Stopped by for lunch on a whim and loved it! Ordered the drink of the day and lunch special. The drink was done to perfection, and the Philly wrap was very well done. My husband had the soup of the day, which I tried and was equally impressed. He also ordered fish tacos, which were good , I just prefer non-breaded fish. Definitely recommend and will return.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Don’t waste your time and definitely not your well earned money. They don’t know what’s on the menu, we literally had to point and show them what we wanted. I called ahead to ask about fish fry and then when we arrived it wasn’t on the menu so we asked. Our waiter didn’t know so he had to go ask someone else, he didn’t know so he had to go ask someone in the back. Fish fry was tiny as hell and dry! Food wasn’t good. Steak was ordered medium came out a bloody mess, and I’m not from England. NO A/C!! We lost weight as we ate due to the sweating.

Decent craft beer menu, nothing of their own which is odd since they call themselves a brewery. Food took nearly an hour to come out for two plates of tacos. Bar tender was all alone, she did her best but wad incredibly slow as she was waitressesing, expediting and bar tending. Asked for silverware and napkins. Received neither.Food was decent so there was at least that.Would not return.

The food was very good. The service was very good as well. The outdoor seating was nice and clearly a heavily desired seating area. The vegan options were tasty though the sprouts were no longer available when we were there.

We landed on this unimpressive overpriced Rooster Fish establishment during a stroll of the main street after walking in Watkins Glen. This joint prices itself like a fancy gastropub brewery/winery restaurant but falls far below that in quality and ambiance. We got the Three Brothers Apple Bomb cider, fried Brussels sprouts, and mozzarella flatbread.Cider was cold and fizzy, smelled like fall. Half pint available, but at a price ($7-8)!However, the food was quite lacking. Brussels sprouts ($12-13) were over-fried resulting in only being able to eat half the dish! The aioli accompaniment was good but could only do so much to hide the burnt taste. The aioli was key in our getting any semblance of enjoyment out of the flatbread. The menu said there would be tomato, mozzarella, and basil. The flatbread itself was nice and carby but lacked even the personality of Costco naan, hardly toasted. Tomato was scant and not flavorful. Mozzarella was more plentiful, the end. From the price of the flatbread ($16), I had expected fresh basil but instead got scant flakes that did little to add flavor or aroma.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower wings, cauliflower tacos, fried Brussels sprouts, beyond burger meat extra

My husband and I ordered some food to go. I got the berry chicken salad and that was okay -- nothing to write home about. My husband enjoyed the soup of the day, which was a turkey sausage and kale soup. The sweet potato fries were so burned! I don't know how someone thought that was acceptable to send out.

the waitress was so lovely, i feel awful writing this review but i wish i'd been adequately warned...the food here is truly disgusting. the flatbread is comparable to chinese buffet pizza, anything with nacho cheese should be avoided completely because it tastes like pure chemicals, even the burgers were disappointing.the only salvageable items at our table were cauliflower wings (surprisingly), plain fries, and side salads. i'd advise against eating here

I looked at other reviews which were pretty bad and ignored them, my loss is hopefully you’re gain!!!As a local I do not recommend. I’m a firm believer in looking at reviews before going into a place to spend a nice evening and money. Came in on 4th of July weekend, around 530, place was not packed yet as their were plenty of open tables. We came due to the fact they were having live music and we wanted to eat before getting drinks and listening. We were sat and it took about 10 minutes for someone to even come get our drink order. Then another ten minutes to receive them. At this point we pondered if we should leave and go somewhere else for dinner, but decided to stay. We ended up ordering 2 appetizers and our meal. An hour and 15 minutes go by, no food. We see other tables receive their food who were sat down after us (they had a different waitress). Our waitress— who seemed brand new to serving as she was VERY nervous and acted scared of her tables, she never once came over to check in with us or get us refills. We saw her walk back and forth a bunch of times past us. She brought out our food and we were already heated. We had to ask for the basics (napkins and silverware). She said she couldn’t find any more silverware (what!?!?) and we saw her walk to and from the kitchen, the bar, etc nonchalant. At this point we flagged down another server and asked about getting silverware, napkins and who was in charge. She ended up taking care of us, thankfully and taking money off the bill. In the meantime we are, but my friend never received her burger until we were done with ours, as our original waitress brought it out and literally just said “sorry”, and at that point she realized the other server took care of us. We ended up leaving and not even eating it S it came out with pink in the middle and she asked for it well done.Anyways, my boyfriend and I ate the food, it was good, but not with the high price. Menu online does not match what menus they give you.I will never come here again. It was just too chaotic, slow/poor service and prices were to high for the quality of the food.Shout out to the other waitress, who was VERY professional and friendly. Idk your name but you deserve to use your skills somewhere else.

