Visiting Watkins Glen for a few days and this spot had so many great ratings - we had to try it. It was amazing! Very authentic Thai flavours, the spot is cozy and welcoming and all the staff were incredibly kind. We started with the Thai dumplings, Tom yum soup and chicken satay with peanut sauce. All amazing, fresh flavours. We also got the drunken noodles and panang curry, so delicious.A gem of a spot in town! Would love to visit again.*Noalcoholic beverages, just a side note to keep in mind!

We stopped by for lunch after our hike at Watkins Glen. Beautiful ambience and friendly service. The food is amazing. We had tom yum soup, spring rolls, drunken noodles, spicy basil fried rice. Portion size is good. You can choose your spice levels as well. They close at 2 for lunch so try to go before 1:45 PM as they close their kitchen 15-20 minutes early. If you prefer purely vegan or vegetarian food then they have separate restaurant called green elephant nearby.Vegetarian options: Tofu options

Thai elephant is a nice quaint small Thai restaurant with eclectic curry dishes, beautiful Thai rice, and all your favorites - just check out their menu.In Watkins Glen, you can spend anywhere from $250 for dinner (for 2)right on Lake Seneca a block away or Spend 60 bucks and have the best Thai meal of your life while visiting the Seneca Lake region, and Watkins Glenn State Park, and all up and down Seneca and the other finger lakes, and this is probably the best meal we had staying in that area for five nights.this is a BYOB place but they’re serving some terrific mango drinks including a mango lassie which was wonderful. If you’re going in the spring and summer, I would suggest reservations anywhere around Watkins Glen. There will be lines everywhere. So I love Thai food and I love it hot. Their green curry was probably the most spicy I’ve had and it was just blow away good. I had it with duck it was a wonderful curry.I hope you try this out. It’s a gem in Watkins Glen. You can go to the harbor Inn and the harbor Inn hotel and spend $200 plus for a couple, but you’re not gonna enjoy simpler dishes made by authentic people.I’d rate any of the harbor eateries, although I think it is foolish for a family to spend that kind of money. Please check those reviews as well. Also could you thumbs up, hope I’ve helped.

We have been living in Thailand for the past 2 yrs so our standard for thai food is quite high. We were impressed at the selection, taste, and service at this lovely restaurant. Everything is very clean, and taste is the most authentic we have had during the past several visits to the US. We had thai dumplings, spring rolls, papaya salad, Pad see ew, green curry, and thai fried rice. The fried ice cream was quite dramatically presented and delicious. A wonderful place to eat while visiting the finger lakes!

Amazing food! Ordered pickup online & food was ready and hot when I arrived. The staff was friendly and quick to help.Drunk noodles were very flavorful and delicious! Nearly as good as my favorite Thai restaurant back in Cleveland, which is a compliment. I have had a real hard time finding other restaurants that can deliver the same flavor - but this place hits it.We also tried the basil fried rice, which was also quite good - but compared to the drunk noodles, the rice had less of a flavor punch. Not upset, but the other meal definitely stole the show here.Highly recommend giving this place a try. We will be back if we're ever in the area again!Vegetarian options: Lots of good options for vegetariansParking: Street parking only

Food was exceptionally good. Service was exceptionally slow (but very polite). If you aren't in a hurry, this is the place to eat.I had the crispy Duck over drunken noodles and loved every bite.

Stopped in after hiking Watkins glen. Started with spring rolls and a mango juice. Then chicken coconut curry and tofu fried rice. Followed by lychees and coconut dessert. Everything was delicious! The curry had just enough kick when ordered mild and the ingredients were fresh. Great spot with reasonable prices. Highly recommend!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options

A short trip to Watkins Glen while craving decent Thai food went great. Went here for dinner and it was packed but not too crowded yet the staff was super helpful. We ordered Pad Thai with Beef, Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken, and Crab Rangoon (surprisingly a super yummy starter!!). The price and portion were fair and also I haven't finished my fried rice while probably my expression looked full – the staff was super attentive and offered me a to-go box. Will go back here for the Rangoon and pad Thai also maybe the iced Thai tea? 😋

This is the BEST Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’m actually depressed now because I’ve tried 30 (and counting) Thai places in NYC and thought I’d found the best, but this place blows it entirely out of the water. Now I don’t know what to do with myself as Watkins Glen is a 5 hour drive away and Seamless doesn’t reach that far (maybe Uber Eats?? Haha)But seriously it’s so, SO good. The Basil Fried Rice is to die for. And I think I actually teared up when I tasted the Drunken Noodles and their Crab Rangoon. The Fried Ice Cream and the Thai Donuts were just mouthwateringly incredible. I was told the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Mango Ice Cream dessert were great (though I didn’t try them). I don’t have photos for half of these because once they were tasted we lost all rational thought. Honestly the chefs are national treasures and must be protected at all costs lol.If it wasn’t a slightly crazy and more-than-slightly expensive idea, I would drive 5 hours back just to eat here again. It’s that serious.

