Dr. Jiao is awesome. We had to put our beloved, 14 year dalmatian to sleep. Dr. Jiao helped us through a really rough day by being compassionate and understanding. They made the process of having to put down my girlfriend's dog easier to handle. Didn't rush us out as a different vet had in the past. Was allowed to cry for a while with him until we were ready to go. A good vet to come to during normal times as well. Friendly staff

Dr. Jiao and dedicated team time and time again are extremely helpful in this much sought out vet.Dr. Jiao is extremely knowledgeable. He provides you with options, then his best recommendations.He/ they don't try to sell you the most expensive procedure per say. This to me alone shows their dedication and commitment to helping us the clients navigate through many difficult times with our fur babies!! Highly recommend!!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐈‍⬛🐈🐕‍

Dr. Jaio is by far the best veterinarian I have taken my dogs to, I wish I had found him sooner. He is very compassionate and practical. He's a wonderful vet and certainly is not out to make you spend money on unnecessary procedures.

We have been using Dr. Jaio since 2015 and cannot thank him for all the time, patience, and expertise on behalf of our sweet Bella. She has pushed through many hardships thanks to your expert care and outlived many illnesses because of you. No matter how challenging her health got, we could always turn to you for help, answers, and advice. Dr. Jaio made time for us even when he was not working during her final days. Bella had cushings disease, pancreatitus, enlarged heart, a collapsed treachea, seizures and a mast cell tumor. She outlived all of these illnesses and passed at 16 thanks to you.We are also grateful for the care we recieved from his staff. They work hard and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable especially during emergencies and hard times. I was never worried to leave Bella knowing she had the best care.

This vet has to be one of the worse vets I could have ever encountered, I went in with my sick cat and he did not give me time to think about her health and more so focused on the cost. Like seriously, how could you focus on money over the patient. He did not seem genuine, this “vet” would recommend things to help my cat but turn it down as if I wouldn’t do anything in the world to save my cat. So overall, this so called “vet” needs to speak with the pet owner with compassion and some sort of sympathy.

Dr. Jiao is a remarkable vet who is very knowledgeable and caring. He helped diagnose our dog Chance and because of early detection, we gained more time with our furry family member. He went out of his way to call us many times to give us updates about bloodwork and to just check in. We will forever be grateful to him and his staff for their care and guidance.

Dr. Jiao has been caring for my dog and cat for 10 1/2 years since pup and kitten and he’s the best veterinarian I’ve ever been to. He’s extremely knowledgeable about everything he’s genuinely concerned about the pet’s underlying issues and goes the extra mile to explain how to care for comfort cure and protect my furbabies from further illness etc. I’ve texted Dr Jiao’s cell at midnight while my 5 lb chihuahua was seizing and he answered back immediately with instructions I’d never seen anything like this kind of caring professionalism and I thank him and his entire team so kindly for everything. Don’t hesitate to bring your pet to Dr Jiao @ westchester animal hospital!!!!

This hosptial has no sympathy. They don’t give good advice, I had a pet give birth to a armless kitten. The bone was still there but open and I called this hospital. All they had to say was to wait for it to die. WHERE IS THE HUMAN DIGINITY IN THAT FOR ME AND THE POOR KITTEN. I MEAN SERIOUSLY YOUR BEST ADVICE IS TO LET A KITTEN DIE.

My dog Max can tell by himself when we pass by on our daily walk he wants to go in. Max always get in and when doctor calls his name he gets in the examination room and jump right on the examination table.Also the best guys upstairs give him a very nice hair cut and he smells sooo good. Those pictures are from when we came back home from surgery and Max was on his favorite spot : our queen sized bed.

Vet are the best. 100% recommendI've been coming here with my English springler spanier dog (toby) for over 10 years. The best vet, is like he knew by just looking at your pet what's wrong.Toby got bitten once, I sent him a pic and he told me immediately what to do.Now I adopted a German shepherd an will continue taking my dog here, even though I moved farther and is 33 minutes drive. But for my 🐕 I don't mind the drive.

