We visited Daido Market which was highly recommended by our foodie friend. Their bento was decent with extremely reasonable price. Both Bentos were under $10 each which we haven’t seen in NYC in a while. Even though the taste was not delicate but the quality was still good enough.

Love Daido! Great Japanese market that has everything from frozen takoyaki, fresh onigiri, and warm sweet potatoes to Japanese hair care, soaps, and sunscreen. Love going there to get a delicious Japanese treat and stock up on some Boss Coffee too!

My recent visit to Daido Market in White Plains was a delightful immersion into the world of Japanese cuisine and culture. The market offers an extensive selection of authentic Japanese products, from fresh produce to specialty items that are often challenging to find elsewhere. The layout of the store is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and explore the diverse offerings. The quality and freshness of their produce stood out, reflecting a commitment to providing customers with top-notch ingredients. It was a pleasure to discover a variety of unique Japanese snacks, condiments, and household goods, contributing to an authentic shopping experience. The staff at Daido Market were friendly and helpful, providing assistance when needed and adding to the overall positive atmosphere. For anyone interested in exploring Japanese cuisine or seeking high-quality Japanese ingredients, Daido Market in White Plains is a must-visit. My wife and I left with a bounty of ingredients and a newfound appreciation for the variety offered at this exceptional Japanese grocery store.

My Japanese friend recommended Daido to me so I went on a weekend afternoon. The store is pretty small and with limited parking like all the reviews say, but what a gem of a place this is! The selection of fish/sashimi and meat are really good and although the sushi and bento selection was not great when we went, I would definitely go back to see whats offered. Also do yourself a favor and stop by the bakery next to the cashier, the baked goods are top quality!Overall I had a blast just looking around the store and trying all the different Japanese products from the bentos, drinks, ice creams, and baked goods. Felt like I took a trip to Japan.

09/03/22Revisited for cream puff... business was good and hard to find a parking spot. Fortunately, Municipal parking is right next. It's worthy of if you like Japanese grocery shopping..-------------------------------------------------It's a pretty amazing Japanese grocery market. Not as big as Mitsuwa at Edgewater but it has almost the same many selections.... They have fresh sashimi grade choice of seafood and Wagyu grade meat products.. You can also buy Japanese bento like 鰻重 bento. I even see they sell Japanese drama DVD here... By the way, I do think the bakery inside is better than Hamada at Mitsuwa.... Finally, you shouldn't miss the cream puff next to the cashier.... A very nice Japanese grocery market to visit...

Reasonably priced Japanese groceries - actually better priced than Mitsuwa in Edgewater - with the best cream puff by Sakura-ya. The lady bakes the puffs on site and puts the tastiest custard cream in it upon order. It sells out so fast as she bakes little by little in order to keep them crispy. Friendly staff. Their sashimis are good, too.

The Japanese grocery market. There are fresh food , vegetables, fresh fish, frozen food, frozen desserts ,Japanese snack and products like the 100 yen shop (daiso) but the prices are not the same. I love the place …a few minutes I thought I am in Japan :) bring back the nice memories. The small bakery there has bread and cake Japanese style, I bought the strawberry short cake (~$5) and Japanese cheese cake (~$5)The Japanese snack (dried fish, nuts in same pack) and the onigiri riceballI wish the place is bigger like H martI am happy to go back there again :)

Daido is a smaller supermarket that provides the White Plains neighborhood with a great place to buy all kinds of Asian food items plus many other kinds of kitchen accessories. I was impressed with their excellent produce department and very reasonably priced!

No lie, the best cream puff I have ever had before in my life. If you've had Beard Papa, this is better. Weekends only. Cash only.

Did I just buy a small roasted sweet potato for $4? Yes, yes I did. It was roasted like the way I remember getting them when I was young or when I visited Korea in the winter. Diado is small but well curated. I come when I visit friends nearby. They get their groceries and premade meals. I usually get couple of onigiris or a chirashi/eel/tuna bowl. Well made and reasonably priced.

Offer high quality produces from Japan. Great sushi grade hand picked by the owner and flown daily from Japan Fish Market. Good cream puffs on the weekend. If you park on the meter, they will reimburse you for. Also, they offered a variety of Bento boxes (Set Lunch box) for grab and go. Small sushi shop and Bakery inside as well.

Awesome Japanese Grocery Store! Been there about 3 times now. Happen to come by it while I was looking around White Plains. There are products that you can't find anywhere else! People and atmosphere are nice. One of the photos I've taken. This looks cute!

A small market with Japanese food for sale, but some may go out of stock in Sunday afternoons. Go earlier. The parking place is adjacent to a metered parking lot managed by the city of whiteplain, so watch out for signs and don't get ticketed!

When I need some bento boxes, fast lunch, I will go to Daido. They cook daily fresh bento boxes, sushi and Japanese snacks offered after 11am I believe. The staff working there is humble and friendly. Very Japanese culture. Worthy to take a look if you are looking for local Japanese grocery.Parking is a little bit stressful, too less parking spots and tiny space to park...

Small but quite comprehensive in selection. The lunch plates are generally very good. Their raw fish for sushi is consistently fantastic. Have been making my own sushi/sashimi because I can count on this place. On Sundays they have a lady making these little pastries with cream in them. Definitely get it. Also the little bakery stand in the corner has very good sandwiches, bread and sweet pastries.

Amazing selection of Japanese groceries and household items. Their sushi is lovingly prepared on site by a Japanese chef and it’s quality is great but the prices won’t break the bank. They also have an excellent bakery. Their selection of items is very good; best Asian supermarket in the westChester area. Also the staff is very helpful

Fantastic authentic Japanese grocery store! I'm Japanese and I'm saying it ;) You can find better higher quality ingredients here than other "Asian" grocery stores. Their garlic and ginger are great. Have better flavor than any stores. You can also find the Japanese household items here that are made in Japan(not all). I highly recommend this place. There is a authentic Japanese bakery in the store too. Visit here during the weekdays. It's super packed on the weekend.

Given its size, Daido does a great job. I felt as if I was back in my neighborhood market in Kyoto. They offer a really decent selection of fresh meat, fish, and produce, fabulous baked goods, better-than-expected sushi, and a variety of goods from Japan. it was easy to get in and out quickly. The prices were fair. And the people were kind. I recommend it.

Fantastic market with great fresh options for purchase. Quality food and friendly staff. Selection of items is ample for location size, and rotating sales are frequent. Authentic Asian selections abound, and the little bread shop located in the corner is fantastic. Just wish it were closer to my home!

- Clean and bright Japanese grocery store, fresh seafood (including sashimi), veggies and meat. The cooked food section offered fresh made refrigerated Japanese food. Baked sweet potato is usually very sweet. Bakery section is pricy but always tasty. There are tasty fresh made cream puffs on weekend, the price is now $2/each.- If you park on the spot that’s not free just ask a quarter from cashier, not sure what’s the amount you need to shop to ask for more quarters.- Remember to use store shopping cart even if you only buy few items. Today I got humiliated by cashier for using my own Stew Leonard’s bag with 8 items.

I usually visit twice a month for all my Japanese grocery needs. It's not a big store but carries enough variety of products at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is metered parking tho.
