A beautiful view at the top. They have proper restrooms here too (not porta potties).I highly recommend parking at the bottom and walking to the waterfall for a closer view. It beats the view at the top by a mile. You can appreciate how big the waterfall really is and feel the spray of water on your face.But the top view is great as well.

It's definitely worth a stop at the Taughannock Falls Overlook View if you are in the Ithaca area! There is a visitor center and restrooms that area open (seasonally) and an absolutely gorgeous view of Taughannock Falls from above! There is a gorge trail that you can walk closeby that gets you right close up to the falls as well!

We were passing by and pulled over to check out the overlook. If you only have a few minutes you can still enjoy this amazing view. No hiking required and there are very nice bathrooms available as well. Parking lot is easily accessible and free. Can't ask for much more if you don't have a lot of time. Highly recommend stopping by and checking it out!!

If you don’t have time to hike the gorge trail, this is an incredible alternative! Even if you did hike, I still wouldn’t miss the overlook. Absolutely loved it.

Going down to the base of the falls viewing area is nice, but the Overlook viewing area provides an entire new perspective of this beautiful, powerful and tall waterfall. Looking down at it, and seeing the people below offers a unique size reference.

Beautiful waterfalls and it’s overlook point. There is a moderate space for car parking at this point who does not want to walk in the trail but would like to see the glimpse or loon of the falls and this is the spot for you. Restrooms are well maintained and easily accessible from the road. Unfortunately there was not much of a water flow when we visited but I have been here before and that time the water flow was amazing.

What a beautiful waterfall. It's definitely worth it to go to the base and "hike" the 3/4 mile trail into the canyon. The trail is very flat and wide. Suitable for all ages.

My wife has difficulty walking. The falls were easily accessible, not far from the parking area. It was worth the effort.

Gorgeous overlook of waterfall that you can drive to. I opted for this bc it was raining so I didn’t want to hike it and it was spectacular. Worth the stop. There is a bathroom and souvenir shop there as well but they weren’t open when I was there so I can’t speak to those.

Great place for a hike with amazing views, especially when you get right up to the waterfall! It's a fair distance, and going back is uphill, so be ready, but it's definitely worth a visit!

This place is fantastic! The one big downside is if it hasn't recently rained there will be little no water on the falls. We have come here 5 times and this is the first time we have ever seen the falls in their full glory. So just know there might not be any falls at all if you come.
