I went for ferret food for my babies. Petco had 7 ferrets in 1 enclosure with 1 food bowl that was empty and no toys or anything to entertain themselves. A couple babies were sleeping with their head in the food bowl wake up looking for food when none was there they would go back to sleep in the food bowl. They were eating their litter!!!!! I got an employee, they didn't "deal" with the ferrets so I got the manager told her then I went back to them babies and sat with them until they were fed. This is ridiculous if they cannot take care of them properly DO NOT SELL THEM!!!!

Awesome store only been there twice but loved both times and prices are y we'll keep coming back.couple pictures of fd for gecko.o and we got a container that was empty the first time and all we had to do was go back out and they made it more than right!

The employees there are kind and helpful! I had some in-app pricing that I wanted matched and the cashier was extremely helpful in doing so for me on my purchase and ending up saving me several dollars in the process. Thanks Petco!

Purchased some new fish for our tank. I always worry they are sick or going to die, but the ones we got were very healthy! They are doing great. The aquarium expert was very nice and quick to answer all of my questions! I wish they had more than one cashier working though. Took forever to pay.

This is the dirtiest petco store I have ever been in.. I feel sorry for the animals in this store, dirty cages and they need clean food and water bowls. . Floor was absolutely filthy. Workers standing around not cleaning up anything . Someone needs to come into this store and clean it up and take care of the animals . Absolutely atrocious I can’t even believe that this store is still open. The manager and staff should be embarrassed. Corporate isn’t sending out a district manager to check on things.. disgusting.

I love going here because the staff are so nice and knowledgeable!! I love buying fish from people who care and also love fish like I do, and make sure they’re being properly cared for at the store in stock tanks. I see Corey everytime I go, and he’s always friendly and ready to answer any of my questions.

I had a horrible experience at pet co in Watertown today I drove from Ogdensburg to Watertown pet co I went in store to select some fish I looked around made a decision and looked around for some help there was no one in the fish area but I saw 3 girls attending a dog grooming? Any way they explained they didn’t work at the store they were there representing a veterinarian clinic I then went to the only cashier on register and asked if he could call someone to help with fish plz he said the fish person was on break or lunch and I would have to wait ( not sure for what or how long) I spotted a girl over where they train or adopt dogs I asked if she worked there and said yes but I am busy I can’t help you I tried to explain I just wanted some help getting some fish could she call someone that could help me she dismissed me and walked away so I got in line at the one open register waited my turn to speak with the male cashier on duty who had already blew me off previously I again asked to get some help at the fish area and I asked to see a manager he ignored me and said I had to wait not sure for what or how long I said politely I would like to see a manager he said I am the manager and you have to wait I explained I had driven a long way to get there he was rude and dismissed me again first I don’t believe he was a manager his name tag did not say so secondly there was no empathy such as I am sorry we are a little short handed give me a couple minutes and I will find someone to help you or I am sorry but the only person in the whole store that can help customers with fish is on break but they will be back in 10 minutes I am sorry to inconvenience you but we are short handed or busy or whatever but I received no courtesy from either employee no help with the situation I have never been treated worse or more arrogantly I did not swear at them or yell I just wanted to buy some gosh that I had driven an hour to get I was a customer they treated me like a burden and pet co if you are the reason ( hours)they are short handed shame on you on a Sunday afternoon but irregardless the attitude from the employees was unacceptable I won’t be going back so upset and disappointed in a company of your stature would allow employees to act in such a way I know you won’t lose any sleep over this complaint but just so angry that me a paying customer wanted to just buy some fish ( put money into the store) and was treated so poorly and dismissed as if I was a problem bet plenty of other people have had this issue I am sure I am not the only one over worked or under valued your employees are rude and unhelpful☹️

Honestly shocked and disturbed by the substandard animal care I witnessed during my visit here yesterday. Small critters like hamsters and Guinea pigs are in very tiny enclosures with no food and not enough bedding to even cover the bottom of the cages. There was an alarming number of dead and half dead fish in the majority of the tanks in the aquatics center. I had to explain to my toddler why some of the giant goldfish were “floating funny”. Looked like only one employee was working. Petco if you don’t want to pay people to take care of the living creatures you are selling for a profit maybe you should consider nixing that part of the business.

