My smoked grilled wings were good. Every one else's beef dishes were also good. Some of the parts of our dinner came out different times, or only after we were done eating. Service was friendly . Realy good pulled pork nachos and loaded tots. Could use some GF rolls or options for sandwiches. Gets very full of annoying tourists, outdoor seating helps in good weather.

This place is fantastic.The fries were perfectly cooked, the BBQ sauces were delicious, the sides were great, and the brisket, kielbasa, and pulled pork all tasted amazing.Despite it being relatively busy when we went the service was super fast. The staff were nice and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Looks like they have a very nice bar as well.If you are in the area looking for a place to eat this is the spot!

Great BBQ restaurant in Watkins Glen. Very convenient location right on the main street and it was not difficult to find parking even though parking is on the street.Went there on a Sunday afternoon and it was not super busy. Got a table immediately and the food came out really fast and was delicious.I've been to lots of BBQ restaurants that use their sauce to hide the poor cook on the meat; however Nickel's puts the sauce on the side so you can decide how you like it. I got the Brisket which was amazing without any sauce at all.Our server was very friendly and attentive the entire time.Definitely recommend, what more could you ask for?

Fantastic BBQ in Watkins Glen. Awesome indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Attentive and friendly staff.Service was very quick too. Brisket and Ribs were awesome without sauce, but the selection of sauces were excellent too. Sides were also terrific. Slaw, mac salad and baked beans were on point. The tater tots were crunchy and perfectly seasoned. Very happy with my meal here. I would recommend stopping!

Our family visited Watkins Glen for the 6 Hours at the Glen and to support a family member driving in the race. Afterward we went out to dinner at Nickel’s and it was great. Super friendly staff and delicious BBQ. Everyone loved the food and our waitress was amazingly nice and super attentive. The place was packed but the service was still great. It was a nice way to end our family weekend.

The wings were top notch. The brisket was.. dry. Everything has a nice smokey flavor and based on other people's photos, I'd chalk this to a one off bad experience. It's hard to tell by my photo, but it was as dry as over cooked chicken. I had to use all my water to get it down and in TN.. I never had to use water, in fact it was so juicy I thought it was happy to see me. The flavor was on point though. The cost was a bit high too, for what you get. Again, flavor and service were great.

Visiting from Queens and was excited to try some authentic BBQ! They did not disappoint. We got here around 7/7:30. I was a little overwhelmed by the menu because everything looked good! But their combos and a lot of choices on the menu allow you to try different things. A big part of such a pleasant experience was honestly the service. It matched the vibe of the town which has lots of small biz.We had Mike as our server and he was very patient and friendly, because we had diff questions for the menu/beer selection— which is phenomenal. Apparently they always switch up what’s on tap. Mike always checked in every now and then too so I wasn’t looking around waiting for someone to notice me. They do get busy too, but you can tell everyone’s on a good team flow. The hostesses were nice as well. Thank you, Mike! Great dinner to star off my anniversary weekend.

The vibe was nice here, a lot of beer options, and good variety of food options. We were a big group of 13 and they were able to accommodate us for lunch. However the bbq was overall average. We ordered the “Nickel’s split” but was disappointed that they ran out of Ping Wings. Most of the items felt somewhat dry, the best item was the kielbasa. They have homemade bbq sauce which are generally sweet, and a hot sauce but it wasn’t very hot.

So happy we found this spot! If you’re ever visiting, this restaurant is a must. Definitely up there with my top rated bbq pits. If you’re 3+ I would recommend getting the platter so you can try everything. Only feedback I have was the brisket was a bit dry and they sold out of pig wings, but the extra drums & flats free of charge made up for it. Thank you for the awesome experience!

Great service and food. We ordered the Pitmaster Combo, which allows you to taste a "little bit" of everything. It should be enough for three people. We were two, but we were super hungry. ✌🏻😅Food was tasty, price is decent, and Nickel's Pit has a great environment too. I definitely recommend this place.

Came here over the weekend, it smelled great outside and was lively as the weather was nice. Ordered the wings, nachos, and onion rings. Plenty of food for two. The hot sauce for the wings was a bit mild so go a level hotter if you can take heat. The onion rings had good batter and were large. The pulled pork nacho plate was good with nice portion size.

Excellent BBQ restaurant and a definite must visit if you're in the Watkins Glen area and want some really great BBQ.They use cherry (wood) to smoke their meats and it's a really nice change from the usual hickory and/or oak you see most BBQ places use to smoke. Nice smoke, not to strong or aromatic and very nice.We had ribs, sausage, brisket, and pulled pork, with the brisket being the star of the show. Brisket is my favorite smoked meat and they nailed it. I've eaten BBQ from Texas to Kansas City, to N. Carolina and most places in between, and this was some of the best I've had. Sauces were all really good and if you're feeling adventurous, ask for the extra spicy sauce, but be warned, it's HOT HOT HAWT!!The sides were all tasty (BBQ beans, Chili and the corn / black bean medley was a really nice one) and their corn bread muffins were just like Mom used to make. :-)Go try it, you will not be disappointed!

Arrived at 7 on a Thursday night and was seated outside patio within 5 minutes. Waitress was wonderful. She provided helpful advice regarding amount of food to order and type of sauces. I asked for a glass of water to dip my fingers in and she complied without hesitation. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and my request for the flats only was accommodated with a 50 cent extra charge. They were delicious.

Service was good and the portions were big. We split a wings appetizer and the trifecta plater. It was plenty of food for us to split. The star of the show was the greens side. The brisket was good but a lot of fat on it and the bit of pork we got was dry. The rub on the wings we had were overly sweet for our taste but cooked to perfection.

🔥Amazing BBQ! The best I have had so far in Canada and the States. Love the southern greens and brisket. The restaurant is full of great vibes and the service is awesome. Will definitely recommend this place for a great meal whether you are detouring on your way somewhere or you are visiting the town!

Sat at the bar because this place is busy! Good drink selection, i settled for a cold PBR. Prseted the brisket and pork platters with mac-n-cheese, southern greens, and Coleslaw. All sides were yummy. The meats were amazing and perfect. Try their own sauces ( 4 to try). Had a great time and it is priced nicely. Ah, the pickle chips were huge and yummy! We recommend.

If you like barbecue go to Nickel's Pit BBQ. One may dine inside or outside if weather permits. The tots are hot and crispy, the beans are very tasty, pork and brisket very good, and the corn bread is delicious. We ate there last year and returned again when in the area this year. Our server was friendly and attentive. It was so nice to see someone who is happy at their workplace.

Came here for midweek dinner. BBQ was great. We came 1.5 hours before closing and they were out of brisket and chicken. However they still had wings and the chopped brisket, which they replaced in their brisket combos. The chopped brisket was moist and delicious. The wings were delicious as well. Highly recommend! Just come earlier
