Went in just to look around, ended up leaving with a ball python!John and Heather were both so knowledgeable and so very kind.It was so nice to be given thorough details of how to take care of my new snake, and lots of information for the future. Was also able to pick up a starter tank with all the supplies right there.Would highly recommend checking out the shop, because you'll end up coming home with a new family member.

My 8 year old daughter wanted her own pet and decided on a bearded dragon. We wanted her to take her time to learn about them and to have an opportunity to find the best fit for her. John and Heather were so accommodating and patient with us. We visited several times and spent many hours in the shop. They shared so much knowledge with us, so when we were ready to move forward, we felt really confident with our decision. I'd recommend Avalon Exotics to anyone who is looking to acquire an exotic pet from an ethical and reputable source- with not only expertise, but the patience and willingness to share it and ensure that you have the best possible fit. My son bought his little brother his first pet snake today at Avalon. We made the trek to NT and it was well worth the trip. Facility was impeccable and animals were super healthy. Owners were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and helped us select the perfect snake (and talked us through all of the details we needed at home for enclosure set up). This is the kind of place you want to go when committing to pet ownership, they know what they’re talking about and you’re getting a healthy animal.

I went to Avalon this week to get two frogs. Now named Marty and Clyde. Lol. I spoke with the owner John because it was a first time with frogs. He spent a great deal of time educating me. John and his staff definitely goes well above and beyond. The store is absolutely immaculate. There’s selection is absolutely amazing. Once stop shop for everything. I am definitely going back again. If you’re looking for frogs or any kind of reptiles. You definitely need to check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Five stars is not enough. I give them 10.!

About a month and a half ago, I walked in looking to purchase a bearded dragon. The owner, John, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I now have four exotic animals from this place with no issues. The store is kept clean and organized. If you're looking to purchase an exotic animal, support this local business and NOT a chain-supply store. You will NOT be disappointed. They have everything you need to set up and maintain your pet's habitat - so it's the only place you'll ever need to go to for all your pet's needs. It's a great place to bring the kiddos, and this place also does birthday parties!!!

My nephew told me he found this place on google &we were super excited to go.I just left &needless to say I left happy! John &Heather are the owners &they welcomed us with open arms.They answered any questions and were extremely knowledgeable all about reptiles! They have literally EVERYTHING reptile,from snakes,different geckos,skinks,frogs,to isopods,mealworms,silkworms,butter worms,just everything all in one spot.This is now my new go-to spot for feeders &anything I need for my little family members.Thank you soo much for this experience! -Katie

We can’t say enough good things about Avalon! The owner and staff are all so kind and knowledgeable. We came in multiple times for information and advice for a beginner first time reptile owner. They answered all our questions, were extremely patient and made sure that we were prepared and ready for a purchase. They have an extensive selection of mice, rats, and bugs as well as some very beautiful reptiles. The staff and service go above and beyond and even gave me a rat for free when my card didn't work. I would give them a 6/5 if I could.

I have gone to the shop twice now. Each time to look at the selection and make a decision of a forever snake friend to bring home. The first day I went in, there were a lot of people, and the owners were showing off the snakes, explaining each one to everyone, and it’s immediately apparent that they love what they do and every reptile and amphibian that they have.The shop is clean, the enclosures are clean, and everything is so well taken care of. They are patient, kind, friendly and they don’t make you feel silly for asking questions. I will 100% be back. I’d give them 100 stars if I could.

Super helpful and friendly. I'm new to the world of lizard ownership, and they had great tips without trying to oversell me on things. They had a great variety of feeder insects which was exactly what I was looking for as a new dragon keeper. I'm looking forward to learning more from them in the future.

My boyfriend and I came here on Monday 2/19. The store is very clean and all the animals look well taken care of. The owner clearly puts time and care into his animals and he has some beautiful bioactive/naturalistic setups. Sadly we did not purchase anything here at this time but I would definitely love to come back in the future and would give him my business.

Definitely one of the better pet stores around. Very clean. The animals look healthy. Staff was actually bathing some of the exotic bearded dragons regularly while I was there. Extremely knowledgeable owners and staff. I'm talking high level degreed with real hands on experience. These people really work there butts off. Very friendly. Big selection of pets/exotics. Some really interesting bearded dragons and snakes. Very healthy looking spiders. Lots of other lizards and amphibians. Plenty of starter setup kits and supplies. Special food for the exotics. Alot of that food is very alive lol. Some of the food could be pets. It is pretty cool! It's so extensive l didn't get through it all. Parking is decent. On the big street. I hope these guys do well!

Great guys who do amazing work!! I ordered a large custom enclosure with a waterfall for my biak green tree python and it was more than I could ask for. I have fallen in love with it and it fits the aesthetic of my living room while adding tranquil vibes. There are so many different plants, vines, bamboo, wood, and moss it's beautiful; my snake looks peaceful in it. I cannot wait to order my next custom build, thank you so much!!

Where do I start. We bought 4 beautiful dart frogs & 3 morning geckos. Great staff. Very informative & well educated in all things reptiles, antibiotics & spiders. Stop going to petsmart or petco. Go here! All of of there animals are healthy & well cared for. They make there own substrate. They grow there own isopods. These guys are amazing. Need I say more?

This place is beautiful and well-kept. The owner John is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made my experience worthwhile. I didn’t even come in with the intent to buy anything (I didn’t make any purchases yet) but he was still so willing to walk me through anything. Having a local expert really makes all the difference. Excellent selection. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, they truly care about their animals. All reptiles are breed in captivity by them or known breeders. Will be back in January when the mossy frogs are back!

This is an absolutely amazing pet store. Great people who were extremely nice and knowledgeable. John answered all of my questions and helped me pick out a Russian tortoise along with an enclosure and all other necessities. I can't wait to pick her up! Highly recommend Avalon Exotics.

When I walked in, I was surprised to see the wide variety available—tons of options like reptiles, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs, and more. The owner was really cool and friendly; he knew a ton of information about his creatures and was clearly very educated about them. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for exotic pets, and I'll definitely be back!