Had dinner here on a Friday night in October. It was very busy, with a line of folks waiting. We were sat quickly. We ordered Drunken noodles, Tom Kha soup, and Thai dumplings. All the food we had was delicious! Would definitely recommend this if visiting Watkins Glen/Seneca Lake!

We have driven past this place countless times but made it a point to stop today. While we both have had Thai before, neither of us had been to an authentic Thai restaurant. The menu was easy to understand and the hostess was always available to make suggestions of answer questions. I had the drunken noodles which were excellent. The location is spotless, and we will add it to our rotation when are in town next time. Great food!

Best Thai food I've had to date. Everything was fresh and good quality. I had the Thai dumplings and green cury at the heat level Thai hot 🔥. Both were absolutely wonderful very yummy.Next time I would get it medium only because my eyes and nose were really running! Also pictured the spring roll, sweet and sour chicken and the ginger chickenCould have a few more dumplings in the appetizer, 4 is not very much.If your thinking about going, just go, this place is great.I left feeling mostly full of great tasting food and that I paid a fair price.

I came to stay at Watkins Glen for the weekend and ate here twice bc the first time was so good. I got the drunken noodles medium spicy with chicken and it was phenomenal. I got that again when we came back bc I kept thinking about it after the first time. Very efficient with seating and I like that it’s first come first serve. Our order did get confused the second time but it was really busy and nothing that was a big deal. If you stay in Watkins Glen you should definitely try this place out. Get the crab rangoons.. they were amazing!

Excellent Food - I was driving through Watkins Glen on my way to a winery and I though “gee, I’m getting hungry” and just as that thought entered my mind I saw this Thai restaurant with outdoor seating that was in the shade. I travel with my dog so I most always choose my restaurants with her in mind. There was a couple sitting outside eating and I asked them what they thought and they said it was delicious. So, I sat down and enjoyed really good service and a great bowl of Massaman Curry Tofu.I was so much happier at the winery having had such a great lunch. I think it made the wine taste that much better.

Service was prompt. Seated immediately. Food tasty. I prefer a little more flavor and spice in my Pad Thai, but still good. Beef salad is tangy and spicy😋. @justlightthefireBeef SaladThai Basil (mild)Pad Thai chicken

9 Oct 2022: solo dinner. Ordered red curry. The portion size was small. Curry was sweet while the menu mentioned the spice level medium. Had to order fried tofu appetizer as I was hungry after finishing my entree. Turns out the tofu came with another sweet sauce. I am not a fan of sweet food. Maybe I should’ve ordered something else, both orders bombed. The place is beautiful and has a good vibe for dining-in. But there was a problem:The staff had sass. I didn’t appreciate that as it seemed borderline rude. Also, getting in was a hassle, there was a line to the door and no room to walk in. You’d think this place is popular, that’s why so many people crowded up the entrance. But took a peak inside and there were so many tables available. They don’t accept reservations. There manager needs to organize the traffic flow in a better way.$26 for entree and appetizers including tipsThey are BYOB but no alcohol served.Recommendation: yes. I am assuming it was just a bad day for me there.

Food was really good and the service was top notch! Great place to sit down and enjoy the food after visiting the park.We were a group of 8 so we ordered a bunch of items. Lobster pad thai was good and Thai basil was amazing! Loved the sauce in the cashew curry. The pad thai was maybe a touch sweet but that's per individual preference. Definitely would recommend this place.Ps: i didn't use the washroom but my friends said it was very nice and clean

My first time eating Thai! We definitely picked the right place. Authentic Thai food, no fusion here, and made by Thai chefs! Our server was great helping with suggestions, and navigating the heat index. What an experience! Now we need to find an authentic Thai restaurant near where we live!!

During our visit to Watkins Glen, we chose Thai Elephant for a dinner meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food—beyond anything we’ve ever had at a Thai restaurant. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The won ton soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s no surprise that Thai Elephant is so popular---well deserved.

Curry fluff is tasty, it could be better if they mix it with some peas and more curry flavors. Pad Thai is authentic and definitely worth to have. Thai fried rice is okay, don’t order this if you like wok flavor with more firm rice texture.Warm service and good quality food

Unique restaurant just off the main street in Watkins Glen. Restaurant was nice and clean. Food selection was authentic Thai and was quite extensive. Food quality was very good. Came out hit and fresh. Definitely adding to my list of places to go when in Watkins. If you like Thai food, give it a try.

Food is very tasty 😋 we really enjoyed thai food. Best customer service. There will be little wait time but waiting is worth. Don’t miss this place if you are in Watkins Glen State Park. Just tell them your spice level. We ordered medium which is perfect. Highly recommended place.😍

Thai Elephant was such a great find and a hidden gem in Watkins Glen. The staff was super friendly and the food delicious. It was the perfect stop after a long hike at Watkins Glen State Park. We had only wished we had known it was a BYOB, we would have brought a nice Finger Lakes Riesling to compliment the spiciness of food.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options when you order your dish with Tofu.Parking: We had no issues parking on the street.