Our waitress Liz was fantastic. The food, beers, and my mixed drink was super. We'll be back again when we're in Watkins Glen. All the staff made you feel so welcome. Keep up the good work.

Drippingly delicious grab extra napkins! A must go. Thankfully stumbled across this place because BBQ had hour and 45 min wait! The Nashville chicken was phenomenal. No dish was bad, but would recommend fries be crisper for poutine and bella mushroom be on a wrap!

we dined at the wildflower cafe on a Saturday afternoon and our server Alyssa was the best! super nice and attentive to us. I ordered a beer flight and all the beers i tasted were enjoyable. The nachos were super cheesy and filling, my friends got french fries and we were all satisfied with the appetizers that were ordered. we sat by the window which allowed for fresh air and people watching, would definitely stop by again.

I grew up in the area and use to frequent this place when they first opened. It was great then and I was excited to go back after a few years. However when my wife and I went back this month we found it is nothing more then a overpriced tourist trap. We waited forever for two appetizers and overpaid for two beers that were not even theirs. It is a huge disappointment. The only reason why it is not 1 star is that the appetizers were tasty when they finally arrived. I won't be going back as this local place has gone to the tourists with prices to match. Very sad.

It Took forever for our order (2:30pm is when we went) and once the food finally came out it was awful. BURNT cauliflower 'wings' (mushy and nothing but a terrible vinegar smell and taste) and the caprese Flatbread was lackluster in flavor with very little care in the preparation. The cucumbers on the salad seemed like they were cut 4 days ago - slimy and soggy. Even the carrots that came out with my sons chicken wings were dried out and starting to curl! Overall a terrible experience.

I liked that the Baffallo Wings were grilled and not deep fried. We asked for extra hot sauce on the side and was charged for that. The Pulled Pork Sandwich was large and flavorful, but the French fries side also cost extra. My husband enjoyed his IPA beer. But my dry Riesling was only ok.

A bit of a bummer here, especially since it had been recommended to us. On the bright end of things, our server was very helpful and pleasant, the pulled pork sandwich was good, and pricing was decent. Unfortunately, of all 7 beers on tap, every single one was an IPA. This is a huge turn off for beer fans who prefer other varieties. A balance of several styles should be paramount at a brewery. We also thought the nachos were only so-so, mostly because of the presence of the cheese sauces. I would be interested to try some of the other food, as well as other styles of beer if they expand their tap offerings.

Visited here Friday night of Memorial Day weekend. This was our first place to go on our first visit to Watkins Glen, and had high hopes as the brewpub had a good amount of stars. In retrospect looking back at the reviews, it appears there was a time this place was praised but something changed (likely major staff turnover during covid). The service was great however there seems to be a problem with management, the kitchen, or likely both. When we were seated we saw the menu did not remotely match that on their website. It was also bizarre that vegan food items were noted but not vegetarian, which caused a lot of confusion. The beers were not well served either- the wee heavy tasted so buttery that it indicated the lines were likely not clean (more buttery than butterscotch as a wee heavy should be). Another beer that came out showed so many bubbles on the inside of the glass that it indicated the glass was not totally clean. When the appetizer (loaded nachos) came out, they were barely warm and the nachos were a bit rubbery. The cheese sauce was watery and didn't taste like it had any cheese but powered cheese in it, and the menu said it came with sour cream but the white sauce was something else that resembled it.The meals that came out were drastically different in size and fill between the burgers, flatbread, and Pico de Gallo bowl (the latter two being the most expensive). The flatbread was cold and soggy as if it has been previously frozen and barely reheated. The bowl was, for lack of a better term, embarrassing. Both were lacking in flavor, especially the bowl.Overall the food was not only not worth the cost, but was not even worth half the cost. 3/10 do not recommend until management makes major changes- the 3 is only given because our server was very kind/gracious.

