Same as the last person who reviews this store, normally they are a decent store to shop. Clean and fully stocked. But it just the minor stuff that sometimes over shadows the hard work they put in.The milk was missed label at the refrigerator, so at the check out it was the wrong price. Instead just correct the issue, ba ba ba ba long story short, they gave a hard time to the customer on their small mistakes. Got 3 stars cause at the end they did adjusted.Bottom line, will I shop here again? Yes. Will I waste my time again to pay for the correct price? You damn I will.

Large ShopRite with loads of parking, a great bakery, loads of fresh fruit and vegetables, large hot and salad bar, all sorts of groceries, basic first aid and very helpful staff. They also have self-checkout options.Be sure to check their weekly flyer (also available on their website as they have some great offers every week)The bakery has bagels, cupcakes, pastries, cakes including ice cream cakes.

This one just has a bad smell in the back of the store.Update - when I go in now, it no longer has the bad smell. The employees are very friendly, and helpful. It is a good place to shop. It is my families go to grocery store.

Shopping at thornwood shoprite 32 years..it has become unbearable..blocked aisles nothing unpacked. Employees with friends talking while I'm having to reach over and around the conversing couple. Never consistent stock of regular items..etc..management needs to monitor the place. Will consider staying with shoprite but may needcto go to Elmsford or bedford..not your happy shopper

Typically a decent grocery store. Today, the hours said open till midnight. Same thing printed on the storefront (two days before Thanksgiving). However, the front door was barricaded and locked at 10:30 pm. A few straggler customers were still shopping inside. Must've had some kind of staffing issue. Disappointed

FYI store closes a few minutes earlier than listed. Last visit staff had to manually let me out at 11:40, tonight doors were already locked at 11:45 and lights were off a few minutes later.Not docking them points for that just think people should be aware

Worst bakery ever. Come here to get bagels they are always stale as well as not having any everything bagels, etc at 2 pm in the afternoon

Been going to this ShopRite for years, I don’t know if they changed their butcher, but lately after buying the chicken breasts, and their spare ribs I have to throw it out due to a foul odor eliminating from it after I open up the package.

Our go to grocery shopping place since it opened in 1987. User friendly and convenient. Parking is good, but watch out for jerks that leave their cart by their car when they're done packing. The parking lot has a downhill slope and the carts can start rolling if windy. Got a huge dent in my car from a cart smashing into the side of my car. It was 5 years ago, and I am still mad at the person who thoughtlessly left the cart behind vs. returning it to a proper place.

This place is immaculate, I love it when the food store I am shopping at is extra clean and just makes for an overall better experience. Plus the staff is really nice and helpful.

I've been shopping at this store since it opened in 1987, after it was renovated lt was the best, now it's going downhill. Less service, cutting down on employees, hard to get waited on at the deli dept

During my free time I do instacart shopping. One of my orders happened to be here as I was passing through and it included the purchase of beer. I’m instances like this there is a protocol in place where I show the cashier the customers ID instead of MINE as it’s their purchase. I’ve done this process countless times at several shop rites but for some reason the manager BRIAN had his own protocol and agenda in place. He refused to let me do my job the way I always do it without presenting my ID and just making an already hard job harder than it needed to be. He was stern rude and didn’t care at all how he inconvenienced me. I felt embarrassed. I asked for his store managers contact and he declined. I never come to thornwood and I never will again. I don’t get a good feeling about it

This Shoprite is good as far as groceries. The parking lot is a bit tough to navigate safely.My big problem with this store is that all cashiers (except one) refuse to help me bag my items. They stand there staring into the ceiling. Or they….very slowly….scan items hoping that I’m finished bagging by the time they scan the last item. Other times they fidget around pretending to be busy. The managers don’t enforce customer service. Once, I got yelled at by another rude shopper because I was taking too long to bag my items. I told them that ever since NY state made us bring our own bags the checkout employees refuse to help with bagging. A manager came over while I was getting yelled at. Did the register person or the manager help me with bagging or with the rude shopper? NO. When I go to Acme or Wegmans the people at the register help with bagging or they at least offer to help. Not this Shoprite. 👎

This is my go to market in the town next door. They always have a fresh and tasty bakery on site. Fresh produce and meats with a delicious sushi bar to boot!I would recommend downloading the express order app to help save time while your shopping.The employees work really hard to keep everything stocked and clean.I gave four stars because I wish there were a map of the store available on the app to facilitate my shopping experience but regardless, I think the store is great!

Very solid neighborhood grocery. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are good if you have a price plus card and know how to shop. Clean, well-stacked and smooth checkouts, unless you go during the busiest times.... don't do that.

Huge Deli counter is a big plus, but there are precious few store employees around to help you find something. Also, too often the Express check out lanes are closed. Maybe they're having problems hiring people.

Most of the time lot of items(for example chicken, different veggies) aren't available. I was blaming this whole supply chain issue, then I drive to the shoprite in white plains or other supermarket and I am able to get almost everything I need. Do not recommend this place for produce for supply issue

This is a great, well stocked grocery store. Lots and lots of food options for every conceivable food issue, allergy, lifestyle, diet, etc. Nice balance of grocery goods and prepared items. Some of the folks who work there are fabulous but some don't seem interested in their jobs.

Prices are sometimes halfway decent but always overcrowded and a parking lot that's a mess. Worst of all, staff always looks dirty, and have seen multiple cashiers cough and sneeze in their palms and touch food. Step your game up. You're disgusting.

Great grocery store! Prices are very competitive and depending on what season it is, there’s a delicious potpourri of smells walking in. Sometimes the lack of people working the checkout counters can be peeving, but it is what it is. Sushi is stellar here, make sure to say hi to Andy there!

Watch prices as prices listed on shelves are not accurate an when you go to checkout price is much higher…..manager told me to read ounces and didn’t fix shelf price

Happened to run into an employee who was my high school classmate and friend Matthew Diaz when he was collecting shopping carts and bringing them back to the store. Three things to describe him are awesome, very funny, and a nice person. Don't be shy or afraid to greet him when you see him outside at the parking lot collecting your carts when you are done with them or when you pass him. He is one of the funniest guys I happen to run into because it's been five years since I last seen him. He is very nice! He made my day by surprising me when I gave the shopping cart to him because I had no idea it was him and I was already having a bad day at CVS when it was such an embarrassment that I got denied checking out my items for free using a $5 coupon and CVS did not let me schedule an appointment for flu shot in person. So after finishing shop rite and was about to give the cart to employee, I was in for a big surprise. I hope they keep Matthew Diaz's job position by just collecting carts when customers are done because who knows how many classmates he will surprise from his school and reunite with him.
