Definitely the best supermarket in the Whitestone area. Things that make this a cut above the rest:1. The bakery - best in area and always fresh.2. The meat - bell and evans chicken and usda prime beef available. Great selection of poultry, beef and pork3. The seafood - very fresh, wide selection and a lot of wild caught options.4. The deli - boars head full selection, alps sausage, imported Italian cold cuts, excellent house made turkey breast5. Parking - amplyOther points:1. Produce is fairly price and often good deals, but never on organic produce. Very over priced.2. General pantry items are over priced, not many good sales. No truly healthy alternatives like Whole Foods and if they do they’re wildly over priced because I assume they don’t move well.3. Can get very crowded on weekends.If you live in the area and don’t want to travel far for food shopping, this is your place.

I was very excited when this store first opened up. It's still a great grocery store if you want hard to find things from abroad. The Greek olive oil, olives, cheeses. They are all wonderful. Even the seafood dept is amazing. The only place I'll buy fish. The only downside is the prices are just outrageous! I can't do a full grocery shopping here anymore. The other day I went and got a half pound filet of salmon, bananas, apples, brie, chicken thighs (5) and it cost $92.00 6 items!!!!

Good prices, clean store. excellent assortment of cheese, vegetables, fruits and a fantastic bakery. I have only good things to say about North Shore Farms. Love this market! Seafood fresh and deli has amazing hot & cold foods. Be prepared to buy lots of goodies! Christmas pastries, cakes and cookies available now.

These guys are absolute rockstars. Not only are their selections amazing, but I just stepped in on Christmas weekend and despite being completely packed, it was… unexpectedly delightful. I had time to find what I needed, everyone was helpful and cheerful, and they are efficient as f! High quality stuff and high quality people. Happy to shop here always.

I was shopping like I always do. As I was getting ready to pay for my items a woman that works there with a heavy accent came up to me and started opening the bags I came in with and accusing me of not paying for things I came in with. Without my permission she just went into my shopping cart and accused me of not paying for things that weren't even front North Shore farms. It was humiliating. I shop there all the time. I will never shop there again!

We are very grateful in having grocery store options in Whitestone and we were so excited when North Shore Farms opened up several years ago but it just seems as though they have kind of given up on speciality items, which made this store unique and special- especially noted during this winter holiday season of 2023.For example, they have no: fresh rosemary (for over a month now), fresh caviar (as they used to every Christmas, via the Deli department), only minimally basic cheese options with nothing new or special - even if only for the holiday and oddly- I cannot buy frozen filo dough as they don't even carry it...sadly, it's unfortunate.We had fun trying new, seasonal items that they sold in years past, but now it's just basic.Hoping this is only a hiccup and whomever does the buying/managing of the store gets it together, because we miss the original (kind of) gourmet experience North Shore had when it first opened in Whitestone.

I saw a store worker blow his nose onto the sidewalk next to the fruit and vegetable carts outside the store. I also saw a dog in the store. When I told store management, they said that they allow "support dogs" in the store. The dog had no identification indicating it was a support dog. The manager didn't even bother to look at the dog. At the prepared food counter, I saw an employee wipe their nose with their gloved hand. It doesn't appear that employees are given any training in sanitary operations. I've also seen emplyees cleaning and then waiting on customers without changing their gloves. Workers stocking fruits and vegetables often block the aisles with garbage pails and make no effort to let customers pass.

For years I shopped at this market. I just dropped my rating of them because of my second recent experience getting bad meat. The first time, a few months ago, I got pork ribs that looked fine but, it turns out, smelled absolutely horrible upon opening the package. (I'd gone straight home after purchase and handed it off to my wife to cook so we had handled it properly.). A few months later I gave them a "second chance" and got turkey that , upon cleaning and closer examination at home, had obviously started to go bad... the color inside was semi-greyish, and the flesh would easy crumble apart at the surface when lightly scraped. Funny thing is it had absolutely no smell at all. That really makes me wonder. Wasted our time, wasted my money. Does it make any sense to take a trip to a supermarket where you can't trust the meat?

North Shore Farms is a wonderful store. Cooking in a vegetarian environment most of the time, it is nice to get fresh organic vegetables there, and such a large selection. I do have to add that I prefer the Great Neck and Mineola locations. They are always particularly friendly and helpful with specific shopping needs.

All and all north shore farms is an excellent place to shop for many things and we always shop there it’s a neighborhood store experience. Recently however I was a little disappointed with the butcher section. There was a sale on boneless shell steaks which were excellent and “porterhouse” which were actually T-bone I blame myself for not really paying attention. They should not however be advertising T-bone as porterhouse. I will still be shopping there as they have many items that are important to my wife as she cooks a lot and the store is very convenient

I'm a truck driver who delivers down the street from them every Friday, went in once to use the restroom, then followed my nose to their bakery.. BEST CIABATTA ROLLS EVER..!! Now a regular stop after my delivery.. Buy a bunch, they freeze great too..!! Eat Where Truck Drivers Eat..!! You can't go wrong..

Very impressive place for a non-organic produce and dairy. They are great quality and the only place to find good quality steaks. Very highly recommend it in fact I drive from Flushing Main just to shop for most of my groceries

Heaven on 🌎 earth. I'm in love with this store. In house baked breads, spinach pie, cheeses, pastas you name it, they have it 5 different ways. The best selection of in house mozzarella and other imported as well.

I like Northsore Farm, however, I accidentally bought an expired carton of pineapple juice with expiry date of August 2023. It should have not been stored in the refrigerated section by a stock clerk! However, I blame myself too for not reading the date. I drank a little of the juice which made me sick!Consumers, just be careful and read the labels

Love this place. Great food, high quality produce which is hard to come by. Great international section, especially Greek products. Meat/butcher department is underrated, it is truly a hidden gem within the store. Best shopping line efficiency I have ever seen. The line could be so long, but it always moves so fast. Overall a great store/supermarket/deli/bakery/butcher/cheese shop all in one!
