They have a very impressive selection of well known brands. Hence their name famous brands. The prices are pretty reasonable and the staff is friendly. The store has 3 floors so you can definitely spend hours making a selection. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend patronizing this business.

This is a big store, covering three levels and several storefronts. Their merchandising is very good and they cover a wealth of quality outdoors companies that you would be proud to wear. I was impressed by the large selection of men's regular and work shoes in size 14. As well as XL socks to fit those big feet. What they do a very poor job with is their big and tall selections. Their big selection might have 5 styles? The tall selection had a handful of sweat shirts, several styles of coats and eight styles of shirts, none larger than XL! This makes no sense. I will give them credit on pricing, there are some bargains if you if into their sizes.

Hi , am writing because 2017 I was on vacation in your city , in walking I came across your store. I am 64 years old. I went in and discovered your three floor of great stuff .there was a women who attended me , She was straight up Awesome . 5 foot 3," or so she knew her stuff I believeshe said she had been there 15 plus years well... I ended up buying 6 pair of Redwing 5 boots and one slip up Steel toe Redwing low cut shoes .. I still have one New pair of the boots and my steel toe shoes have been Great reason I'm writing I want to buy the Redwing shoes again... and to just let everyone know this store has great products of ALL kinds. And they have great customer service , I live in New Jersey, and will reach out to them to see if I can purchase my Redwing Steel toe shoes Again. Sincerely. Tony

Famous Brands Outlet has several departments on three levels, and I'm not sure I've completely browsed them all. While I am usually able to find clothing of interest, most of the selection seems to be for a more mature market segment and is more expensive than I would expect. The shoe selection is extensive but I'm always disappointed that I can't find vegan shoes there.

Nice variety of items. Most of it is high end, so even the discount pricing is still expensive, but everything is high quality so it lasts a long time. I have sandals I got there several years ago that are still in excellent condition. When I had to leave to resolve a problem with our hotel, the staff kindly held our items till we got back.

We love this store. I go here with friends when we visit Seneca Lake. Great selection of shoes and boots and outdoor gear. Great selection of Yeti. Ben & Jerry Ice cream shop is connected to Famous Brands also. The roasted nuts smell so good!!!

Mike was incredibly helpful. I have an odd size shoe and he spend his time to find me exactly what I needed. Not only did he help me find it but also shared his knowledge about how the shoe was made and how to care for it. Thank you for your help, Mike.

This store is great if you like throwback clothing for all outdoor activities.I apologize if I offend anyone but a lot of the styles really are not the latest.They do carry a lot of items that you might need. Lots of name brand items just not the latest styles.I could not find what I was looking for which was a crossover small bag for our hike at Watkins Glen.Lots in inventory.Staff was nice.Overall it wasn’t for me but it is a useful store.

I went into purchase work boots . I had voucher for $150, and I told them I didn't want to go past $200. I also mentioned I wanted composite toe, and that my feet are incredibly wide. To big begin with huge selection. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Even was friendly talking to my gf even though she wasn't buying anything. And didn't even make a hint at her having to buy something. It was top notch customer service. Also they are service dog friendly and not one staff was rude demeaning about that. I'll definitely be back.

Decent selection, but the older guys (staff) walking around following shoppers is a little much. And then you buy some clothing or shoes and they ask if you want a bag for $.25 each?

What a great store!! Hubby was looking for new hiking boots. Can't remember her name (shoulder length black hair) but wow what great customer service. She really knows her shoes and was very patient to make sure hubby had the best fit. When anyone in my family needs shoes I know where to go. She went way above our expectations. Thank you

Great sportswear, shoes, work wear, boots, shoes, sneakers store! Right in downtown Watkins Glen! We go to the Glen every year for their Vintage Grand Prix Festival and always shop at Famous Brands. This year I bought two pairs of heavyweight leather winter work gloves. Top quality. Reasonable prices.

We shop at Famous Brands in Watkins Glen a few times each year. We love wadering around and checking out every section of clothing , accessories, boots, shoes, and all kinds of footwear, socks ,and slipper socks. As we wander floor to floor and section to section we always end up with an arm load of things to buy. The clerks are so nice and they let you give them your puke to hold. They will fold everything up neatly while you continue to shop. This saves time at the check out. You will love finding North Face, Colombia, Carhartt,Foxx, and other cool brands that you love all in one store. Every product here is top notch. You will find the warmest indoor and outdoor wear all under this one roof. You will enjoy the great local shops and restaurants, the gorgeous lake, scenic view and of course the beautiful wineries and breweries all along the highway that leads you in and out of the area. Check out famous brands for yourself or purchase a high quality gift here as well.

Want quality, variety and good prices, then this is the best place in the Finger Lakes area for outdoor clothing, including hiking boots.If you cannot find something to satisfy your needs here then you weren't looking hard enough.Size's, colors, levels of durability, they have it all.Parking can be tough in high season.Worth going just for the sales items, but all year round there is something for everyone.

What a nice store, great selections on outerwear gear and shoes, they even let u bring your dog in to shop with you. The staff couldn't have been nicer. If u are in Watkins Glen, this is a stop I highly recommend.

Great selection of outdoor apparel for men and women-many name brands. Some nice casual clothing as well. Unfortunately, sizes start at women's small. I am Petite-could not find a single item to fit. They do not carry children's apparel so I couldn't try that either. Prices- even though on sale- seemed high.

This store is really cool. In fact all of downtown Watkins Glen was pretty cool. It's a total race-themed town. Reminds me of Adenau outside the Nurburgring in Germany... the whole town is car crazy.Back to the store... its huge and the deals are good. I didnt find anything as Mens section is smal-ish but wifey found lotsa stuff.

Very well put together Clothing and outerwear store. Huge selection of top brand merchandise, work apparel, shoes and boots. best of all they dont overprice everything and anything just because they are the only the place with the brands, size selection( Big and tall/Extra Wide 4EE) of all sorts of top quality products in the area Easy parking on street out front or lot in the back easily accessible for the disabled... Alright I'll leave it at that... Some of these places outta throw me 10% for my awesome reviews!

This store is absolutely amazing!!! From outdoor gear for outdoor adventures or gear for the hard working man, this place has you covered 10 fold!!!! I was in need of a good pair of muck boots, and this place was the only game in town that had them. I can't say enough about this place. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful as well.

Great store!!!!! I went there for the first time in March of 19 to buy a pair of work boots. Everyone one there was so helpful and knowledgeable!!!! Bought a pair of keen work boots and they had some quality control issues less than a year later. I went back and they were so great again!! No questions asked they took care of the situation and gave me credit for them!! I have to say thank you for all their help and support!!! I recommend this store to anyone!! They are all great!!
