Any one comments that this store is a mess is lying because this is one of the cleanest and tidiest dollar general stores this side of NYC- even though they have to put up with unruly customers who throw things wherever they feel. Only problem is they are always out of stock on top selling items

Things are way out of control over there these days. Workers now bring their ill trained kids to work! Give them toys off the shelves then let them play behind the counter! Everyone working there seems related to the mgr somehow since they say & do whatever they want. The most unprofessionally run store I've EVER experienced. Wow.

The store is usually neat. But there are times when the staff is restocking the shelves and leave the cashier up front alone and a line forms. Long lines are not favored but I understand the need for staff to multitask. Price are great and the products are good quality. I have never seen a manager since I have been shopping there or maybe I have but their attire was indistinguishable from the regular employees.

I checked out this store and was pleasantly surprised at the door. Lots of carts, clean aisles with no unpacked boxes, well stocked shelves and lots of goodies priced lower than most places. Icing on the cake was the super nice cashier & extra strong reusable bags.

The staff is very rude i dont know who is worst the girls at the register or the stock guys. Also when walking threw shopping it seems the stock guys/security are always following or looking out to see if your stealing. It makes a very uncomfortable shopping experience its sad because alot of great products are carried here but i don't think ill be back

The manager of this store does not know how to talk to customers. The staff was very friendly and went out there way to help but he was very rude and disrespectful. I do not understand how the employees work under him. Its ok because I am friends with the mayor of our city and you never know who enters your store. Next time I enter the store it might be with channel news 12. No customer should feel uncomfortable when shopping. Who ever hired him needs to re evaluate them selves. Most stores have a market manager/district/corporate/hr who will will respond? Does dollar general care about there customers or is this just a place to collect revenue? I do not recommend anyone to this store while he is in attendance.

The store had everything I needed for example essential items like Clorox wipes lemon scent. Can't find it anywhere else, not even Target. It's at the cash register. That made my day even better!!

Manager allows the cashiers to work whenever & however they like. I was kept waiting on line with 3 other customers while 4 cashiers, '' looked on, ignoring us and allowing just 1 cashier take the brunt of all the work!

I went to do some shopping in the store today and it was the worst experience in my life, I wanted to purchase some hair care products on the two shelves they had two tags that said dollar deals for the items so I went to the manager who was very rude I asked him could he tell me the price being as though he was just standing behind the counter doing nothing, he rudely told me to check the price on the price checker,after I did so I saw the price I then told him that there was tags for dollar deals under the items, i suggested to him that he should remove the tags cause its misleading, he then proceeded to tell me I was not getting the item for the dollar deals tag when that's not what I wanted. He became irate with me so I gave him the same energy back .He then told me that this is America and I replied I know that cause I was born and bread here were you? I told him that he was rude and out of line to be a manager and that I was going to call corporate, her then told me I could call corporate all I want that he would still be manager ,then he told me if I kept talking he was gonna put me out the store, at that point the only way I could see him doing so is if he physically did so. I believe that if he felt so comfortable talking to me like that then he's done it numerous times before I will never enter that 205 east 3rd st. Mt.Vernon NY 10553 store again.

Over all nice to have a general store in the neighborhood.....but their cashiers/and or management need training on customer service....and a full staff...of cashiers. The line is wrapped around the isle like they are giving away something. 1i cannot stress the customer service they are the worst little jamaican girls....if you dont want to work STAY HOME! period

I had a very bad shopping experience tonight dollar general in Mount Vernon. The so called Manger who was on got upset because my 1 year old dropped gold Fish on the floor and because I didn't tell anyone it dropped he got upset and was telling me this is not family dollar. I had 2 children small with me and he was cursing and carrying on. He proceeded to tell the cashiers not to ring me up and if they do he was going to fire them. That is no way a manager carries kn in front of other customers. Accidents happen that was need to carry on like that because a baby dropped gold Fish on the floor. Very unprofessional 0and I will be making a further complaint about him him to the General manager supervisor

Nice store and very clean . Dollor Tree is nasty dirty and never enough workers. Everything in Dollar General might not be a dollor. But there is a dollor section and the prices are still great.

I visited this store for the first time last week. It was well stocked, clean, and customer service was good. Compared to the one on white plains road in the bronx, this is a palace! Some things were overpriced otherwise its a great store

Horrible, talk about not worring about covid. Drinking , eating while their ringing me out. Food on my receipt. Disgusting, I didn't even put my number in for coupons and rewards I had, because I just wanted out of there!

List staff are great but there's never enough working there. They need extra staff to help unpack all the deliveries because aisles are very crowded.

place is ok but the CSR dont even care for its customers...I was standing right in front the register and the CSR LADY was just staring at her cellphone all the time.....maybe she thought "I'm cool the way I drive myself". I dont think so

Mount Vernon Dollar General. Lots of nice goodies. Not too many Dollar Items. Store nice and clean well organized. Love the friendly singing cashier

Just left on May 8 2021. Manger is incompetent. Sign on door says “Wear mask” half the employees behind register are not wearing mask. One guy bald head not even dressed for work with a big Gold chain. Unprofessional and ghetto

I did not have a very good experience in the store. The storm is very messy and dirty. I cannot find anyone to help me. You cannot find anything in the store. Maybe I went at the wrong time Christmas holiday.

Since cards cost so much..I love that I can get 20 nice cards for 20.00 or less compared to $100.00 at other stores...
