Gorgeous place!!!! Beautiful inside and out, lots of places to mingle as a group and the drinks were on point! Kid and dog friendly, a great place to spend the day. There was a pizza truck on the day we were there that served great pies! I was really impressed with this place!

What an adorable, dog and kid friendly brewery. First the location is BEAUTIFUL. from the building to the outdoor fire pit and picnic area, there is plenty of opportunity to find a place to relax. They offered plenty of board games and had a food truck on premise to grab a bite. We loved our time here.

First time visiting Lasting Joy Brewery and found the interior to be opulent, but also very laid back and rustic. Inside you get the feel of a luxury hotel and then you step outside and feel the countryside at your leisure. With many spaces to get comfortable whether (in or out) you'll feel welcome. To no surprise the selection of brews was well thought out and varied enough for anyone's taste. I especially enjoyed the English Beet Stout. The beet was very subtle giving it a very pleasant taste. In addition there is a selection of wines and ciders. Food is available thru various alternating food trucks/catering companies. There are other events (see website/calendar) that take place as well. Great place for young families, the kids will have fun running around outside while you relax at one of the seating areas. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The only downside was parking which was a little distance if it were raining.

What a fabulous place! An absolute must for everyone! Dog and kid-friendly. They have a large variety of delicious beers, non-alcoholic drinks also available. The staff is super friendly. The building itself is phenomenal, and it's so beautiful to sit outside in their Adirondack chairs or at a picnic table.

1.7.23 A perfect stop on a cold winter day. Firepit. Indoor or outdoor seating. Modern, open seating area bar-style, tables, couches, perfect for dates, groups big and small. We sat at bar stools and were served right away. There were families with kids and dogs. Board games available to use. Small shop area.

We visited during their opening weekend. Absolutely gorgeous interior, you feel welcomed and can easily relax with a beer and friends. The open seating layout can encourage you to meet new people sitting across/near you but you can easily keep to yourself too. Despite how many people were in there, it wasn't very loud inside, probably because of the high ceilings keeping the noise down.Their beer was solid, we had their Czech pilsner and smoked lager on tap. The smoked lager was super interesting, kind of made you think of having charcuterie, and was easy drinking. Their Czech pilsner had a nice biscuity taste that came out more with each sip. We're very excited to have some of their English Stout once that's on tap. This place is worth the trip to visit and has some gorgeous views too!

Sorry, can't give it 5 stars. I'll explain. First the good. Beautiful from the ground up facility. Just really well done, with nice indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor design is just fantastic. As it was opening weekend, beer selections were extremely limited. Their IPA was tapped out. As a result, they only had one beer available that was actually brewed on site, an ok amber. The other three were from other breweries nearby ("collaborations"). One was a stout, that was quite good. Quite pricey beer: $9 for a pint of their own, and $10 for the stout. Not even sure the glass was a full pint. And everything on the East side of the Hudson seems to cost 20% more, for some reason. No kitchen. They had a tent outside serving up expensive oysters and lobster rolls. This would be an ideal site for a food truck, but I don't know what their plans are. Bottom line - too expensive, limited selection and. Remote location. I am hopeful that they will.improve selection eventually, but price will always be a problem for me. Despite the negatives, beautiful place and worth the trip.

Pro : I enjoyed the beautiful aesthetic of this place. The place is a modernize architecture in a rural upstate NY. I went with a friend of mines & she enjoyed her flight of beer/cider.Con: me & my friend got there at 730ish on Friday night closing at 8. The bar tender took our order as the last round and provided us with the bill on the iPad & paid. At no point did the bartender ask of we were enjoying our beer or if it was first time there. she seemed annoyed that we even showed up at 730. She didn't speak to us after providing the beer, she seemed in rush to shut the place down. I wish the customer service was better. With that being said I'd go again because of the quality of the cider/beer and the ambiance was nice was but not customer service

Run (or drive at the posted speed limit) to Lasting Joy as soon as you can! This place is something special - the scenic grounds lead up to a gorgeous taproom with cathedral-like beams soaring overhead and knowledgeable beer-heads on the taps. Over several visits, we found Lasting Joy to be family and dog friendly, but plenty comfortable for groups of adults. The staff were all super nice and the selection of in-house brews and pours from other NY breweries made for a great summer mix. Lasting Joy is a genre-busting example of what a serious craft brewery can be - great beer and friendly staff housed in a beautiful setting that’s welcoming to all beer lovers.

What a great spot! Super friendly staff and the "shop dog" Goose is equally as friendly. Oh yeah, the beer. Mmm yummy. The Beet Stout is special and the Saison is fantastic. If you're in the area this is a must visit kind of place and you can bring your dog (Goose likes doggie friends).

