Purchased pocket knives for all family members for Christmas last year and everyone is more than pleased with the quality, style, and craftsmanship of their knives...especially my brother-in-law and nephew ... who are custom home builders ... they use their knives on a daily basis.

Historic Utica Cutlery Company is one of only a handful of great American cutlery companies still operating. The USA had hundreds of knife companies at one time and I for one buy American when I need quality. Support your countries workers and business's when you can!!!

I purchased one of their large catskill stockman knives the other day. I can honestly say this is the worst quality knife I have ever held in my hands as a knife collector of 40 plus years! The bone scales had a crack in them by the center pin so wide and deep you can stick your fingernail in it! And the center pin was not even set on one side. The blades are not even close to being sharp, and are all extremely loose if you move them from side to side. Overall fit-n-finish is so poor it compares to a 3 dollar Pakistan knife ! Personally I wish a U.S.A. manufacturer like this would go out of business immediately, since they have not figured out how to make a quality knife since their beginning in 1910! This company is an embarrassment to all the other "quality U.S.A." manufacturers that produce great cutlery !
