The best little corner store for miles around! A store where you can find a clever mix of delicious treats, craft beer, essential staples and beautiful artwork. It was also evident that this spot is a hub for community building with many sponsored events. As a tourist in the area I was very grateful for some excellent hiking advice. I will go back every time I'm in the area!

Authentic Adirondack Establishment: It is worth it to come far and wide for real home crafted products such as local maps. As well as high quality food stuffs and a wonderful cooler selection. The owner of Otto's abode also features a wide selection of local music. If you are looking to experience the culture of this wonderful area this is a sure stop.

Wonderful little place in a wonderful little community! A little oasis in a food desert. Always an assortment of fresh fruits and veggies which is very welcome in an area where it's an hour drive to anywhere else. Also they have just about every other thing you may need stuffed into an awesome little store! Always stop here while out and about. 😊

Otto's Abode is definitely worth a stop and repeated stops. It is a well stocked small store with a variety of food items, a walk-in cooler with many beverages, a fantastic proprietor and a stop worth making if you're traveling through the North country. .

Very glad I stopped in. Such a convenient store full of essentials and the gentleman working the front counter was super friendly and helpful. Next time I'm in The Five Ponds, I'll have to stop by again. Also the black fly patches really work!

This amazing general store is a work of art in itself. There’s something to catch your eye, feed your stomach and soul, and make you smile in every nook and cranny. If you see a sign for Wanakena, turn in and come directly to Otto’s Abode where you’ll find Nolan Fedorow, the artist and proprietor.

Such a special place!! No matter your drive, Otto's Abode is totally worth it! They're so knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Their selection is out of control awesome. Filled with artwork, amazing hand drawn postcards, a great map selection, and delicious treats; they have a really impressive selection from basics to specialty backcountry gear.. Otto's Abode is really amazing, so glad I went!

Run by the legendary Nolan and housing the finest beers, art, and provisions the North Country has to offer! Definitely worth stopping in when you visit the footbridge or hike a trail in good old Wanakena.

Super unique, super clean, super friendly. There were postcards, books about local wildlife and hiking, a wide variety of candy and snacks, a little grocery section with fresh cheese, sausages, dry + canned goods etc; The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful!

This place is great! I stopped in 3 years ago and again today! Alot changed but in a good way. Lots of amazing things to choose from. Alot of hiking maps and trail guides too! T-shirts and drinks and oh so yummy coffee!

Otto's is located at the gateway of the last frontier in Wanakena. This is the art, cultural center and country store. We bought some chocolate and lingered awhile chatting with the clerk who was a fount of information about this area and the Northern Adirondacks. If you are in the area, stop at this store, adjacent to the Post Office.
