimentary breakfast menu is delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Great little place to stay. Check in and check out were seamless. Rooms are super clean and updated. The bed was wonderful. No closet or dresser but plenty of hooks and cubbies to store/hang things. The floors can get a bit chilly but we brought slippers and were fine. Very quiet - even with people on either side. Totally recommend this place and will definitely be back!

This place is just awesome! For someone wanting to go to the Lake Placid area and wanting a cozy place this is the spot. Rooms are clean and confortable. Our room was equipped with a small fridge. Breakfast was included with our room and it was very good. Made to order and served on the patio outside. At night, when weather cooperates, they light up the fire pit so you can feel a bit like in camping and enjoy the great outdoor a little longer. If you want, you can use the grill to cook your meal and they also have a community kitchen where you use what you need to cook and serve your meal. I would recommend it to everyone who wants a nice little place for a weekend. It is well maintain, the staff is great and the location is perfect. We will definitely return.

I am so impressed by this location. Right from the start the customer service was AMAZING. They accommodated our late check in without any issues. The room was so clean and welcoming. There was plenty of space for our things and plenty of linens. The bed was very comfortable. Did I say how clean it was yet? Because it seriously was the cleanest motel I’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was a nice touch. I also loved the contactless checkout option. The location to everything was also perfect. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit. I highly recommend staying here!

There’s lots of places in the area that are tough around the edges, but this is definitely not that.It’s very obvious that Cadence has undergone renovations, because the place is pristine. Our two bed unit was cozy, with two super comfortable mattresses/bedding.They provide useful amenities like cubbies for belongings, a fridge and lots of towels.Breakfast was a great added value and all the staff were warm-hearted and went above and beyond to improve the client experience.I will recommend it to all my friends and will personally definitely return.

The rooms are nice, clean and quiet. The shower was warm and had strong water pressure.Hannah was working the front desk when we checked in and was friendly and helpful with information about the area. She encouraged us to try their Saturday morning cooked to order breakfast which was better than is found in most restaurants, plus we had a cozy seat next to the fireplace.This was a little ways from Lake Placid but very convenient to Whiteface Mountain, the Cloudsplitter Gondola and High Falls.The only drawback was the wifi was slow but everything else more than made up for it besides, you're on vacation, that encourages you to stay off your phone!

Let’s be honest you go to Lake Placid to enjoy the outdoors. Cadence Lodge gets you ready for the experience with a delicious homemade breakfast and a comfortable place to sleep. This is the best hotel in Wilmington/Whiteface area, by far. We’ve stayed in other area motels and will not make that mistake again! The Cadence Is cute updated classic motel, with very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and updated bathrooms. The rooms have very convenient cubby lockers for your ski/hiking/cycling gear. The owners are super friendly and responsive and serve a DELICIOUS made to order included breakfast on the weekends. Prices are very reasonable.Just a little example of how insanely good the service is at this place - During our last stay, it was so cold outside (-8) that the owner arranged to deliver our made to order hot cooked breakfasts to our door so that we didn’t have to even leave our cozy warm room.Cannot recommend them enough!

We flew in from Colorado for a trip to Lake Placid and stayed at this lodge. Absolutely wonderful stay. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable. The staff does an amazing job making you feel as if you're family. We got to stay on the weekend, so we experienced the complimentary breakfast - which was delicious! They did a wonderful job with the decor, making this place unique. Hot shower, comfortable beds, great/free parking, bikes for you to use, and great location! Will stay here again for sure! Room was comfortable and very clean. Plenty of towels. Close to Whiteface. There wasn’t staff around. Nothing in the room regarding area attractions, dining, shuttle service or anything about the lodge. No fire pit accessible. Went to the office for info once and no one was there.

Had a great stay here while my husband participated in the half Ironman in lake placid. Rooms are renovated and well kept, very clean and comfortable. The property has some great amenities like an outdoor bar/seating area, board games, bike station, and fire pit. Very quaint and cozy. They provide an amazing breakfast and are extremely friendly and welcoming. Great stay here!

The cabin-esque rooms are adorable and so well kept. They've clearly prided themselves in keeping the place very clean and updated, and the lodge feel is honey and relaxing. The best part is the included breakfast - they offer several hot options made to order and everything is delicious! The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful. If we're ever out this way in the future we'd stay here again without question!
