I've been looking at this place for years and finally was able to visit, and I wasn't disappointed! They truly are nature's best attraction, education, and fun. They have everything for kids, adults, and senior citizens. We saw all age groups touring and enjoying the finest that nature has to offer. If you have been here before, it is definitely worth taking a trip. I wish I had gone sooner! We will definitely visit again next year!

What an incredible museum! The habitat exhibits are so cool for kids (and big kids) to prowl around in, but I was particularly impressed with the dedication to making the entire space interactive. The observation hive was especially cool to see, and despite being a grown man, I stuffed myself in the otter observation log like a 5 year old (The otters obliged me and came over to say hello).

This place was sooo cool!! Went with an adult group of friends at night for The Wild Walk (day before New Years Eve). A lighted walk through the trails and the museum center was open to see the exhibits as well. First let me say I have visited plenty of eco-centers, natural history museums and zoo’s and this site has it all. It was perfect for families and friends off all ages. We saw young families, active adults, and family with teens and it seemed to be enjoyed at all levels (of course if you’re not into nature, it might not be your thing…. But it could also be the place that converts you to a nature lover). The displays were very interactive and could be enjoyed by all levels. The animal and plant exhibit were extremely well done. Trails and walkways were great for all levels and plenty of fun things for kids from 1-89 😊 to enjoy. Can’t wait to go back in the summer or fall during the day light hours to enjoy some of the longer trails.

Such a wonderful experience for my 3 kids (10, 8, 5)! Loved everything outdoors and indoors. Plan to spend 3+ hours your first time. The otters were so fun to watch and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Wow! So happy we took the time to visit this gem in the Adirondacks. The wild walk was so much fun and the views are amazing. This is such a great place for kids, especially to spark interest in nature and conservation. My personal favourite was the Forest Music walk - it was ethereal and I could have stayed all day.

I liked this place alot. It has some trails to walk and see a river. The walkway to the "bird's nest" is not too long and there are some bridges in between the decks that you can cross. This is a great place to take children. The museum area was filled with fun educational information. We got to see otters and other creatures that live in the water. We also had the chance to see an owl. There's a snack bar and an area outside where you can sit, eat & enjoy nature. I am glad I went . Highly recommended!

This was our families first trip. We spent 4 hours taking it all in. On the map at the door it will let you know of different things that goes on. We were able to make it to the Otter show that was 20 minutes long. It was great. Gift shop has pencils, books, shirts, post cards, Christmas tree ornaments and so much more. Most things are marked on the high end but they do have camper/water bottle stickers for $5+, the pencils, cards and other little items. We can't wait to go back this winter for the winter light show.

Wonderful place to explore. Had a great indoor area and fantastic easy hiking trails. Was surprised to have to pay at the front parking lot gate. I had planned to sit in the car in the parking lot and buy tickets online since they're a few dollars cheaper but pulled up and was caught off guard about paying at the parking attendant lol. Definitely worth it to check out.

A beautiful adventure I hadn't been to in years. Fair pricing, wide variety of activities for all ages and skill levels, there's movies playing, and a delightful cafe.Above all bring bug spray and or don't wear shorts. Sandals are also not a good idea.

We had lot of fun as two adults. I didn't have enough time to do everything I wanted; I would recommend going more than once if you want to see and do everything. The staff is very knowledgeable, especially in the animal encounter events. I would recommend going on a weekday if you want it to be a bit quieter- there were a lot of people there and at points it got really bothersome. The food was good! The prepackaged food was very reasonably priced (cheaper than gas station prices). For the cooked food, I paid $5 for a cup of chili and $7 for a wrap, which is about what you pay when you go somewhere like a convience store. I would recommend it- I liked the food a lot! They just didn't have a huge selection. All in all if you like nature and the Adirondacks, you should go if you're in the area. If you live in the area and you haven't gone yet, what are you waiting for?

Adorably decorated for Christmas. Wish it was open later than 8 when we went. Cute for pictures!

Interesting tree walk but it’s not that large .The museum is very basic and geared to someone who had never heard of recycling. It’s location and admission price make this not a good choice for a day trip.
