I rarely shop there anymore because the prices are near and sometimes over full price for expired or rejected foods. I understand that the increase is a new management decision. I will probably not go in again for a long time because of this. If it changes I'll probably shop more again there and update my review. Much of the produce I don't feel is fit for consumption either but they sell it at near full price many times.

I absolutely love this place! The selection varies from week to week... but I am saving HUNDREDS of dollars a month. I shop here first and then meal plan around what I find there. As with any bargain grocery, check expiration dates and check prices. Sometimes, the deals are not really deals. Staff is super helpful and friendly. The store is organized and clean. Bring your own shopping bags because theirs rip easily.

Whoever is sourcing the products finds incredible treasures and lists them at an unbeatable price. The bacon cheddar burger patties were unreal. Hope they're not in stock often because we probably shouldn't eat them regularly, so rich but so good. Stop by regularly for a food treasure hunt especially for the coconut water.

Always have a great selection of veggies and fruits. Very good prices. Was able to go a good size grocery for $25.00. very friendly sales associate. Some items have a few dents but still good!! Good place to save money.

Used to be a bargain, but the new management is greedy and decided to raise prices on basically everything. And not by a little bit either. 20%+ hike on everything. Hiking the price on food that is at the expiration date is just pathetic. A lot of families used to rely on this place for affordable groceries to make meals for their kids... not so much anymore. Avoid this money grabbing scam. You can pick up food at Auldi's or Walmart for a similar price, and it won't be expired or opened.

The best thing about Bargain is there is a frozen section where you can buy Haagandazs for 1 dollar. Yep not the smallest container its like the regular size. Vegetables are cheap but they don't last long. They also sell deli food. Staffs are nice and friendly.

You have to be super careful with a ton of the food, most of it is either past expiration or close to it. Many of the items are not much cheaper than, buying it in a regular supermarket. If you're getting fruits or vegetables look them all over extremely well a good majority of the produce is close to rotten or rotten you really have to pay attention and use them that day or very soon after. Do not expect it to last for meal prep or lunches

I thought this place would be like Grocery Outlet in California which despite the name Grocery Outlet is pretty cool, especially the one in Lompoc ..this place is not quite that. but I found Fairlife milk here for $2 at my first visit, so i go back hoping to find it again....

1out of 20 items are sometimes worth the deal. If they see something selling fast they raise the price. Some items are more expensive than Walmart.

Fantastic deals for name brand stuff! Sure, look at the expiration date but most is well over a week away so it's still worth it. I've gone here twice now to treat myself to items I normally wouldn't get because it's out of my budget list. Friendly staff, busy without being claustrophobic, and they get new inventory all the time.

This place really does have some really good quality products here, and they're incredibly cheap. I got an entire big fruit tray for $4. It's really nice, especially because of how little income I have usually, so this place is a god-send, genuinely. There are some products I wish I could find here, but hey, really not much to complain about, the prices for everything is extremely affordable.

I was impressed with Bargain Grocery. Great prices, decent selection. Some items look older in time and freshness and some not really. Checked it out later in the day and some items were gone or looked over a little. We did make some good purchases. With the big players banging everyone to increase their bottom line this is a welcome addition to the grocery shopping experience. I will continue to check it out and get items that most others grocery stores are making a killing on. Thank you for doing this and I hope you have great success.

It's a store for charity and they sell foods that would otherwise get thrown out. They used to have better meat prices but I get they have a bigger and better location and are for charity. Still very good prices on most things. If you have food stamps you can double your food stamps dollars on fresh produce here. Definitely helpful for stretching the food budget. I always go here first and then build my meals around what I find here. Good staples too to stock up. Lots of freezer items, so having a deep freezer is useful for bargain shopping because it's hit or miss on what they have.

In a state that can be very expensive to live, this hidden gem makes it easier on the budget. ~You do have to watch the expiration dates on some items!!~ Other than that I really like it. Update; I've noticed lately their prices had increased as everything else has!! You still get beat the prices, a regular grocery store would be doubled!!

Great deals on bread -- good brands like Heidelberg and others for $2 last I checked, look in the frozen section. I feel repeatedly disappointed at the smelly, expired milk and other foods gone bad. I get that it's for charity however I don't know who would eat shriveled up, rotten produce. Sometimes I get a break on random closeouts usually kept up front. Clerks are friendly and store accepts cards. Lines get long but move rather quickly. Not a bad place, just be careful what you buy. Caveat emptor.

Checked this place out after learning that profits are used to feed thousands of food insecure families across New York State. That alone is reason enough to shop here, so I wasn't expecting much.To my delight, this store had many items I regularly buy, as well as others that I haven't found elsewhere locally after moving here from Los Angeles.—$10 pizzas for $4—$5-$6 vegan meals for $3—$5-$6 pints of [vegan] ice cream & sorbet for just $1They may not have everything, and the produce was a little spotty, but I would be a fool to not stop by weekly. The combination of saving such a significant amount of money, along with this rare, selfless business model, is far too good to pass up. I've never felt more pleased walking out of a grocery store, in my life.

Always love the variety of products. Even though the store has been hit with some of the increases in prices, there are always bargains. Thank you folks for looking out for us “little people”. My budget can feed us for another few months. They staff is amazingly friendly, patient and kind.

They have great deals but check the expiration dates. Half their products are out-of-date and not marked you have to check every date on every product but when you find products in date you cannot beat their prices. They have a lot of items you can't get in any other store in this area. Staff is very friendly.

Everything here is affordable. Sometimes there are really good deals too you wouldn't find anywhere else in the world like 10 dollars for a case of Gatorade. The only problem is that all this stuff is bought from Walmart when their products get close to the expiration date so if you buy too much stuff from here then expect some of it to go bad after a day or two. About half of the stuff they sell will go bad in less than a week and the other half won't go bad for at least a month. You gotta be careful shopping here I guess.
