OK... kudos to Ace hardware on Union! Today I took my Knives to be sharpened. My cleaver was my father's from 1950's. So I wasn't to hopeful. OMG cleaver sliced through a tomato like hot knife through butter. It was so reasonably priced $7.00 each knife. I have a few Damascus Japanese knives that I am particular with and the Manager sharpened all with perfection. I will never let them go semi dull again. Head over to Ace hardware. Highly recommend. From dull to delightful sharp.

They have everything! Especially those odd household needs that you can't find in the other places. And the prices are reasonable. What's great is they also help you with purchasing and they give you tips on what and how with The Organized Guy!

I love this Ace Hardware store! They recently expanded, but they didn't get too big. If they had, it would have been like going to Home Depot or Lowe's, and that would have defeated the reason I prefer Ace Hardware.I suggest checking out their online specials. They often have great deals on DeWalt tools. I recently bought a DeWalt drill and impact driver set for a fraction of the price I would have paid at Home Depot.The staff at this Ace Hardware store is also very knowledgeable and helpful. They're always willing to answer my questions and help me find what I need.Overall, I'm very happy with this Ace Hardware store. It's a great place to find the tools and supplies I need for my home improvement projects.

Used to be great I guess there’s new owners or managers they had birdseed on sale for 1499 for 5 pounds but I guess they didn’t put it into computer they wanted 3899 for a regular 5 pound bag of birdseed this is Shane used to be so good I was so happy that they doubled and tripled in size but it’s not the same.

Staff was very helpful. They didn't have what I needed in stock, even though the website said that they did. The young man helping me tried quite hard to find it, even going so far as to check the top shelves. After several minutes and looking through a couple more aisles, we admitted defeat, but he said that he could order it for me.He looked it up, put the order through, took my payment, and said they would call me in a few days. He was very knowledgeable and the process was quick and easy. Shopping here has always been a pleasure.

*** Dana was very personable and super duper helpful. Also, I was greeted at the door bye a young associate passing by on another task. I was happily surprised. It is sad that such interactions are rare. The other workers there seemed relatively content in their goings-on. I would definitely use their services again.

They have finally achieved what seems to be there goal I will never go back to the West Islip store ever again. There customer service is atrocious the worst offender is the store manager. Although it is extremely close to my home I haven't left there not annoyed in the longest time and getting keys made there forget about it I stopped along time ago not one ever worked

I wish I could rate this higher. High prices, rarely has what I need. I want to be able to support a local store, but unless you're desperate and are certain that they have what you need, you're forced to go to a big box store instead.

Not the biggest Ace hardware around, but they had what I needed. After calling five different Ace stores more local to me, all much larger. Ace in West Islip had what the others were supposed to have in stock. The man behind the counter was fast to help, friendly, and I had my item in literally less than two minutes. Thank You Ace hardware of West Islip....

I was desperate for a grill because I'd forgotten mine. The internet was useless for finding a store that had something in stock. Alyssa at Costello's in West Islip handled my issue like a ROCK STAR.
