While I have lived in Westchester for close to thirty years and spent much of my time shopping on Mamaroneck Avenue, I never ventured to the corner where the Home Center True Value store is situated. The store has an impressive selection of everything from toilet seats to bird feeders! I’d urge you to check out their selection before schlepping to one of those giant big box stores on the outskirts of White Plains! I was impressed with the selection as well as their prices!

Local hardware stores like this are so much better than the big box superstores when it comes to convenience and helpful personalized service.I walked in looking for some replacement fasteners to fix a used instrument I bought. I was helped immediately and the manager even guessed the exact screw size and thread pitch on the first try.Incredible service. I was in and out in 3 minutes.I hope this location sticks around for a long time. I'll definitely be back for future hardware needs.

Great shop with a great staff. I mainly come here for my homebrewing ingredients and items. Get that advertised on the website! There's probably a ton of people that don't know about the homebrewing stuff downstairs.

My bedroom lamp would flicker and not stay on. I brought it to the store (my 1st visit). 2 hrs later I got a message, lamp was rewired. I walked around the store and it is clean, bright store and I also met the cat. I have seen many hardware and many other stores on Mamaroneck Ave close and it is sad for White Plains the condition of the city.

Excellent service. Top notch! Fully stocked, great pricing and the gent who works the counter/mixes the paint is an absolute sweetheart. Ample street parking. I’ll always shop here.

The owner of the store make you feel inferior. When you ask him a question he ignores you. No body in the store has clue what a part you are looking for is. The prices are outrageously expensive. I recommend going to homedepot, if you have the means. The owner over charges watch him. Beware of the prices.

You have to love small, independently owned stores, especially hardware stores. Kind of reminiscent of the Town General Store of old. Very helpful staff and prices are NOT out of line. Selection is slightly limited due to relatively small size of store. Still, great place.

Have to agree w. negative reviews - the owner is unfriendly & won't go out of his way to help. If you need something he points & grunts. Prices are also higher than elsewhere. If you have a choice, go to Burke & McCowan on Post Rd by the WP Hospital instead, they've been there forever & their knowledge & adviceputs True Value to shame!

One of the last places around White Plains that hasn't been taken over by Big Orange. Prices are what you expect from a hardware store and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable

Great local hardware store. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff is not as knowledgeable but they try and are very nice.They have a good stock of most items I would expect and even carry some items I wouldn't think they would have.

I have always found the store to be well stocked where the employees have been friendly and helpful. The pricing is inline with other "Mom and Pop" stores like True Value, Do It Best, and Ace Hardware stores in the area.
