We went to pick up a graduation present for my son. He wanted a hamster 🐹. After calling around and visiting a few shops we ended up here at the Valley Stream location. Our salesperson(Courtney) was amazing (5/5). She was knowledgeable, informative, helpful, and made some great recommendations. Walking around the shop, receiving a care lesson all while picking up the essentials that we needed to set up our home was fun 😀. We then met a few of the hamsters. Mommy began to develop some second thoughts 😱 after the first few cages were opened but when we met Chunks(our Long Haired Syrian Hamster) she was totally on board 😁. Courtney transfered Chunks to a temporary carrier then walked him over to the check out counter and gave us a few more tips. We had an awesome experience.Overall the store was pretty clean, well stocked and the staff were friendly. 4 1/2 Stars.

first and not my last time here. very understanding grooming team that did everything in their power to make my dogs experience pleasant and easy. don't remember my groomers name but thank you! (military Tuesday discounts are good too...lol)

I've never met anyone who loves birds as much as 1 employee. Which was pretty knowledgeable everything about them. He was very helpful. This place has a wide variety of toys an food for birds only thing that was missing was theirs no birdcages. Not even an aisle for them. That's why I gave 4stars. If I wanted to upgrade or buy a bird in the store I'd have no where to put it. Shout-out to the bird guy tho he deserves a promotion✌️

Love this place, it’s big and they always have plenty of bugs for my reptiles, someone is always available to help too. They take very good care of their animals compared to the other stores around and the employees are kind and knowledgeable. Recently bought a crested gecko here.

This petsmart is pretty standard, there's not a whole lot to say about it. I assume because of the pandemic they don't have a huge selection of hamsters or birds. When I visited a couple of days ago there were just a few small pets. I thought it was pretty sad how the betta fish were in tiny cups when Betta fish require a lot more space. I understand that the tiny cups are easier for transportation, but, the fish are stuck in those cups for long periods of time while in the store. They do sell spacious tanks which is great. There are a lot of pet supplies here at a wide range of prices so if you plan on getting a pet they have everything you would need to take care of it.

If you go for fish you must be patient and wait until someone is available. I feel like you wait and when they help you they go as if they don't have time. Like they don't want you to buy.

I just adopted two amazing kittens and everything I needed for them was right there. I got coupons foradopting and free food to help with their transition (which so far has been great). I’m very happy with my experience thank you so much. Shelves are a little empty but might just be busy. The staff on all three visits so far very courteous. And convenient there is a hospital on site as well.

I have been going to petsmart for my dogs grooming, clothing, toys and nutrition needs for the past 2 years. I love the way Angelica grooms her. She takes her time and she's never nipped her. Peppa is very antsy and has a lot of anxiety at times. She is vey comfortable with Angelica.Petsmart can be a lil pricey at times but they have a great variety of products.

Everything was in the one place everything I needed for my cats and dogs and more. Little on the pricer side though, but there is also a animal hospital with vets. Help was spot on and checking out was fast. Plus they had an entrance for disabled. Loved the shopping experience.

Large inventory, staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Some pet parents display a low level of cleanliness when their pets relieve themselves in the store but besides that a good place to get the supplies your pet needs.

They have a pet hospital inside Banfield Pet Hospital But stay away from this Banfield Pet Hospital they don't know anything about Pets hear they miss diganost my Pet they are rude and nasty from the Veterinarians down to the manager and the Veterinarian assistants all the Veterinarians dont speak good English you cannot understand them very well Just stay away unless you dont care for your pet I would Go to Oceanside Pet hospital Banfield they are very very professional and everyone speaks good English

Every time I bring my dog the excuse is he is matte and they charge and add extra fees to pad their pockets . They just like to shave all the hair off of your dog and not stylist.

This is my favorite place for my pet. Her vet is here. Her groomer is here, and she gets pet training here. I am very well pleased with all three services. It's a great place for my Yorkie 👍

we used to get great service here, seems as though their turn around with employees is very high. They used to be so nice and even before the pandemic I noticed a change in their customer services. In the past 2 years they have been completely off, the attitude, the lack of patience, groomers not showing up for appointments 2x and such an inconvenience when you reschedule everything around this appointment.If I may so, their again, their attitude.!!!!

Worse customer service EVER! waited for a while for someone to assist me at the gerbil section, noone came. It was super slow so there was no reason i had to wait that long, there was pee everywhere. Absolutely disgusting!!! Its always a battle when I come here to get assisted. I have offcially decided to give up and go to another location.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. They do not complete the service you pay for (this has happened twice) and the customer service is trash. My pup is 7 lbs and the groomer ( Her) never complained he acted like a dog who has never been groomed before but today that happened. SHE is the same person that took care of him the first time, he has been 3 times in total he is 4 month old. She complained while talking to on the phone the entire time. We paid almost 50 dollars for a subpar job I could have done myself in my bathroom and save myself the headache. We got in the car confused while examining our pup as to see what exactly did they do. I was so upset I was going to turn back but decided this will be our last time patronizing this business.

They don't have much of a variety. The staff is okay. You can go to other pet stores. That's love for you more and treat you better.