Most beautiful brewery I’ve been to, really great place to spend the day, especially on a warm day in the shade. They had lots of seating options around the property. Big perk for us is that they’re dog friendly.Food vendor on site was pretty good and turned over the order quick despite being busy. I had a flight of 4 beers - ipa, cherry sour, saison, and Berliner Weiss - and they all somehow tasted mostly the same. Despite being very different beers, they didn’t have that distinct or exciting of a flavor, just “meh”. Not bad, just not unique in any way where I’d want to order more than one. Obviously taste is personal preference and they offer a wide variety of beers and other beverages for all tastes which I appreciate.Overall I’d recommend the brewery and think you’ll find something you enjoy in an amazing setting.

Lasting Joy Brewery is the greatest new thing to happen in the heart of the Hudson, and you can tell by the way people are flocking to the new space! I brought my friend this weekend, and we were amazed by the beautiful architecture and thoughtful design that allows everyone to enjoy a drink and talk, eat food, play games on the grass, or watch the sunset. It feels very homey and welcoming to all - kids and dogs are encouraged, so it’s very family friendly, but my friend and I came without either and felt super comfortable to just sit and hang out. As someone who’s never loved beer, I also appreciated the wide selection of other drinks available (including wine, cider, and NYC’s Stumptown coffee). My friend on the other hand loved the Hazy IPA - I even had some sips and liked it too! The merch selection is so fun as well - we bought two t-shirts (because who can resist Comfort Colors). This place is amazing and I will be bringing all of my friends up for round 2!!

Our drive into LJ Brewery was pleasant in many ways from taking in the beautiful farmlands which surround this Northern Dutchess County establishment, to just having a relaxing day with friends while partaking in a delicious adult beverage. We went on a Sunday, and they had an outside food vender which made delicious Greek food as well. Place is very dog and kid friendly. They have covered seating areas and picnic tables with corn hole for patrons to play and enjoy the day. We enjoyed the Hazy IPA the best but there are different varieties to choose from. One of my photos shows a black water cup and a purchase of a 16 ounce pour of Hazy IPA. Not sure if it really is a 16-ounce glass but sometimes different shaped glasses can be deceiving. All in all, it was an enjoyable time at LJ Brewery.

This is my happy place: terrific brews served by friendly people, in an amazingly beautiful location, in every season. Whatever food truck is there, you can be assured of delicious eats. I bring family, friends and out-of-town visitors here. Love Lasting Joy!

Great craft beer, often have live music and a food truck on site, love sitting outside on an Adirondack chair by one of their little fire pits around sunset.

Visited Lasting Joy with some girlfriends on an upstate birthday getaway in October. The grounds could not be more beautiful. The wildflower field had unexpectedly bloomed again and the golden autumn light on the dancing leaves was perfect. If you look closely, you can even see views of the Catskills across the river. There are tons of options for outdoor seating and inside is pretty cozy, too. I’m not a huge beer person, but they had plenty of options for someone like me - I tried a delicious cider and a yummy kombucha. There was also a food truck that hat we didn’t try but that smelled temptingly delicious. Hospitality is the main event at this place - you can bring it all - your kids, your dogs, your own food, your blankets, your yard games, etc. it’s all welcome!

As someone who grew up in Red Hook I am always mindful of how new businesses impact the town. After enjoying an afternoon with friends at Lasting Joy I am overjoyed to have this incredible business as part of our community. I saw the parents of friends from high school, classmates I hadn’t seen in years, families with young kids joyfully running around and was treated so kindly by the owners and staff. Have I mentioned the beer is fantastic? This place already feels like a true part of the community and I’m looking forward to visiting over and over again, both to enjoy a few hours on the property and to drop in for some to-go cans.

This is by far the most beautiful brewery with some of the best beer I have ever had. My wife and I visited your brewery for the first time over the weekend. From the pristine grounds, elegant taproom, fire pits, cozy seating and amazing staff, we will definitely be back. If you find yourself in the Hudson Valley, run, don't walk to this spot! Truly impressed!

I have come to really really love lasting joy (and live down the street so I'm here a lot). The space is wonderful, great for families and usually has a food truck, but what has really impressed me in an ever changing selection of interesting and GOOD beers. Some unique brews that aren't all funky but rooted in tradition. I think they are brewing the best beer in the area.

I would visit for the architecture alone! It's a nod to Richard Serra or so I think. I like the clever way a courtyard is composed with the corten steel walls. The indoor restaurant is dramatic too and cool materials. There's a sense of community due to families with children and the incredibly well behaved dogs! In our 2 visits so far scheduled around food vendors, we enjoyed our visits. The beer selection is varied and you can try out in 4 oz. glasses. Would enjoy a set aside adult time that stays open a bit later for a leisurely paced dinner visit. I am not sure if they already have it, but a fresh baked Bavarian pretzel would be a great snack addition
