Terrible experience today! I checked online for needed items and everything was in stock, I tried to get a worker to check for an item, but they wouldn't. I got to the register to check myself out and the mixed and matched chips wouldn't ring up, stood there for 20 minutes without anyone in sight (I wasn't the only one) and I left everything right there and walked out. I pay 100$ a year to shop for items that no one wants to restock or even check for that matter to ring myself out, to having to wait 20 mins was my limit I had to leave for everyone's sake and then get harassed on my way out of the damn place. I'll never return even with someone else's membership. Thank you for saving me 100$ this year. Also no one's available for customer service and theirs no email to directly complain instead of putting this all over the internet!

Way too many times I have visited the store to find expired products on the shelves. Also, produce never lasts more than 2 days in the fridge. Not worth shopping here anymore if I have to keep throwing away food

Very strange and convoluted shopping experience for negligible savings.Upon purchasing a membership, your first task is to get to the service desk to pick up your membership card. Wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that there's usually only one person manning the station, and it seems like they feel they have time for small talk while the line is almost to the door.Once you have your card, you're greeted by a nonsensical organization of products in places you wouldn't expect. Why are peanuts under snacks, and triscuits and saltines hidden some in the middle of the store next to chocolate? The place is a labyrinth and nothing ever stays where it previously was.Last gripe, you'd think the prices in a wholesale club would reward buying in bulk, but that's not even the case. For example, an 8 pack of Goya black beans still has a price per unit higher than that of buying a single can at Walmart. Really disappointed.

CAW. Store is organized and well presented caw caw. Cashiers are hit and miss just because of the nature of them getting paid min wage caw caw. I'm taking one star off for a very personal reason caw caw.I've been trying to seek employment with them for over a year and manager that is in charge of hiring is extremely unpleasant on the phone caw caw. Will adjust review accordingly if the attitude changes caw caw.

Gas station was shut down before the business hours were over. One man even had the pump turned off on him while he was in the process of pumping gas. I would expect more courtesy towards people who already pay for this service. If this cannot be achieved, consider extending your business hours so that pumps operate indefinitely.

Decent place to shop, but they need to get rid of the stupid whistling robot that roams the aisles, or at least turn off the obnoxious whistling.

Haven't been here in about 10 years and the same stuff are all in the same places.No pizza or popcorn for sale these days but the smell of cheap perfume and chocolate chip cookies still waft thru the air.

I give it a 5 star due to a great employee they have working at #64, Utica, NY. Richard was extremely helpful and knowledgeable at the service desk. He went out of his way to break down what we would save and the options for an upgraded membership and the BJ's Mastercard.

Deeply saddened by B.J.'s customer service staff. I just filled up my cart (after working overnight, 12hr. shift), I get to the register and learned it's all self check out. Ok I get it - times are changing. I rang everything up but my B.J.'s card wasn't accepted. I hailed a clerk, and she told me my card expired. I just got my card April of 2021. No way. So then I had to renew (and pay for) my new card to finish my order. Normally I would've walked out as I also care for my 91 yr. old mother and needed supplies for her care. To add insult to injury, they asked if I wanted to open a B.J.'s credit card! Ummmmm 👎 no! BTW, I've been going to B.J.'s for almost 30 yrs.! Never had an issue.

Go here with my father in law every so often, as he has a membership. The store is always clean, they have lots of bulk items. However, you do need to know your prices or normal price range of items before you go in, because some items even in bulk are not worth the "discounted" price. They have a selection of books, personal care, clothes, jewelry, phones, tires, etc. Employee's are slow & don't seem happy to be there. Take forever to help you get items off a higher level shelf. Went and got gas at their gas station a couple of times after getting stuff here. You have to use your "BJ's card" to get the fuel discount. However, you need to pay cash if your not using a discount card that matches the name on your credit card. Found this out when my father in law swiped his discount card and I tryed to use my credit card to pay for the fuel, it kept rejecting the sale, went over to the attendant & he didn't know what was going on either, he thought something was wrong with the card reader, this kept happening until my father in law used his credit card then it worked. The next time we tryed again, different pump, different attendant, same issues, however this time, we hit cash instead of using his credit card to pay for my gas. Then it excepted the payment with the use of the discount card. I guess it is a way to protect the use of the discount card which is good. But maybe inform your employees on how it works? So that everyone isn't wasting their time?

Love BJ's Wholesale I save a lot of Money buying in Bulk here although don't like the Fact that they have No Bags to Bag your Items in. You have to just Carry them out of the Store or Bring a Reusable Bag!!! Other than that A Great Place to shop with Great Bargains!!!

I am a very regular customer to BJ's wholesale club in North Utica. I run a catering business locally and get a percentage if my food products and most of my disposable serviceware there. Their products are of top notch quality and very inexpensive. The staff there are very friendly, helpful, and courteous as each department is ike a separate market with a mom and pop store feel. The only problem I have I consistency​ of their products. As soon as a get used to buying and using something they take it off of the shelves and I have to get something different, especially with the disposable plates. Also they move their products around a lot making it difficult to find things. But all in all I would not shop anywhere else for my home and business due to product quality, price, and especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Now this is a place that a quick trip will not work because there is so much to explore. The shelves are chuck full of good values. The Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile.

First off in the summer they were hiring like crazy, every person who applied basically got the job , I know because I had a lot of friends and my boyfriend applied and got a call back in about a week, I've always had problems at the check out, the cashier are rude and very unprofessional. And on top of that my boyfriend was fired, and NO BODY called him or told him to his face that he was fired. No big boss or manager told him. He called them to see what time he was working and the deli manager was beyond disrespectful and said "don't come in anymore , you're useless" I heard him say it. Very unprofessional. This place doesn't even deserve the one star .

I love BJ's wholesale club... It's very clean and organized and the associates are very helpful... I mean like anywhere else, you sometimes can get better prices elsewhere, but overall, it's got great prices and deals when buying in bulk... Enjoyable atmosphere, great store...

Yesterday I was in the BJ's store in North Utica New York in the old Riverside Mall and I gotta tell you that the young lady, I think her name was Gabriel, was the most amazing help ever. She is a new manager I think. She was a great help.

Rude front end supervisors. No help loading carts. Standing around talking instead of assisting customers. People shop in stores like this for service. Amazon prime is looking more attractive.

They allow customers to walk around maskless and don't care when you complain. Even though they have signs every where saying that you must wear a mask.

Good hours, helpful staff, fair selection. Parking lot can get busy at peak times, and register lines can get overloaded. Set in the back of the shopping center.
