Open, but no open….. Store is never open past 8pm despite the hours of operation. Store is constantly cluttered. Store tap pay rarely works and you can never get cash back. Staff (minus a couple) are rude, inattentive, or incompetent. I’ll pay the $10 express delivery from Walmart to avoid them moving forward.

I love 🛍 to shop here for items for home or garden. Though, on the outside of store there's always so much trash. Absolutely disgusting unbelievable that it's used as a personal dumping ground. I'm not sure why management doesn't have it cleaned or have employees pick it up. Otherwise it's fun to shop there!

In a recent visit, the cashier threw my canned goods on top of a couple of bags of chips. I took the heavy canned goods out and asked for a separate bag to prevent crushing the chips. That same employee, then threw the canned into the second bag with the canned goods hitting the countertop hard....Horrible customer service, to say the least...Surely one of the isms.. agism, racism, etc..The photos shows that I purchased 15 items and you can see canned pineapple chunks at the top of the receipt.

Lord farquad with the blonde hair cut was complaining because I came in 15 minutes before closing. Complaining that customers like to come in last minute to shop for a long period when I only had came in for one thing. Confused because regardless of what time a customer comes in it’s your job. As if I needed the extra gossip while trying to grab something quick. Unnecessary and annoying.

The cashier Penelope not a very unpleasant person and doesn't look at the customer and make eye contact with them. Hand you your change back like the customer is scum and she doesn't want to look at you or make eye contact. This will be the last time I ever come here because he always seem to be rude.

Close to my house. Prices are OK for my budget, but they really need to get the lines moving faster. Kind of embarrassing to enter a store and the floors are filthy. Not very welcoming at 9:30am. The cashiers are nice, but I have not actually visited this store to see more than one line operating.

Family Dollar was nice and convenient. I walked in an was able to get assistance. I located the item I was interested in and was back out in less than 15. Perhaps it was just my day. The overall experience was nice-easy.

You get what you pay for, but in this store I found good-quality ceramic bowls for less than $1 each. They also have great prices on family-sized packs of cookies if you have a sweet tooth.

This store is ok, but I was told to leave my bag by the door. I refused and turned around and walked out. Is this a store wide policy, or a special thing in Utica NY? Who is going to leave their bag with business papers and other documents by the door in a place that can not be trusted to prevent theft in its own property.

This is one of the better Family Dollar stores. I was even able to purchase a decent quality sheet set,drinks and some grocery items. They also have a refrigerated section and a frozen food section.

Love their merchandise & most of the staff is friendly & helpful but it takes forever to cash out there most of the time.

If I could give a zero I would. Very disrespectful employees. Nothing but teenagers with a manager title that have no experience in customer service or in retail. Very dirty and never have but one cashier working. Just all around not inviting to customers!

The ilse were a little on the shorter side but that did not stop you from finding deals on name brands. The Staff had a smile when I came to the register.
