Extremely Rude Customer service. Cashier very large man, obviously not happy with his job declined Port Supply. I don't have a problem with that as I have been a port supply customer for many years. I did not have the card as my company is based out of state and my old one wore out. He proceeded to chastise me even after I said "No Problem!" Charge me retail! No reason for the nasty attitude! I remember when the help at West Marine were ALWAYS pleasant! Apparently this person had 1 too many large Red Bulls today!

Great customer service as soon as we walked in, staff greets you and asks if you need any assistance. Met your best employee Joe by the fishing poles, my wife was looking at the bait and he took the time to explain what was needed. Very knowledgeable with marine equipment, friendly and great service 👍. We need more sales people like Joe. Will definitely return and refer to friends

rude employees who rarely know anything. overpriced on everything. most of the staff has an attitude. i really hate going here but I usually end up with a gift card or 2 a year from friends or family. My last experience was proof of why. even my wife and daughters commented on how rude 3 separate staff members were.

Store is nice. Went to return something . Michael the manager helped us. What an attitude!!!!! We had the receipt, it was easy. The worker, Luke asked him a question, treated him also with an attitude. Sad that this is a manager treating customers and staff poorly. Luke was very kind and helpful even after being treated poorly.

Wow, this is a huge West Marine store in West Islip. They got everything you could possibly need and if they don't have it in the store, they can order it from the warehouse and have it there in a week or so. Now is thevtime to go as they are having their off season sale where ypu can save up to 75% off tons of merchandise. There was so much I wanted to get but my boat is high and dry for the past few years so maybe next year.

Dear Customer Service,As a business owner myself, a big part of our success is customer service and knowledge. I had taken on a project and needed some supplies and equipment. When I walked into your store located at 147 Sunrise Hwy West Islip, I was greeted by your store manager Philip Allegretto. He assisted me with my project and guided me with exactly what I needed and help me hand pick the items in your store. Phil then draw a diagram to further assist me with my project.I felt compelled to reach out to customer service so advise don't let this guy go anytime soon.I wish I had 10 Phil Allegretto's in my operation...

Stopped by to buy gifts for a friend who is into fishing. They have a collection of good quality clothing, friendly, professional, non-pushing staff helped us to pick up few items. I'm not into fishing but I loved the store and will make an excuse to go back :)

During the day the girls were super helpful on the phone looking all over the store for the parts and paints that I needed to make sure that when I showed up at night it was all waiting for me. Then I show up 10 minutes before closing and the boys in the parts department still offered to shake the paints for me with a smile on their face. Class acts. Everyone there.

I was impressed right from the beginning the handicap curb was painted blue so professional you walk in the doors stay in the steel handles definitely a definitely a flagship store everybody in there knew what they were talking about I was wrong but I was very happy West marine has everything for your boating age I mean everything I will be back to the store..

I just hung up the phone with a rep of the store. Her name is Adrian. She was fantastic! I have never experience such a great customer service. She really tried hard to get me the piece I was looking for to the extent of feeling as if it was for herself. It was a very difficult piece to find and both ended up in a conference call to California store until we succeeded. Thank you very much Adrian for your effort!

They have updated this place over the last few years and made it an excellent location. Lots of clothes and shoes to go along with a food selection of marine equipment and supplies. Very helpful staff and are willing to find items at other west marine locations if they dont carry what you need. Great improvement to what was a lackluster west marine years ago.

I like going to this west marine over the other few I have gone to. This place was much bigger and had a lot more stock on the shelves despite being out of stock on a lot of items due to covid delays I was able to find the stuff I needed.

I love going in there even though I do not own a boat. I go there for gifts. I love walking around looking at all the idea's for boat owners. The workers are the nicest bunch in one store.

Good selection of boating goods, always check online before shopping in store, helps getting the help you need and verify if they have the inventory you're looking for, most often I purchase extended warranty contracts, they always back and exchange products

Terrible experience, had me standing around while the salesman and manager debated what the right thing to do was. Solution was for me to drive to another store half an hour away. Their problem and I was supposed to fix it myself! I will never returne under ANY circumstances.

We were recently traveling outside of Long Island and we had an unfortunate incident with our boat. I reached out to West Marine in West Islip, New York. Mackenzie spent much time on the phone and researching where to find parts to make repairs as West Marine did not carry the parts. With her assistance were able to make the necessary repairs and continue our voyage. We are truly grateful for all of her help.

Terible service and unfortunately the employees wile very nice know nothing about boating and most were kids. I'm not going to spend money in a place where the employees just honestly don't know what there talking about or anything about what there selling...What a shame, it wasn't always like this !

Staff is always helpful and knowledgable. If they don't have the answer they will ask other employees or research on the internet. Always a pleasant experience.