You absolutely can not find a better practice to go to. He's very honest and almost always right in diagnosing and treating your loving pet. He leaves it up to you whether you want to spend endless money to confirm what he believes is going on. If you like a vet that's knowledgeable and doesn't make you take out a mortgage on your home to treat your pet than he's the one for you. Today I had to put my 17 year old cat to sleep. It was a horrible and traumatic experience for me, but Dr. Jao and his staff were amazing. Dr. Jao was so compassionate and took his time with me even though his office was completely full of pets waiting to be seen.

Dr. Jaio and the girls are AMAZING! I have a puppy pug that was born with diabetes and I took Pote to 4 different veterinarians and even the emergency vet and no one could figure out what was wrong with him when he was 4 months old. Dr. Jaio figured it out and started him in small doses of insulin. Now Pote is a whole new pup full of life! For a few months there I was worried he was dying on me and now he turned 1years old and gained so much weight. I’ve been meaning to write a review to Dr. Jaio and his entire team! They really care about helping our furry family and I am eternally grateful! Thank you for putting up with my many calls when we were trying to figure out what was wrong! You are truly appreciated <3

I’m not one to write reviews, but after reading negative reviews, I felt the need to post my own.Dr. Jiao has been taking care of my 4-legged “kids” (dogs & cats) for over 20 years, way before I rescued Coco, my Golden Retriever (in the pic with Trubble, who is now 13). I’ve found him to be caring, concerned, reasonable & to the point & always a phone call away. A bit short & fast-spoken at times, but that doesn’t take away from his expertise & concern for his furry patients. He’s a straight shooter & will always steer you in the right (&—in my experience—the most reasonable) course of treatment, giving you the option to choose whether you want to pursue further specialized care. I have no complaints & have always referred family & friends to his practice. In fact, I moved from lower to upper Westchester County 3 years ago & while friends have recommended a few veterinarians 5-10 minutes away from home, I still travel 45 minutes to his office—he is that good!!

This hospital has been one of the best animal hospital. The vet really takes the time to explain about my pets in the past and also my pet now. Sometimes he talks a little fast and goes a little fast and you need to be really listening gto him. However, he is a good vet. The staff is courteous and helpful most of them. It's also a good place to board out your pet.

I'm a new pet owner of 2 Siemens cats. I've looked and reviewed many vets before choosing Westchester Animal Hospital and it was the best decision I've made. The vet is amazing, he knows and remember my cats, he return calls the same day and he can let you know what's wrong over the phone. The staff is amazing as well.

Dr. Jiao has been my dog's vet for the last 10 years. For the most part, my dog has been in good health and visits to the vet have been routine. I've always appreciated Dr. Jiao's "tell it like it is" style.In the last year, however, my dog has suffered from a couple of potentially scary things -- cloudy eyes, tooth extraction, allergies, tick bite, and most recently an oral tumor. I treat my dog as if he is my child. In each of these instances, Dr Jiao has stood by my side, on and off-hours, walked me through steps, and always provided a "let's rule out the obvious first" approach. From a financial and emotional point view, I appreciate his not jumping to the worst case scenario, like so many other vets do.His clinic is modest, clean, and the staff is kind and highly professional--both front and back of house. Dr Jiao is straight-up, caring, and after working in animal ER for so many years, really knows his stuff. I can't say enough good things. Highly recommend.

Love this place didn't have to wait too long for my dog to be seen by the vet and the vet was so nice and treated my dog very well and gave me clear instructions on what i could do to help my dog. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet in the mount vernon area.

Dr. Jiao is simply the best!!! He has cared for my babies since they were months old. He doesn't rush the visits, explains everything thoroughly, responds to calls immediately & he's very compassionate. The ladies at the front desk are all great, they're all sweet, very knowledgeable, and are very compassionate as well. Very easy and quick to get an appointment. Wouldn't trust my baby's with anyone else.

Dr. Joai is a good vet I had him since my cat which was thirteen years ago & now my dog Jeremiah Lhasa Apso who extremely has had a few episodes from, allergic reactions, to not feeling well, or checkup & doctor Joai always respond back, even in midnight hours we had to call. Roseboro Family appreciate him & his excellent staff. A+
