Gabe, our Standard Poodle, LOVES to go to Westhampton Pet, and to his groomer, Joan. As soon as we get close, Gabe, normally silent, squeaks and emits little cries. He makes a dash for the door, and greets whomever is behind the counter, saving his greatest enthusiasm for Joan, greeting her with kisses, and, when invited, putting his paws on her shoulders. He emerges with a teddy bear cut, fluffy fur and fragrant, a perfect ad for the well groomed dog...Gabe and his family say thank you to Westhampton Pet.

Please take your dog here. I groom her here , get her food from here, toys, literally everything. Staff knows how to groom dogs and knows how to groom your breed of dog. I’ve literally never been disappointed from a grooming and it’s VERY reasonable in price. Looking to switch dog foods? They can answer every question you have. Looking for something to keep your dog busy? They know what’s perfect for your dog. Definitely the best pet store I’ve ever been to. Here’s a pic of my dog groomed for the summer!

I’ve been coming to westhampton Pet for years…. both for shopping and grooming. My Wheaten Terrier requires some extra care and they are so gentle and loving with her. Not to mention she always looks beautiful! The owner is very knowledgeable and is always willing to help and/or give advice.

I would give this place 0 starts if possible, I took my dog here to get groomed, he is a pitsky a husky and pit bull mix , he loves kids and loves people , he has very bold eyes and has the body of a husky but I took him in today and the owner or the male that was there said they couldn’t take him in today because he looks “SCARY” what is that supposed to mean ? I asked him how does scary look like ? He just said he scares him and that he’s not taking him in, I told him that was weird because my dog didn’t do anything to him and it’s makes no sense for him to be scared and he just laughed it off and said no , not sure what’s wrong with the owner or he just picks and chooses who to attend , so if anyone has a “scary” looking dog I don’t recommend this place , and if anyone has any recommendations for any shops that do take”scary dogs” help me out , I’m from the military and I’m very busy most of the day and I groom him personally but having someone else do it would be great

In my option the best grooming and pet accessories on the East End!! I have been a client/customer for well over 10 years!Frank the owner is extremely knowledgeable regarding nutrition and pet products. His prices are fair and competitive.Meredith, who grooms my dogs,is precision personified. Nothing is ever a problem. My 5 shihtzus always are groomed perfectly and they actually look forward to their baths! Joan and Brianna are fantastic as well!!If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

This place was awesome! Meredith did a great job grooming my dog and even squeezed me in last minute to give my dog a bath when her schedule was fully booked! Greatly appreciate the favor. Wish I came out to westhampton more often so that this could be my regular grooming spot. I’ll be sure to come back whenever I’m in the Hamptons!

I would absolutely recommend the grooming service. My dog is a bit shy, and they are so patient and kind with him. He lets them handle his feet and brush his teeth, and he always comes home smelling wonderful, and even more importantly, happy. My brother also brings his big shaggy dog here, and she comes home shiny, fluffy, and gorgeous. They are the best!

I brought my dogs in to get their nails clipped and the groomer came out and just started clipping my dogs nails in front of the entry door as people were coming and going. I was surprised as were both my dogs. They were both uneasy as the whole experience was odd, insensitive and unprofessional. I feel badly about putting my dogs through the experience but it all happened so quickly I would not recommend getting your dogs nails clipped at the store.

I went into the store today to shop for new dog food and treats for my 9 year old French Bulldog. He has not been tolerating his normal food and the meds the vet gave weren’t helping. So, here is my report......The store is well organized and well stocked. The owner, Frank was awesome. He gave me some advice and good information, but wasn’t pushy at all. I ended up changing my dogs food, dog treats and added fresh goat milk to his food (I know sounds crazy) and low and behold my dog wasn’t sick for the first time in a long time. I am so happy! Btw, the shop has a high quality frozen goat milk that is easy to defrost.Oh and he LOVED the duck treats too!!!!! The price of everything wasn’t bad...and it sure beats the vet bills.Thank you Frank!

We have a 15 year old 5.5 lb Maltese who is deaf & has been professionally groomed all his life in NYC & needed a groomer out here in the Hamptons. We researched & saw great reviews but were very nervous. Today we had Baci groomed by Brianna & she was not only incredible sweet & caring but she did a beautiful puppy cut on our Baci & we appreciate it so much & will be coming back. Thank you Brianna

Frank was extra helpful in determining an appropriate new food for our rescue puppy. (Using NutriSource now.) He’s very knowledgeable and doesn’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need. Very helpful in picking a couple treats with extra vitamins for the dog, and got a chew toy that the puppy loves. Plus I believe they match prices of other pet stores if product is found at higher price elsewhere.They also have a cute cat who took a liking to our puppy, which was super cute to see! He provides all my dogs requirements and orders in special food for me. Love his 'natural' mindset and glad he is so knowledgeable on dog and cat health. Wish he would research more outside the box and vegetarian alternatives for pets, since all dogs are omnivores and don't need procesaed grade f meat to survive. Better for their health, the enviorment, and all animals involved.
