The quality of employees at this location leave a LOT to be desired. As we were walking to the store entrance from our car I couldn't help but notice the young (and apparently very brave) young female employee taking her cigarette break standing in front of the two propane tank rental racks.. Always a problem at this location with employees smoking in front of the store. Hannafords gets more attractive every day.

HORRIBLE!!! Worst grocery shopping experience I've ever had!! I just left the Utica Price Chopper at approx. 10:45pm!! I saw ONE worker there...at the front checkouts! I had a hard time with the self checkout...but instead of helping me, the young female worker yelled at me twice (because I accidentally hit the wrong key))! NEXT TIME... HELP ME, instead of yelling at me!! Her attitude was BAD, and I always like to give 4 or 5 star rating!! She did nothing right!! I'll NEVER return to this store, unless a manager contacts me with an apology!! Remember...there's plenty of other stores to shop!! I'm VERY upset right now!!

Bad produce. Understaffed registers. This place needs a pick me up.Edit: since writing this review there’s been a noticeable difference in staffing and produce. I really hope it continues!

Checkout lines are horrible!!!! You'll spend more time waiting in line than doing your shopping. If you are lucky enough to get a cashier, they couldn't care less about actually doing their job. Heaven help you if you need assistance at the self checkout. They're too busy chatting with their friends or playing with their phones. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because sometimes they'll have good sales. Skip this store.

Deli should be open when the store opens not an hour later. Two workers behind the counter chatting (7:32am). Lights off. Bakery person told me deli opened at 8am. All signs on the counter were turned around. Grabbed a couple shelf items and left to go to a competitor for deli. However the cashier was amazing. Very friendly. She should get 5 stars!

Clean and stocked. Just spoke with one of the team members. Very very helpful. His was Matt did the meat packing in the back personable well-lit store very clean. Very good. novia was the young lady that helped me at the customer service. Novia, She was very friendly, smiled a lot and did not look away once spoken to

This might be my favorite Price Chopper if only by default. It's always well stocked and, while I've never seen it not busy, we've never waited very long to get checked out. I also like that the store is unabashedly an American supermarket; it doesn't pretend to be some "destination shopping experience.". You come in, get what you need and go back on your way with no fuss or frustration.Also, maybe it's because I'm not actually from Utica and the people here are just like this, but the staff here are really, really friendly and go out of their way to help you.

The self-checkout machines are very slow. The employees at the self-checkout one of the girls it seems like she doesn't want to work. And the heat coming from the vents in isles 16-18 is sickening because it's so hot outside we need relief from the heat when we come into the store.

Absolutely ridiculous sitting at the deli for over 15 minutes because there's only one person working and there's a line about 10 people deep and this poor deli kid has no help whatsoever and the *manager* said there's no hours to give people and no one wants to work. Do better price chopper. You're Walmart is starting to show...

Lobster sale. Arrived at 9am. Tank almost empty.Asked if there were more or any coming in employee rude and had the personality of a doorknob. No was the answer Sham sale.

Gina in the flower department was extremely helpful and kind. She saw me looking at their flowers and offered her assistance in picking some out. After flowers were picked, I told her they were going to a gravesite so I was hoping for some sort of biodegradable wrapping. She went above and beyond with arranging the flowers beautifully and making sure everything would not tarnish the cemetery.

The aisles were clean and the shelves were well stocked. They had quite a few deals. I enjoy their salad bar and bakery. And it's nice that they have a seating area to eat or, in my case, a place for my teenage children to wait for me because they don't enjoy the shopping part.

Very clean and organized. A bit disappointed in the stock. It always seems that they are out of our favorite products or that they just stop carrying them. From ice cream to cheese. Less and less to choose from these days. Bare shelves and produce the worst. Hit and miss on cashier availability.

I used to only shop here. The prices have inflated to a point that I rarely stop in anymore. Sadly, the typical family can't afford their prices.Update- sadly still way too expensive. I understand inflation is hitting everyone but my family has had to find different food sources

I work there actually! It changes from day to day! It depends on the customers we get daily! What their moods are! Whether they are moody and impatient, or polite and patient, to be completely honest! I enjoy the fast-pace, crazy-busy days! Makes the shift fly by! It's a fun place to work, for the most part!

Power went out while I was in there and the staff kept going like it was nothing. 10/10 staff at this location. As it is my go to price chopper in the valley. Thanks for all the hard work and keeping everything stocked and fresh

Customer service is terrible. Walked up to customer service today and I was the only person waiting, two employees behind the desk laughing between one another.. did not acknowledge my existence and just walked away. They didnt even walk through the door to the back, just out into the store. Not sure how difficult it is to say something like "Hi, I will be with you in just a moment" or something of the sort, but maybe my expectations are set too high. I would figure that would just fall under basic customer service etiquette. I just turned and left because I had no idea if they were coming back or what was going on.

Price Chopper has everything there that I could want. There haddock meal that I get on Friday's is absolutely amazing and a bargain for sure! The store is always clean and well stocked, even later in the day. Recommend for sure!

Completely ignored at deli7:40 PM Friday Dec 3rdFemale at self checkout is completely worthless had to go up to her and nudge her as she was reading with her head down to tell her of machine malfunction. Machine malfunctioned again immediately after and she never checked to see if it was ok, had to leave with my items to get in another line non self checkout She rolls her eyes at me because I disturbed her this store is a horrible place, stay away if you canHad to reenter store and Joseph C was very helpful ideal employeeSelf checkout female, is threatening and now have to avoid self checkout, horrible

This is my favorite of all the area price choppers. It is usually well stocked with the things i need. Can be a bit dirty especially near fresh produce. In general the cashier's are friendly, however, i always ask for double bags 🤷 & i have to remind the cashier 2 or 3 times to do it. Even during busy times, the wait isn't as long as at other price chopper stores. Overall i go out of my way to go to this location because it's just more of a pleasant experience especially when i need to bring my 6 year old son along!

The store is always clean and great service, but today I had to wait for a while to check our as there was only 1, 15 items or less- checkout and 1 regular checkout. Not the clerks fault, she tried to get help, but was told they were on break. Otherwise there is usually no problems.

Love the meats and vegetables departments. Hate the self check out.The store is well layed out and easy to navigate. Just when I went to cash out, the quickest way it seamed was the self check out line. I struggled using it and the store person just seamed activated by my lack of knowledge to use the system.

Great take out meals!! Fish fry dinner, few ways 2 order shrimp dinner or just shrimp by lb, pizza is great, everything u need and so many choices 4 a healthy good meal when 2 busy 2 cook. Amazing all the choices. Great staff and can find everything u need.

Bought entire tenderloin with label saying they'll cut and wrap it for free. Took half an hour to get it done and tried charging me for the scrap pieces for my dogs extra. $74 extra! Hell no!
