What a hidden gem! Searched Bbq near me and this place came up. Looks like an old garage from the outside but there’s BBQ magic happening on the inside. Addicted to their Russian Gearhers and Balboa sandwiches. Fries even have a bbq zing. A must check out and try!!!

I unfortunately did not have a good first time experience here. We came here during lunch and saw the parking lot was packed, but there were hardly any people in the store so it was a bit confusing to understand what was happening there (front and back parking only had 1 spot open, but only about 5 groups of people in the store). We ordered some food, smoked chicken, western omelette with no onions, and pancakes, all to-go. Then we took a seat and waited. And waited. We watched multiple people getting food who came in after us, debating which of us ordered something that would take that long to cook.It wasn't until the store was nearly empty that I went to the counter to ask about our food when they checked with the kitchen, saw no tickets left, and realized that our food had been brought to the front counter without us being notified. When they discovered this, someone whom I assume was either a manager or the owner started yelling at the workers saying you need to call the name of to-go orders and not just bring the food up, and apologized blaming new people on the team. Realistically, this could have been avoided if they had a sign that all to-go orders are picked up at the front.Now, it wouldn't be too bad to deal with this if this was all, but there were a couple other issues. One, there is literally no phone or Internet service in that building. Probably not a problem if service is quick, but waiting for a half an hour was rough (I believe it was closer to 45 minutes, but I didn't pay attention to the actual time we ordered and only kept track after a certain point). Two, multiple people were working and if only one of them had noticed us getting frustrated with an increasingly fussy baby actively trying to catch any of their attention, they may have realized our food was done without us knowing. Three, by the time we got home, I discovered my omelette was practically buried with onions, with no mushrooms instead. I was originally planning to share this with the little one, but he has issues with onions, so I couldn't even give him it as intended.All in all, I hope this was only a singular bad experience versus what I should expect as a standard because this is one of the only places that sells smoked meats and I would truly love to be able to go here on the regular. At a minimum, I'm planning to order ahead or order delivery going forward to remove at least the problems that stemmed from being in the store itself.

Casual atmosphere with a friendly and helpful staff. I missed the "Choke aHorse" burger special a few weeks ago but they were happy to make it for me. Burger topped with pulled pork and brisket! Phenomenal!

What a fantastic little place for fantastic food and a good time. We had the brisket which was out of this world and extremely fairly priced. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. We dined there on a Saturday night with an open mic night and I have to tell you it was some of the most talented folks I have seen in a long time. Some sang tunes we all know and some sang tunes they wrote and all were fantastic. Check out the Edenville General store for food and fun I can guarantee you will not be disappointed

The general store of the past has come back. There are a dozen tables where you can sit and relax, watch TV, or talk to friends and locals. Homemade ice cream, fall-off-the-bone barbeque, deli and other delights cooked on premises. Great sides. Beer on tap. Open Mike on Friday and Saturday night.

Don’t really come here often and now I remember why. Ordered one simple sandwich and waited for 25 minutes and ended up leaving without it. The worker ended up not even starting making mine and they weren’t even busy. The worker was also flirting with a guy and obviously made his sandwich before everyone else’s. If you want a meal here I suggest calling in ahead, they have no motivation.

Stopped here after playing a round of disc golf up the road. I was looking for a spot where I could grab a quick bite. This place delivered on great food and the overall vibe was cozy and quaint. They also have some discs in the back in case the woods was hungry for some of your plastic. I would say if your looking for lunch or breakfast and want something to fuel you up definitely check it out. I'll be back for sure! 👍😁

Normal order and take out or find a seat eating style deli. Outdoor and (under normal circumstances indoor too) seating. Deli foods, plus grill is on. Always enjoy what I've ordered. I had this lunch combo at a great price, and it was stacked! Pulled pork, chicken, ribs, with baked beans, a tiny cup of ice cream (hit the spot -u choose flavor) and I highly recommend. Very cool spot. They sell some vegetables and baked goods. I could go on and on about the disc golf, picnic tables, friendly, can do staff, general store type spices, gifts, and random things for sale. Really like this (new to me) place.

A very homey place to grab a great bite to eat. The barbecue was quite tasty and the portion sizes are great for the price you pay. The real reason this place deserves the five stars is the hospitality. The women running the place were not just incredibly friendly and accommodating for our relatively large party, but they also even gave us a slew of recommendations for places to go apple picking around the area. I would say it's an absolute must visit if you're around.

Eating here is like getting a warm hug from your grandma. It's so inviting you'll just wanna set up camp and make a day of your visit. The food is so good you won't believe the price. Even if I didn't live down the street I'd probably still be coming here every day.Oh and the ice cream is the best in all of orange county

The staff at Denville General is super friendly. They pay special attention to customers throughout the meal and have a warm family environment. I've only tried a sampling of their food but the pulled pork is smoky sweet excellence. The whole store has a unique and cozy layout and would be great for a trip with the family or just picking up a bite on the way home. I'm personally going to come back to check out their live music.

Quite possibly the tastiest food I've ever had. Lots of great, unique menu options. Boom Boom sandwich was delicious. Very casual atmosphere and very friendly owner and staff. I'm looking forward to trying other menu items!

What a really fantastic country store! They have most basic food staples up front but as you walk back you experience the real gem. A roomy beautifully decorated rustic deli with table & counter seating. They also have tasty beer on tap. I visit when I'm in the area and try a new sandwich each time. I am always pleased with the service , quality of food and the friendly and helpful owners and staff. I highly rrecommend a visit here.

The food here is pretty good. Unfortunately the staff is less than polite.Our lunch was prepared by a crass woman who refused to wear a mask while standing behind a "no mask, no service" sign. No one thanked us for spending about $50 on sandwiches and drinks either.