My wife and I tried this restaurant on a Monday evening in mid October. The service was helpful and efficient. The fish tacos were very good as well as the bacon mushroom swiss burger. Their draught Porter beer was very good. We substituted a small salad for the fries, we were told there was a slight up charge for the salad. I should have asked what is slight, $3 each is more than slight in my book for a small salad. So fish tacos, a burger, two small salads, and two pints of beer ran us $52.92. If this review was helpful to you, please give it a like.

We stopped by down town to visit the State Park and to have an appetizer and drink before the races. Staff was very friendly and a great seat at a open window to watch the downtown traffic but service was slow. I ordered a flight all were good except one that was warm and flat and definitely not a proper pour (as you can see from pic) Hubby just got a pour and enjoyed that. Appetizer was nachos to share very disappointed chips were stale and used poured on jar cheese with canned jalapeños just awful:( not only that but when we looked at previous review they looked nothing like other have posted.) Not to mention we had got there when they had opened at 11:30 and when use of the bathroom trash was pouring out on to the floor no paper towels and toilet wobbled when sat on!

Sadly wish I could leave zero stars! My boyfriend and I were in for all of twenty minutes before we left. We were greeted and ordered drinks, I had to pick a second as they were out of my first choice. I had a hard cider and my boyfriend a sprite, both of which seemed to be half flat by the time they got to us. We should've left then! We ended up ordering a pulled pork sandwich and the Nashville chicken sandwich, and were horribly disappointed with both. The onions on the pork sandwich looked like they had been coated and fried for 39 seconds, and were still raw. The chicken sandwich was obviously a frozen cutlet with hot sauce on it, and pinkish cole slaw. Our fries were only warm-ish, which makes us think they had been sitting since we got our food in less than 10 minutes. The waitress was prompt but made no attempt to see if there was anything wrong or ask why we wanted the check so quickly, and no boxes. Plus, my boyfriend saw the bartender filling drinks with the nozzle of the soda gun IN the glasses/drinks.... ewww. We felt like we were chefs undercover - I wouldn't trust anything out of here!

Rustic atmosphere, clean, good service and terrible food. If you like craft beer, bring your own. You won't find anything drinkable here. No price listed for the local wine at 15 a glass. They should be arrested. Box wine at the same price for an entire 3L box is better quality. Perhaps the worst restaurant experience I've had in my 69 years on this planet. Avoid this place. Any other restaurant in the area will fulfill your dreams compared to this. I wish we'd have gone to McDonald's. At least we would know what to expect and it wouldn't have been a 110 meal, and better at that. Huge disappointment.

Food was really good and came out nice and hot. Our service was phenomenal; waiter was very attentive. We happened to be there for music bingo which was a great time. No prices on the beer and pints of craft beer were ~$9 which is more than I would normally spend but it was all locally madeVegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options

Wow, what an awesome place! Food was delicious (I highly recommend the cauliflour "wings", poutine, and flatbreads), service was awesome, and the beer was great! This is the perfect spot to stop after a day of exploring Watkins Glen!

Walked into the restaurant and it did not look busy. We had the seating the back and it was a booth style seating. We were seating 5 people but they insisted to combine another table with a chair. Once seated we were issued paper style menus. It took awhile for the server to come back to order drinks. Once drinks were ordered it took another 15 minutes to get the drinks. When the drinks arrived we started to order our entrees. We ordered exactly 6:12pm and finally got all of our orders on 7:15pm. The server only stop once to refill and did not mention about our food until 7:01pm. We had no silver wares or napkins. The server could not find any silverware. We flag down another server and they were able to get a bunch of napkins and silverware. We informed the server who we flag down who is in charge. The server adjusted our bill but we were still waiting for our last order which was a burger. The burger came at 7:15pm and it was not well done. We paid our adjusted bill and left with a sour taste in our mouth. Never coming back to thos place. Even we are local like 20 minutes away. As a local I would recommend to keep away from this establishment.
