We had purchased a vehicle for our daughter at Matthews in Syracuse a few months ago and decided to try Matthews in Vestal. We received the same great service as we did before. They even found us cheaper financing than my local credit union. We were able to take our new vehicle home the same day. Thank you Adam Barnes and the rest of the staff for a non stress buying experience. Even the woman who did the vehicle detailing was fast and efficient. Also, the popcorn in the lobby and free snacks and beverages was a nice touch.

Jeremy was recommended to us and he definitely lived up to his referral recommendation. We called a head to schedule to see a specific vehicle it ended up not being the one for us. We were running late and he had to finish up with another customer. That didn’t stop him from finding away to help us. We went to start walking the lot and lo and behold he runs out with keys and say I have the car for you. Sure enough it was exactly what we were looking for. He was also very patient and helpful with all the paperwork and explaining everything to us. In addition all the staff was friendly and very help and made us feel important including the manager. Thanks Jeremy and team!

This was my first time coming to a dealership or even owning my owned vehicle and when I walked into the location.. MIKE GOFF is the GOAT!! He immediately welcomed me and my gf and instantly asked me what I needed and was really friendly and helpful from start to finish. If you hire more workers they must be like him because he is definitely the one you should want to show the new comers how and what to do when someone needs to find a car I truly appreciate the experience I had buying my car with you guys!! I unexpectedly needed a new car on a holiday week. I originally just stopped in to Planet PreOwned and didn’t have the greatest experience. So I asked a friend for a recommendation on a salesperson. Mykel Kittle was suggested. I connected with Mykel and the rest is history. He let me look and ask questions at my own pace, didn’t pressure me at all and offered support when I needed it. Mykel made the process MUCH less stressful and I will certainly recommend him and return in the future! If you’re in the market , call Mykel- best car sale experience I’ve had, and I’ve been through the process many times! Mykel came in the day before a holiday to get me in my new(preowned) car just in time for the holiday! 5star experience!

I had bad credit from getting hit by a car out of state years ago. I needed a new vehicle though and I was told by the finance guy that he would get me financing. He also stated that in NYS interest in car loans cannot be over 16%. He got me a loan alright, later co e to find out I'm paying g 25.25%, now I am stuck, can't find anyone to refinance me, and after 1 years I owe $8000 more than The vehicle is worth, and every $561 monthly payment is made my balance goes down about $50/month. Thanks Planet Pre-owned, talk about being in the hole.

Mike Goff is by far the BEST person to deal with when buying a vehicle. This is our 4th vehicle we have bought from him. The experience is always a pleasure. He is so pleasant, down to earth, and doesn't waste your time. Bottom line pricing, explains everything, and works around your schedule. I had shopping to do when I picked up my new truck, so I just dropped off my trade in with the paperwork and came back a few hours later, signed, and drove off the lot! The entire process from the test drive to leaving with my new vehicle took less than an hour! I can't recommend Mike Goff enough, and my husband and I would never want to buy from anyone else!! Isaiah Brooks was my sales consultant and he did a fantastic job. There was hiccups with paperwork that were no fault to the dealer, just insurance things. He handled them easily, communicated clearly and quickly, and answered all of my questions. This was my 3rd time purchasing a car, first time from planet preowned, and I can confidently say the experience was wonderful. If you're worried about salesman coming to attack you as soon a you pull in, that won't be a problem here. Not only was Isaiah great, but the other sales consultants in the area also piped up with helpful information. This is not a dog eat dog dealership.

The sales consultants I dealt with were great! They listened to me and gave me concise answers to any questions I asked. Took the test drive, bought it, signed the paperwork and drove off. It felt like I was buying a car from a friend or relative. No hidden costs or extra fees. Gave me some options on financing and no bull of asking what payment I was looking for. The car was to the dollar of what I figured prior to walking in to make the deal. I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

The lease for my 2020 Nissan Rogue was ending in May and I wanted to try a different brand. My wife and I stopped at Matthews VW, primarily to look at the Tiquan, but noticed the Taos. We went inside the showroom to talk to a salesman and they were all busy. Jack Richardson assured us that a salesman would be with us soon. Mike Goff introduced himself to us and we told him we were interested in the Tiquan and Taos. We test drove both and decided that the Taos was the one we were more interested in. Mike did a search only to find there was only one in the area and not really the color I wanted. A few days passed and we decided that white wasn't really a bad choice. When I returned to the dealership, I found that Mike had gone on vacation, but Adam Barnes would assist us. Long story short, a gray one showed up and we closed a deal on it. From the first time I walked into a Matthews showroom 9 years ago, we've always been treated well. I dealt with the Nissan service center for those 9 years and have been very pleased with their quality of service and respect for the customer. I would expect nothing less from the VW side of the dealership. I look forward to the next 3 years of my lease and the positive experiences to come.

On Monday 10/09/2023 I had the misfortune of dealing with manager Jack Richardson at this dealership who displayed an appalling level of arrogance and dishonesty. My experience left me deeply dissatisfied, frustrated, and disappointed with the overall customer service.First and foremost, this manager presented himself as nothing short of arrogant. From the moment I stepped foot on the lot, it was evident that he cared more about his ego than the customer's needs. Instead of genuinely listening to my concerns and preferences, he disregarded my input, treating me with an utter lack of respect.Furthermore, I had an appointment's scheduled over 4 days ago with confirmation with the dealership for 10/09 at a specific time. I arrived early and the vehicle was not even at the dealership I waited over an hour and a half to be told by Jack "Oh well, we run 14 dealerships and its first come first serve" though I had a set appointment. Hence, never did I get the chance to test drive the vehicle.What truly stunned me was his blatant dishonesty. I came prepared, having researched the fair market value of the vehicle I was interested in, primarily relying on the reputable Kelly Blue Book. To my dismay, the manager not only ignored this trusted industry resource but proceeded to overprice the vehicle well above its fair market value. It was evident that he was more interested in padding his pockets than offering a fair deal to a potential customer.Perhaps the most disheartening aspect of this experience was the manager's complete indifference to my dissatisfaction. When I raised valid concerns about the vehicle's price and expressed my frustration with the appointment situation he brushed it off without a hint of empathy. It was abundantly clear that he couldn't care less about my experience or my concerns as a customer.Though a deal was not made, My salesman Mykel, was very professional, friendly and very helpful. I highly encourage everyone to seek him as he can sure turn a negative experience into a positive one as the great person he is, he deserves 5/5 stars and I am ashamed that such great employees there have to deal with such arrogant manager Jack Richardson.In sum, my experience with this manager was a disheartening example of how not to treat customers. His arrogance, dishonesty, and blatant disregard for customer feedback have left me with a sour taste in my mouth and a firm resolve never to return to this dealership. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase here to proceed with caution and be prepared to face a manager who puts his own interests ahead of the customer's satisfaction. I am glad I was able to find another dealership down the road that not only offered me way more for my trade in, listened to my concerns but also helped me find a vehicle I enjoyed and treated me with respect. Overall, this dealership has lost my family's, friend's and my business.

Sales Team was great. Definitely recommend visiting if in the market for a good used vehicle. Never pressured me. Worked hard to get me financed and was never judgmental about my situation. Good warranties provided. Very much enjoying the New Used Wheels. They didn't send me away with a full tank of gas, however, they did provide a full spare key for the vehicle, which is not cheap and usually you have to ask and sometimes beg a dealership to do - So I'm going to call that a balanced trade-off.
