I was considering purchasing a Lab, and I was a bit nervous of the entire process . I spoke to several breeders, and I just was not comfortable. Some were rude, some were arrogant, and it was just not comfortable to me . Then I contacted Dave and he eased my mind and made the whole experience easy and comfortable for me. All my questions were always answered and updates on the litter were communicated. You can absolutely tell these puppies are loved and cared for and I would highly recommend. I am very pleased with my puppy.

I can’t say enough good things. I am a trainer (owner, IAABC-certified) at the Canine Academy of Berwick in Maine. We contacted hidden pond initially 3 years ago for a temperament tested, health tested Labrador puppy for service work. Dave is very connected and works with breeders he mentors and shares knowledge with. We have picked up puppies now from him and 3 other breeders he lists on his website. We are thoroughly impressed with his health testing, genetic testing (Penn Vet, Embark) and titling of his dogs. His pups are well cared for and he runs his business professionally. If you need a well bred, conformation bred lab puppy, call Dave! They are great family pets and solid service/therapy prospects ❤️

I have now had two dogs through Hidden Pond Kennels and I will never trust another breeder like I do them! My sweet service dog - Rhett - came home in October of 2020 and has been the biggest blessing in my life. He is not only a perfect family dog but the most spectacular working dog I've ever met. This breeder not only breeds for confirmation and health but for perfect personality and temperament. They are perfect in every sense of the term responsible breeder. I cannot imagine life without my Labs. And not to mention how welcoming everyone was when we went to pick Rhett up. They even let me meet my old dog's parents. I could have cried from the genuine kindness and sympathy they shared over my guy's passing. They care about each puppy they welcome into their home. And they strongly support several forms of care to keep the puppies happy and healthy in their new homes like food and supplements! I cannot thank them enough or recommend them enough!!

On December 4, 2022, we picked up our female chocolate lab who was born on October 11, 2022. Prior to picking up the pup my communications with Dave were excellent. He was always nice enough to provide me updates on the litter. We have had Bella for 4 weeks today and I must say the pup is amazing. She has a beautiful temperament and she is trainable. I have read excellent reviews about Dave and I must say he and his family do a wonderful job breeding high quality pups. I would highly recommend this breeder and we love our pup.

If you want a lab who is everything a lab should be, sweet, loving, smart and just as important healthy, this is the breeder for you. My Tallulah, is now 9 years old and has been the very picture of good health with none of the health issues so common in poorly breed labradors. I highly recommend this breeder.

Kya 💎 born 12/31/2020. Gotcha day 2/27/2021 Kya was a tiny 12lb little girl that has grown into a 58lb perfect size girl. She is beautiful smart and sassy. She has little to no fear of anything been thru training and knows all of her commands. She loves people car rides and giving kisses among many other things. And true to form she is food driven, as all my labs have been.
