We had a wonderful weekend at 16 Elm. The hotel is stunning and has lots of small touches to make you feel welcome and at home (e.g. old records and a turntable, next to an honor bar with a very nice selection of wines and liquors). We met Nicole, the manager, who couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. And you are in walking distance of several cute cafes. We loved it so much, we are bringing the family back for Memorial Day weekend and a college graduation. THE BEST!

I can’t say enough about this lovely historic home as a place to stay along Cayuga Lake. I grew up in Ithaca - and usually stay with friends - but I needed a place to stay for the impromptu trip for eclipse 2024-Every detail was thought of, comfortable and beautifully decorated spaces- and we had a fascinating evening with fellow guests. T-burg is small, and the best food is found at small markets- or restaurants in Ithaca. Regionally: The Sheldrake (and many more) winery, Seneca Falls women’s rights history- the museum of the earth- and all the Cornell and Ithaca fun. Swimming and hiking is found at Taughannock Park- what’s not to LOVE!?

My boyfriend and I were looking for a small getaway close to home for a couple of days. We wanted to explore wine country, and stumbled across this mansion during our search. The outside of the mansion is breathtaking, but the minute we walked in, we dropped our bags and were taken away by the interior. 16 Elm is not just a place to rent a room for a few nights, it holds much more than that. We enjoyed sitting in the library listening to tunes on the turntable and sipping on a night cap. The family room was a cozy place to sit and relax. And the 4 season room? It is a perfect place to take in the sun's rays while eating breakfast. My boyfriend and I are big into the history behind old houses and people. Keep an eye open for the photos of the original owners around the house. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your home. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay.

What a beautiful home and the rooms were amazing and comfortable. The bedding was as advertised, comfortable and luxurious. Loved the idea of the honor bar in the library. 16 Elm Heritage is also in walking distance to restaurants, which after a day of wine tasting we preferred to walk. The breakfast was not on par with this beautiful BnB which is why I only did 4 stars under Service. It would have been nice to have fresh pastries available. I wold definitely return to 16 Elm Heritage.

WE LOVE IT! We stayed here for our wedding night and it was fantastic! It is decorated beautifully and thoughtfully. We felt very comfortable and cozy in the big king size bed and enjoyed a soak in the tub. We loved the grab and go breakfast and very much enjoyed eating it in the sunroom. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and it is a short walk to main street in Trumansburg, close to great shops and restaurants. We can't wait to stay again!

We like to stay at B&B's when we travel. Both, my wife & I, commented that 16 Elm Heritage Hotel may be the best we have stayed at. The room (03 - Bespoke Queen) was great and the bath was beautiful and very spacious. The owners are on top of every detail (it was raining out and right by the door were a number of umbrellas........snacks, coffee, drinks always out.......cell phone chargers in many of the common the rooms.......a really cool "honor bar" room that had every thing you could want for a nightcap with only a Venmo donation requested). We will definitely be back as we have a daughter who is an athlete at Ithaca Collage.

We couldn't have been more delighted by our stay here. We stayed in the suite and everything was perfect. The bed was insanely comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous and spa-like, even in in-room coffee was upscale. The honor bar and breakfast room were both lovely touches. We spoke at length with the manager, who was so sweet and kind and showed us around. If we get to come back, I won't stay anywhere else!

I was pleasantly surprised at this impressive B&B - Historic Traditional Estate Home in great condition, very well kept, super clean and all details for hospitality were impeccable and very high quality - that is immediately apparent. Only drawback was it's not handicapped accessible, my wife was recovering from a recent ankle injury and stairs were an issue, and the shower hardware was a little tricky to work. Other than that 5-Stars from me.

The room and bathroom were both excellent, comfortable, clean, etc. However, my rating comes because this is listed as a bed AND breakfast, the "breakfast " was something I feel you'd find at a motel. Like snack crackers, cups of oatmeal, etc (not even any fruit). So for a b&b this fell greatly short of the breakfast aspect. We've stayed at many b&b and the morning breakfast with everyone is sometimes the best part. For the price we paid per a night I was expecting more breakfast wise.

The room itself it was very nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I'd be willing to overlook other minor issues, such as how the sign was missing at the entrance and the front door was so jammed that I felt like I was performing a B&E upon my arrival. However, there is some serious false advertising regarding the provided continental breakfast. Their website shows pictures of fresh baked scones, fresh fruit and bellinis. Lies! All that was available during my stay was pre-packaged oatmeal cups, yogurt and nuts. It was exactly the same as what was available when we arrived the night prior.The owner's claim that five star reviews are the lifeblood of their business, and to direct any complaints to them prior to writing anything negative. I tried that, hoping maybe there was just a mixup during my stay. Unfortunately, they could not be bothered to respond.For the rates they charge, there are much better places to stay in the Finger Lakes. Places where you'll actually receive hospitality and a real breakfast.

Lovely place! Our room was the double suite with the private bathroom. Intricately decorated with great details. Not exactly a full bed and "breakfast" -- but kitchen did provide oatmeal and granola bars and a FULL bar. Walkable to downtown Trumansburg and only 15 minutes away from Taughannock Falls. Would definitely stay again.

A gem through and through! Amazing B&B operated by the kindest, most talented innkeepers. The house is gorgeous, with every attention to detail to ensure your trip is special. Fresh baked continental breakfast, comfy beds, fluffy towels, lovely place to hang out -- the best that Trumansburg and Ithaca has to offer.(the only hard part about this review is that I have to share the best kept secret!)

Beautiful B&B. Exceptional ambiance and attention to detail with lovely antique furnishings & paintings - functional, whimsical, and well thought out - especially the reading/music & Livingroom areas - and our private bath was spa-like. Our only issue would be the Breakfast aspect of the B&B - more lowercase ‘b’ - serve yourself yoghurt - cereals etc. All top quality, but seems the full B has been dropped. Still - lovely, quiet, old world elegance in a serene setting maybe 20mins from Cornell. And the staff was so helpful, going above and beyond returning an item we left behind.

This is a grand old house, elegantly but comfortably furnished with attractive grounds. The staff was very helpful in letting us drop off our bags early in the day and placing them in our rooms. The only problem was the first night we were kept up past midnight by other guests who did not honor the 10 p.m. start of quiet time. I tried to reach a staff member, but had to leave a voice mail. Shortly afterwards (about 12:30 a.m.), someone reved a motorbike for several minutes outside our window. I don't know who that was, but I don't think it was a guest. (Two motorbikes were visible inside the open door of the garage on the grounds all weekend.) Thankfully, the second night was peaceful.Food & drinks: Glad to see some gluten-free items for breakfast.
