Great for contractors. Only so, so for customers. I had to cut my own wood and find my own electrical replacement outlets. No employee there would help. Not enough employees at this store. Contractors are paid a lot more attention to. Customers that are DYers suffer. Tool selection is great. Unfortunately, Lowes in Cicero was much more customer oriented, so my wife goes there now. I still go to Home Depot because they have a lot of what I need. And if you want to renovate your home with a new kitchen, THEN this Home Depot is VERY user friendly. I spent over 25 grand for our in home upgrades and the contractor was very professional, but spoke little English.He tried to restrict where I could walk in my own house with a see through tarp. But I took it down and he didn't say a damned thing. I'm not a small man at 6.11. But I said that I WILL check on his work whenever I pleased. He said nothing and went back to work. That he spoke very little English helped him and hod comrades. Price was very reasonable. I have had to repair the hinges on the cheaply built cabinets, though. Darned Chinese piss poor quality. Still worth the 20+ grand because the flooring and free extras are excellent. Still lime American made products. Curse Richard Nixon for opening the door to China and for taking us off of the Gold standard for our money. Still shop at HD though. A lot of great stuff here

We had a wonderful experience a couple weeks ago. We came into the store to buy items for a painting project. We weren't sure exactly what to buy and we had quite a few questions. Joe B in paint helped us immensely. He was courteous, kind, and funny! He was full of knowledge and we really really appreciate all the advice! Our next project, we'll be in to talk to Joe again! Thank you Joe for your wonderful customer service!!

Really long wait to get the wood cut. The cutting guy left after cutting wood for someone else and I had to wait another 15 minutes. The cuts were off by 1/2-1” which is problematic when building. Wood was quite wet other than the top boards. The Clay Home Depot is much better.

Just made a return to store and initially gave customer service rep cash for a transaction, however, when I came back to make a return a rep decided to give me store credit . Didn’t touch item because they were late delivering the item. Literally told me I used a gift card and I didn’t use a gift card. Apparently, the store clerk decided to put my cash on a gift card to order the item. I told them I didn’t authorize her to do that so why should I be inconvenienced with store credit. The worst experience I’ve ever experienced there.

Plenty of parking. They are most always helpful. When customers walk around looking lost someone in orange usually asks how they can help. This trip was no exception. I needed some Oops paint for a small craft project. Mr. PAINT walked me to the oops section but, All Sold Out. I'll just wait a few days. Can't win every time. It's all good!

I was confused with the store layout being almost opposite what we are accustomed to and the staff giving opposing information to each other. The tile department pales in comparison to other locations. I did find what I wanted and it did work out.

Customer service. No customer service in millwork. Employee at the desk was too in deep with his personal cellphone call to assist me with a door. Cashier at pro register was very short and hates her job.

Receiving is always patient and organized when I make deliveries here. Nothing in life is perfect but with the volume of trucks they get, a 5 star rating is definitely more than appropriate.

The tool rental department at the East Syracuse location in my opinion has the worst customer service ever experienced. The cleaning charge on earthmoving equipment is a scam even if you bring back the unit in better condition than one taken. Management here ranks right up there with a customer service experience rude arrogant over priced and looking for any way to charge you more don’t do business with them if you can avoid it. The picture is listed below prove how do you know it was your turn they still want to charge me a $200 cleaning fee ridiculous

After not receiving part of my expedited delivery yesterday and speaking to several people, the DeWitt store manager Adam, went above and beyond and personally brought the missing items to my house in his personal vehicle. I'm blown away with that level of customer service.

I will never patronize this store again. When they delivered a newly purchased washing machine, the overly aggressive delivery team gave me excuse, excuse after excuse, why they could not hook it up. I will add that they entered with no tools. Not even a wrench to attach the hoses. So, they had no intention of hooking it up to begin with. They dropped the new washer in the middle of my basement and left. Though, not before insulting and belittling me. The comments made were, "Don't you have a son, or a boyfriend, or a nephew that can do this for you?" Well, I ended up hooking it up myself, through sure will and determination. I am 58 years old. What if I had been 68? 78? Or infirm? It was so bad and rude and, in my opinion, despicable. Shame on you, Home Depot. Take your business elsewhere.

I find Home Depot to be better organized than Lowe's. This location is no exception. Staff was not very helpful, they did not seem to have the knowledge when I was asking them questions. If you know what you want, great! But, don't rely on the staff for help, do your own research ahead of time.

I had an extremely frustrating experience after purchasing a washing machine from Home Depot. The delivery was the biggest problem. The company is frankly incompetent. Their communication is terrible, and on several occasions they changed the delivery date with little explanation. (In one case, the machine did not "make it" onto the truck.) When the machine was delivered, they refused to bring it downstairs saying it would not fit. (It does fit, as I had the same machine installed by Lowes, after cancelling my order with Home Depot). Now I am waiting for them to pick up a (smaller) machine that I ordered but that does not work. Again, they did not call me to let me know when they are showing up. Just an overall terrible experience. I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot.

Since the holidays, the employees have improved their helpfulness. I had 3 people in a 20min store visit asked if I needed any help. I didn’t on this visit, but it was much appreciated.

Couldn’t find an employee to unlock a saw for us in the morning, so we came back in the evening to try again. We found an employee who called someone who was supposed to come out and help us, but after 5 minutes of waiting, we just gave up and left again sawless. We’re just going to buy it from the website instead.
