We stayed at this warm and cozy bed and breakfast in October 2023 and we experienced an amazing weekend with friendliness and top notch service with acute attention. Our room was very clean and we felt like we were stepping into a room filled with a lot of history of detoxing from the city life and much needed relaxation. The owners are a lovely couple dedicated to the true meaning of human kindness and what America is really missing these days. They opened up their home to us like we’ve known them for decades. We didn’t want to leave! Sal created breakfast treats each morning with Beverly by his side. Their dining area is a place where all their guests are kings and queens for the morning festivities. We enjoyed the conversation with the other guests and we all proceeded to eat delicious breakfast goodies like one big happy “Familia!”We plan on visiting Sal and Beverly again, like we would be visiting our distance LOVED ONES. We not only had a great experience at their BB we made new friends and to be honest friends like Sal and Beverly only come about once in a lifetime. Thank you both for making our two days with you guys magnificent. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and May all your dreams come true for the holidays season that’s upon us. Love to you both…Pat and Jeanie Sforza

My wife and I went up to the Hudson Valley for a fall weekend getaway, and we stayed at this B&B. We had a fantastic experience here, the hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the space is beautiful. Our room was very comfortable with a king-sized bed. The location was perfect - close to Minnewaska state park, as well as several nearby towns and a few good restaurants. The breakfasts were the highlight of the experience! One of the hosts is a CIA-trained chef and he made fabulous food for us - chocolate-stuffed french toast, a great frittata, and more. They serve breakfast at a communal table, which is nice for getting to talk to the other guests there. We would definitely stay here again.

Staying in the 1796 house with Sal and Bev was exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast spread was local and delicious, and the living quarters were rustic and comfortable. Our dog also felt right at home and had plenty of space to run around the property. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back in the future.

I brought my parents here for their first B&B experience and it could not have been a better experience. The house is extremely cozy and clean. The grounds are absolutely beautiful from the lilly pond, to the swing under the willow tree, hammocks, and all the other sitting areas. To bring it all together Beverly and Sal were amazing host. They worked with us through a booking error and were super accommodating throughout our stay. And the breakfast, yum!The location is perfect for a city getaway with so much to do in the area. We will be coming back!Lastly, I love that they are pet friendly, that is so difficult to find. We brought our golden retriever and a Doxie who enjoyed the stay as much as we did!

This was our fourth stay and it was wonderful as always. Sal and Beverly are great hosts. The breakfast is amazing. Chocolate stuffed French today, frittata, sausage, scones, Fresh fruit, yogurt...... deliciousness. Our dogs get excited when we pull up to the Inn. They love this place as much as we do. It's location is great. Close wineries, shopping at new paltz, distillery and more. Lombardi's restaurant is great for dinner which is right down the road. Planning our next trip soon!

This is a fabulous bed and breakfast. The grounds are gorgeous, and the water lily pond is simply jaw-dropping. Sal and Bev were wonderful and gave fantastic recommendations for dinner, breweries and drinks. Sal was also a professional chef for 42 years and made an incredible breakfast, very hearty, which was great because we had a full days of climbing in the Gunks afterwards (Great coffee too!). I couldn't recommend this place enough in you are in the area.

Thank you Sal & Bev for hosting us recently! We have stayed at the Inn at the Ridge twice & have enjoyed our stay both times. Love the character of the house. Breakfast is amazing--a lot of options and everything is very tasty. We sat by fire one night and made s'mores & enjoyed looking at the stars. Bev provided us with day passes to the nearby Mohonk Preserve and went for an afternoon hike. After our first stay, Sal & Bev gave us a few heads of garlic grown in their garden, which was the best garlic I have ever tasted--incredible flavor! And after our second stay, I left with some very tasty hot sauce Sal made. All in all, a great place & looking forward to staying at the Inn at the Ridge again!

We discovered this place after a long day of wineries, and thought it might be better if we found a place to stay rather than drive home. On this particular day, we were out with our Border Collie, and thought it would be difficult finding accommodations that would allow dogs over night. Fortunately for us, this place is very dog friendly. I’m very glad that we discovered this place. The owners (Sal & Bev) could not be more welcoming. This place is clean, and the weekend breakfasts are enough to keep us coming back

The house was most wonderful and the owners absolutely gracious hosts. Breakfast was outstanding, we wished we could have had more time to stay for more. We stayed in a room with a private bath and it even had a heater blower to help with the chill of the morning while in the shower.

The property is beautiful with nice seating areas outside with bonfire or by the pond. Inside is cozy with comfy furnitures appointed with tons of pillows & quilts. Just relaxing sitting inside :-) It is short drive to Mohonk preserve where you can take a walk, rock climb or mountain bike and easy drive to many restaurants, orchards and wineries. The owners are great and very knowledgeable about the area. I wish I could stay longer

We stayed at the 1796 Farmhouse while in town to participate in The Ride for Mental Health, a charity cycling event. Bev and Sal are wonderful humans who are so very welcoming. They had freshly made cookies, eggs from their chickens, organic bread and every little touch to make us feel at home. The house is filled with character and the grounds allow much relaxation. We contracted with Sal ahead of time to make dinner for us on Saturday evening which was the best decision ever! He even made sure he had a fire going outside afterwards for us to relax. We would most definitely stay here again! We loved our time at the Farmhouse and look forward to visiting again!

My husband, our dog and I stayed at The Inn at the Ridge for 3 nights this past week. We found it on the internet while searching for dog friendly accommodations near New Paltz. It exceeded our expectations! The hospitality and the ambiance were both outstanding. Sal and Bev were more than welcoming, treating us like friends and they met all of our needs. Bev kept reminding us that it was “our house” for the duration of our stay. Since it was mid week, Sal didn’t cook for us, however the refrigerator was well stocked for breakfast and there were chocolate chip cookies for snacks as well. The basic items were added to and replenished throughout our stay.We spent most of our time exploring the area but we also spent time on their grounds just enjoying the outstanding view.Sal and Bev prepared a fire for us one evening. It was lovely.I would highly recommend visiting The Inn at the Ridge. We can’t wait to return.

Celebrated a birthday and anniversary at Inn At The Ridge July 17-20- our second time at the Inn. Bev and Sal are wonderful hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the area and a superb breakfast that provides energy for a day filled with hiking in the nearby Shawangunk Mountains. The rooms and house are so comfortable and the grounds are beautiful with gorgeous views. Rooms are on the second floor. The Hudson Valley room was very comfortable and has windows facing east and south on the road side of the house. Road noise did not bother us and the rooms are all air-conditioned. The West Point room also faces east. The Drawing room has a king sized bed (others have queen beds) and faces west. These three all have small ensuite bathrooms. Lavender room faces west and south with bathroom on first floor. All are thoughtfully and uniquely decorated and dog friendly.