Absolutely disappointed. I’m making this review to make everyone away be careful when getting pets here. My family got emotional attached to him and now we have to go two months without him I don’t want this happening to someone else. I came in about a month ago to get a pet chinchilla for me and my family for an emotional support animal a week after he was home he was showing symptoms of ringworm all over him. When I got him the other ones had the same symptoms at the time I didn’t know until I did research on it once my chinchilla started having the same symptoms. I didn’t do that kind of research before I got him because I didn’t think I would have to go through this the first week of having him. So I brought him back to petco so they could treat him. They told me he would have to stay 14-20days. On the 21st day I never received a call so I called them and the told me that he would have to stay another 3 weeks because he has more that hasn’t healed in a spot we didn’t know about.

got my dog groomed there. was upset once i got home because i paid over $80 for a long hair bath (he is a 5 month old puppy, he still has puppy fur and it’s NOT long). i was definitely overcharged. got home to also realize not everything i asked for was done, his ears weren’t clean and the fur near his private parts was still there after asking for it to be trimmed and PAYING OVER $80. $80 for bath and nail cut is insane. won’t be returning.

Our dog, Nigel is a 4lb 4oz 15yr old Yorkshire Terrier and is blind due to cataracts and has Alzheimer’s. Jen in Watertown is the best! She does what I request and always loves on him. The only negative thing is that are prices are high. I definitely would use them again.

There was not much of a selection other than for Christmas on sweaters for pets.. and they are needed in Northern NY.Also at the checkout they had run out of bags… that’s tough when I had five cans of dog food, and a few other things.. I stuffed them in my pocket but it was a bit awkward with the other stuff.

Ok so here is the deal. It's a pet store with a lot of products and services as well from grooming to training etc. The thing is it's clean. The animals seem to be well taken care of. That's all that matters. If you need things stop here.

11/4/2023 Waited over 15 mins in a long line to check out. Line split into 2 lanes. We were 3rd in line to check out. Cashier in our lane moves to another check out lane from ours with the 1st in line. Us and second place not sure if she is coming back, she said nothing to us so we wait. A new line forms in this new 3rd line. Cashier takes 2nd place people waiting over to her line, then tells us me the lane is closed and I have to get in the new line. No assistance to queue in newly formed line and no one offered to let us in. Not going to wait another 20 mins to check out! We put our stuff back and left. Pet Supplies Plus down the road has same selection and better customer service.

Great, the employee that worked with me about fish was awesome!!! She gave me the fish I wanted without question and they are all doing awesome, The people at petsmart in new Hartford ny were very rude tried telling me what I could or couldn't have and refused to sell me the fish I wanted, Petco in Watertown ny, in my opinion is the best around for fish and nice employees!!!

Kara at the fish department has taken great care of us the last couple of times we have been there. Not only she has given us great advice, but she remembers us and the fish we bought, so she knew what other fish would get along with the fish we have, and which would not. I really appreciate anyone who offers great service and takes friendly care of my grandson. She answers all his questions. Very patient and every knowledgeable. Thank you Kara!

Had fish die three times in a week. Water was perfect but the argued they wouldn't give me new fish. Stay away from this store as they don't know what they are doing and sell sick fish.

This is first time to take our 2 pups for Grooming. I am new in this area and looked groomer that able to perform ASAP and I tried booked online, this place was available right next day!Our Groomer is very good at everything.One of our pup is old and he has nasty tear stains on his eye area, groomer cleaned very well:) he got good look back.I am very satisfied!! And will ask groom again for sure!
