I have started shopping there recently and each visit never disappoints. The quality of the crystals and other merchandise are superb and they have such beautiful pieces in MANY varieties. Whatever you need this store has, from gifts for your loved ones to pieces for your own collection. The owner of the store is so polite and approachable. Him and his staff are also so knowledgeable that you are bound to walk out that store with what you were looking for and happy. I learn something new each visit and it’s overall a great shopping experience.

So where should I start?! My first steps into the store were breathtaking. It’s like a little museum, so many beautiful pieces and artifacts to see, observe and learn about. Me being new to the world of crystals and precious stones I was amazed with the vast amount of pieces to choose from. Along side of the many options, the knowledge and information that the entire staff was able to share and help educate me was far beyond what I expected to walk out of the store with, all In all I couldn’t express greater appreciation for my unexpected visit to Glowing Candle and look forward to my next and future visits to come!

My recent visit to the Glowing Candle Crystal Shop left me with an overwhelmingly negative experience, primarily due to the pushy behavior of two salespeople. While one of them, a bald guy, demonstrated commendable knowledge about the crystals, the woman's behavior was nothing short of horrendous.From the moment I entered the store, the bald guy bombarded me with information about the crystals, which, although informative, bordered on overwhelming. While I appreciate a knowledgeable staff member, there's a fine line between being helpful and making the customer feel inundated.The real issue, however, stemmed from the woman salesperson's behavior. It was clear that she lacked the same level of knowledge as her colleague, but what was even more disconcerting was her incessant and intrusive following. We felt like we were being treated as potential criminals rather than valued customers. Unfortunately, she seemed uninformed and struggled to provide accurate information. It was evident that she was not adequately trained in the specifics of the crystals they offered, leaving me with doubts about the authenticity and quality of their merchandise. Her constant presence made it impossible to focus on exploring the merchandise at our own pace, turning what should have been a relaxing shopping experience into a tense and uncomfortable one.I understand the importance of attentive customer service, but there should be a balance. The line between assistance and intrusion was completely crossed, and it significantly tainted our perception of the Glowing Candle Crystal Shop. It's disheartening to encounter such unprofessional conduct in what is supposed to be a serene and welcoming environment.I sincerely hope that the management of Glowing Candle Crystal Shop takes these concerns seriously and addresses the need for a more balanced and customer-friendly approach among their sales staff. Until improvements are made, I will not recommend this store to others who seek a pleasant and stress-free shopping experience for their crystal needs. To note, the owners of the shop were not present during my 2nd visit. Both visits to this store, I had the same experience.Potential customers should be cautious when considering positive reviews, as my experiences suggest that they may not accurately reflect the overall customer sentiment.

My sister asked me to take her to the Glowing Candle to look at crystals. She was carrying a bag with a CLOSED container of food tied in a bag. Upon entering the store I noticed less than a teaspoon of sauce leaked into the bag. As I took the bag from her, a man who is almost bald quickly approached us and said "I'm gonna ask you not to come in here". My sister is a minor and should not be alone in a store especially with such kind people as the one who greeted us. My husband took the bag and left the store as I waited in the doorway and watched her look around. As if the man's rude behavior was not enough, he continued to circle the doors as if I was going to sneak in with the bag of food. Normally, this would not be a problem, a policy is a policy but based on the number of stains already on the carpet and the fact I had a drink in hand the last time she shopped here this was ridiculous. Not only did it leave such a poor taste that I will never take her here but the discrimination is disgraceful. From the other reviews on Google, it appears that poor customer service is pretty common from this shop. If I could leave no stars, I would.

I went to buy and spend a lot of money because I'm a stone collector and spiritual teacher, but I was extremely dissatisfied by the service because of the bias assumption. The staff's treatment of me was quite offensive. I manage a high-end store as a store manager. I will never treat any customers the way they treated my family and me. Sorry, glow and candle, but you lost a customer who may have been one of your most loyal. Best of luck

Careful how you shop here. Purchased a gift for a roomate here, took the sealed box home and wrapped and it sat under the tree for 2 weeks. When he opened it, out was broken. I didn't ask for a refund just an exchange. Was met with a condescending aditude and blame. I tried reasoning with them and nothing got me anything but an offer to glue it. I was told I was "lucky they could find all the pieces" and after was told to "carry it like a new born baby" never spending another cent here.

