Our little supermarket is great for some items we might need in a hurry. It's great to have this available to the community outside of town. You might not find everything you need, but it will meet most of your needs. After the recent updates, the store looks clean and orderly. You may not , still, be able to find everything you've come in to buy, but for your immediate needs, you'll find them. Needed a few quick items and Save A Lot had them all. Thanks for being here for us local folk.

The produce isn't ever very good, and they don't have much of a selection for decent foods. Prices seem to have gone up tremendously

Typical Sav-a-lot but they do carry a few items that are pretty much only found in the Adirondacks. If you go by stop by and pick up some Glaziers hot dogs a North Country classic.

The average 4.1 star rating on Google is fitting. There's a great variety of food products. But the fruits and vegetables seem to be from days whole sale as a supplier opposed to being fresh. Great for reduced food as a sizeable grocery store.

This place reminds me of a spooky version of Costco. The items are limited. The store doesn’t require one to buy in bulk. Inside is not lit properly giving one a possible depressing vibe. There are some good deals; not all.

Prices are good. Produce is good with amazing buys, like pineapple for 99 cents, a few weeks ago. Staff are friendly and eager to assist. The may not carry some items, at times, that you would expect to.find, like.fresh ginger. Off brand items like cold cuts can be better than name brands.

I've liked shopping here - I don't get over here often, but when I do, I'm very satisfied. If I come in late week, I can find items from the circular much easier. & I didn't knock them down a star for that - it's just how it happens.I have always found the staff helpful !

I did not initially include a written review. I am essentially now answering the business' response by editing the review to include a written portion. The reasons for my initial 2 star review were mostly related to the strong freezer burn smell in the frozen section. There was also a lack of selection and no apparent thought to organization of the frozen section (we were looking for frozen pizza). We ended up buying the frozen pizza at the Kinney Drugstore located nextdoor.

They rushed us through the store because we apparently walked in 5 minutes before we left. I wanted to remind them they weren’t closed. We picked up 5 items quickly and were reminded within 1 minute of entering the store that they were closing by 2 different employees. The cashier left the line of customers that they rushed to lock the doors while we all just waited to get cashed out. Good thing this is the only game in town.

You're on vacation and your only responsibility is to feed 3 families. On your way back to the house, you see a Save A Lot. "Great!" you say to yourself, as it was getting late and you needed to get ingredients for dinner. As the doors open, you're greeted by an assortment of cardboard boxes, empty and, presumably, left out for decoration. Ok, produce is first. Let's make a salad, that will be quick! But wait, lettuce must not be grown here, as they don't appear to keep any in stock... That's fine. There's other food... You say to yourself as you turn toward the pickled sausage. At this point, you realize that perhaps this store would lend itself well to a simple BBQ, so you shift gears and turn the corner. You're in the meat section. Oh. My. Gosh. Hot dog heaven. They have 6 packs and 12 packs. They even have industrial 50 packs. Pork, beef, unspecified... They truly have it all. Unfortunately, you had promised the others a good meal, so you push past the dogs, on to more sophisticated options. You do a quick and fruitless scan for anything organic, then you grab one of the 3 brands of cheddar brats and pat yourself on the back. You did your best. Well, brats need rolls. You make your way past the aisle of wunderbread and... Wait. There is nothing beyond the wunderbread. So many hot dogs, but no rolls? Could it be a local thing? As you ponder this, you suddenly realize that you forgot about the vegetarians in your group. At least you remembered before you left the store. Let's grab some plant-based meat... A Beyond Burger or Quorn product or something... *Chuckles* yeah, no. Maybe some hummus? Dang... But you did find two new flavors of Sunny D (they still make Sunny D?).And so your story continues. Your grocery list, like your dreams of cooking a meal that isn't sponsored by Hormel or Tyson, lays crumpled and neglected on your car floor.The employees were nice though.

Horrible service produce manager is a joke. Make Shure u don't try to grab the bag of salad from be hind another and physically​ put there hands on u and tell u not to touch the salads because u smash them. Then argued with us about her role as a person in customer service completely understand professional. The store is a joke.

So, my son needed the bathroom while we were here. Its a "universal" one room for everyone. Pee all over the place, the sink doesn't turn off, the paper towel dispenser doesn't work... Employees use this bathroom and since you can't get paper towel to dry your hands... They then go out and handle the produce and other merchandise... No thanks!

Great prices, limited selection, mostly generic brands. Pack your own bags. Have to go to Shaheen's IGA to round out our shopping.

Great deals all through the month. May run across spoiled meat every once and a while. Reason it's four stars is bc prices are good and ppl should be checking their own meat anyway.

You can't return your cans and bottles there. If you sell the product, you have to take the returnables back. I called corporate to complain, was given a case number, and they never called back. If they don't have the man/woman power, they should put a Tomra machine in....

Eh. First time in a save a lot store. Kind of reminds me of a cheap Aldi. Had some name brand stuff, but not a ton. Will definitely shop else where if I can help it!

It is a very clean well organized grocery store. It specializes in discount goods so the selections are limited. The staff were friendly.
