I had to pick up some heavy duty drain opener to deal with a nasty clog. The product I got had warning signs around it making sure shoppers were aware that it contained sulfuric acid and could be very dangerous. When I was checking out the cashier (David) made it a point to tell me about how great the product was and shared some safety tips. I don’t usually post reviews but the store’s focus on customer safety and employee’s knowledge of the product truly impressed me.

Great hardware store with almost all of the basics you need and friendly staff to help.For me conveniently located, and I can avoid going to a big box store I'd rather not support.

My rating is not based on price. They are more expensive than the big box stores, and they don't have the same inventory. However, you are greeted when you enter. There are plenty of people around who are more than happy to help you find something. The employees I've encountered have been very knowledgeable, and if they don't know they find someone who does.They have a rewards program that doesn't require you to carry a card, and they send coupons, and a gift on your birthday.The store has a real small town hardware store feel to it.Highly recommend.

Always helpful staff at Valu. They don't always have what the bigger hardware stores have but most of the time I can find what I'm looking for right here. I love being able to walk in and I'm always greeted by someone who knows exactly what I'm looking for and escorts me to the correct aisle. You don't get that kind of service at the big hardware stores!

While this place is very convenient, you will pay for the cost of convenience… A 5 minute drive down the road to Home Depot will save you quite a few dollars.

Really fair prices and great quality. The young men working are very kind, and helpful. Nice to see young kids working that don't act like asking questions is an inconvenience to them! Definitely recommending to our friends and family.

Excellent service today. I called for curbside pick up. Staff searched the store for what I needed. All the products met my expectations. I payed over the phone. When I arrived, they brought my package out to the car quickly and I was on my way. Much faster than ordering online and waiting a week for same items.

I decided to go to Valu Home Centers as oppose to the bigger stores because I didn't want to walk mega aisles to find a common product. Needless to say as soon as I walked in a helpful employee directed me to the product which was a few aisles away. He also told me about the different products they carry and which would work best for my needs. Totally satisfied and being a senior it's always nice when people go an extra mile!

Picked up a gazebo that we ordered online and we received a speedy carryout and hardware assistance with deck screws and washers - all from the same gentleman who was very helpful! Drove 90 minutes since we dont have a VALU near us. Very pleased!

Good store. Cashier was as friendly as a slug. Zero customer service. On cell phone when another customer came up after to cash out. I usually don't give bad reviews but I suspect this guy will move on. Hopefully.

The store manager Rob and Dylan in paint were so helpful. We were trying to get a particular color drylock paint and they mixed until it was just right. It was for a small pool in a garden. Really appreciate their time and help. I had to go back for a couple more items and Dylan took care of helping me find what we needed

Not impressed with Customer Service today. Cashier was short to me while I was speaking..interrupted me before I had a chance to finish my sentence regarding some screws I was purchasing...should have walked right out...acted very condescending towards me...if he does not like his job he should go somewhere else. I do not plan to return to this store anytime soon and if this employee happens to be in the store should I ever return for something quick...either he best not be my cashier or I will just turn around and walk out and go to Home Depot or Lowe's

I love this location its always well stocked and organized. The staff are always willing to help you find what you're looking for or the tools needed to complete whatever task you're trying to tackle that day. It's very clean and the staff is friendly...you won't find the "it's not my job or my department" attitude here...oh no...these folks are serious when it comes to taking care of their customers.

The employees are generally friendly and they greet you when you enter and often ask if you need any help. If you catch it right they have sales on some of the popular items. They do have ads if you get the paper and you can find copies in store. I like their $10.00 off select orders coupons.

When in mattydale or north syracuse this is one of your better options that are near you. As a realtor and landlord time is always of the essence. This bests getting lost in a huge box store. They have everything you need and the best prices. The store is always clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly reccomend this vs the bigger brands.