Got a pair of lovely little labradorite butterflies on hoops here over the summer of 2022 that haven’t left my ears since and have held up amazingly! The employees were so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Can feel a little overwhelming in there at first but I quite like the eclectic energy so it’s one of my favorite crystal spots when I’m in the area. Visited again today and had a great time, found two lovely new opal pieces.

Fraud people, purchase a ring and on the 3rd day the stone was lost and the didn’t do anything, no credit , nothing just told me to be careful with my jewelry. When I was careful and a piece that cost $93 should last longer when I took care of it.

I was in this store looking for something for my wife, I literally touched a 1000 pound amethyst and the person working there told me to stop touching everything, in such a rude way. I am an adult I know their items are fragile if you don’t want people touching something out it behind glass. I will not be shopping here today or in the future.

They have really nice minerals and products but it's like walking into a used car dealership. Subtly aggressive sales associates really try to up sell you on everything you blink at. Which I understand cuz there are bills to pay but my god am I uncomfortable if I go. So if you're into disingenuous capitalist hippies offering constant random suggestions the whole time you're there, than this is the store for you

The customer service here is superior. They are knowledgeable, willing to assist without being pushy, and very kind. I went the Sunday before Christmas and there was plenty of staff to help a large number of customers. I also love the selection, from cute to pretty to spiritual.

Went into store just to browse in September. Interesting variety of stones with a wide range of price points, sizes, and cuts.I received quite an education on the meaning, benefit, and care of natural stones. The store manager was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He took care wrapping my purchase and provided written notes on the benefits.I live out of state and have not been able to find a comparable store.I'll make a point of going back to this store the next time I'm in Rockland County.

I love this place. The staff are amazing always friendly and helpful. The aroma lamps are fantastic, I highly recommend them. The atmosphere is a little warm but always inviting, after a few minutes though you will feel right at home among the stones, people, and other assortments there. I'm more then pleased with every visit.

I spent over an hour in there without even noticing. It was a nice place and you can find items withing every budget. Staff was friendly, patient and kind. To learn that the store also carries a history in the mall as well it's very amazing.

About a year ago I bought an onyx ring for $60. It broke, and revealed the inside was white and the outside was just a shiny black layer. Obviously, I had wasted $60, as true onyx isn’t black on top, white in the middle, unless of course it’s a banded specimen, but it still wouldn’t be banded like that! Also, the guy working kept hitting on me! He wouldn’t leave me alone even though I brought my partner with me and we made it obvious we were together. The dude even tried to get me to buy moldavite and said, “yeah moldavite is great for clearing your life of bad energy. Especially when you’re ending a relationship.” Like?? Anyway, thought this place was great at first. I’ll never be back.

I love the products in this store but the staff is horrible! Not only do they bombard you when you are browsing, the old lady with the blond hair and the accent is so nasty to the customets with her condescending comments. We had to walk out! I want the owner to know you will get more business if you have friendlier less pushy staff.

Sold me a lot of fake/manmade crystals claiming they were real for a ridiculous price. Nothing wrong with manmade, I just wish I was informed that it wasn't natural because even when I asked I was told it was natural. For example, they sold me what they called "rutile quartz" when it was actually manmade crackle quartz. i only realized something wasn't right with it after getting a real piece of rutile quartz from a different shop. Never coming back here again.

Yesterday was my second time stopping in with my daughter. I go to the other crystal shop in nyack. Both are great but u love how the owners and staff at glowing candle are more hands on and assist you during your visit. It is so easy to lose track of time in one of these stores lol. The gentleman that helped me yesterday knew about the stones properties off the top of his head. So , clearly they really respect and utilise crystals and spirituality themselves. I highly recommemd anyone to visit. Dont feel shy to ask questions and allow them to assist you. I have some new , beautiful energy in my home. Will continue to come here. 5 ❇❇❇❇❇
