Cute cats! Peaceful and chill atmosphere. Cafe is separate from the cat room by a set of double doors, so the kitties don't get out (but they try!) There are a few simple rules to understand for cat safety. I went mid-afternoon on a weekday and was the only visitor. Cafe has tons of options. LGBT+ friendly. Go to their site and book in advance or see what special events they have coming up!Parking: Slightly hard to find, off from Park St. Located around the back of CNY Regional market.

I bring my son here because he has a special love for cats. It started as surprise visit over a year ago and turned into the thing he requests as reward for good grades and completed school projects. The cats are obviously well cared for and happy. When we are ready to adopt again this will be our spot but until then we enjoy coming to visit the cats and play for a while.Kid-friendliness: My child is 10 and wasn’t treated any differently than I was.

My daughter and I absolutely loved playing with the cats. I had never heard of the concept of having a cafe and getting to play with all the adoptable cats and kittens. It’s a wonderful addition to the community. As the cats get adopted new ones come in it’s a great partnership between the shelters and Pawsitivity cafe. I also need to add the drinks we had at the cafe were delicious. This place truly inspired me I would love to open a cafe like this.

I didn't have any of the food due to my disability causing food aversions. The cat lounge was purrfect and the staff were very helpful and kind. This was my first time visiting the Pawsitivitea CNY Cat Cafe and Lounge. Went for knitting club. There were 15 cats and kittens and plenty of places to sit. A small drink of my choice from the menu was included with the purchase of my visit. I got a hot chai latte that was delicious. I was able to take it into the cat lounge with me (food must be eaten in the cafe area). A variety of delicious looking baked good were also available for purchase. My friend came with me and, after listening to the guidelines (wear socks, don’t pick up the cats but if they come and sit on your lap, that’s fine), we took our shoes off and entered the cat lounge through a set of doors. We were immediately greeted by several kitties and many others came to lay next to us or on our laps on the couch while we chatted and knitted for the next two hours. The cafe and lounge are clean and well maintained. The owner is super awesome, happy to answer all of our questions about the cats and she checked on the cats while we were there. My friend and I were both very happy with our visit and look forward to returning.

It’s always great to support people who are positive (sorry, pawsitive) and provide an important service to the community. And what better way to find a little calm in today's world but to chill in a roomful of cute kitties!There’s always a nice selection of coffee, tea and goodies and many themed events if you like games, yoga, movies, etc. Highly recommend!

My daughter is a huge cat person and loved every minute. I am a "so-so" cat person and overall it was a great experience. Slight cat smell, but didn't notice it after being there for a while. Could have been way worse, and considering there was 16+ cats, and two litter boxes (that I could see) it surpassed my expectations. Staff was amazing and the painting event was so much fun.

This cat cafe was all the pet therapy my group could have asked for! When we arrived for our reserved hour, the cats seemed to be in nap time, but were very happy to have the attention we gave them. All of the cats were very friendly and well behaved and seemed to respond well to all ages. The staff was also very nice and made some awesome hot beverages. They even have a gluten free scone and vegan goodies from Fat Cats (but nothing both vegan AND gluten free, at least when I was there). Overall a lovely experience on a gray day while traveling in the area for work.

This place is the perfect example of what a cat café should be like! Set rules explaining how to approach and interact with the cats, large and delicious food and drink menu, affordable, cute crafts, LGBT+ and minority friendly, and a HUGE room for the cats to roam with NO cages!My boyfriend and I went during the weekday special and fell in love with a cat in particular who we are now trying to adopt and will continue to visit to spend quality, relaxing time with these beautiful furry friends

My tween and I had a wonderful time visiting all the cats. It was so calm and relaxing in the cat room and we really enjoyed our time there. We enjoyed several of the beverages on the menu and had some yummy treats on our way out. We are really looking forward to doing a paint night soon!

This cat haven deserves nothing less than 5 stars! The establishment is impeccably maintained, and the ever-present staff ensures the cats are well taken care of. On top of that, their merchandise selection is great! While it might not be the go-to spot for deep conversations, it’s an absolute gem for a breezy, lighthearted meetup. Highly recommended!

Really blew my expectations out of the water. Came along with a friend looking for an adoptable cat and this was by far the easiest and least stressful of any place we visited.Book an appointment online for a small fee, and the room of wonderful cats becomes available to you. Every kitty is well-fed and cared for here, and aside from shy personalities you can tell they’re comfortable. Not there for adoption myself, it was fun and relaxing hanging out with the cats. Lots of seating and cat toys.The owner is compassionate and helpful, and keeps Instagram updated with new adoptable cats and upcoming events.If you enjoy hanging out with animals- And sipping tasty cafe drinks- This is a must-visit.

Five stars ALL AROUND! Me and my boyfriend went (we did reserve an hour time slot) and it was AMAZING! The owner (i believe) was there and they were so friendly and welcoming. They explained to us what to do and how to care for the kitties while in their space. The cats had a nice area to roam in and looked so well taken care of. They were so interested and gave lots of kisses on your hands (the littles even did some nibbling) It was so peaceful that i honestly couldve fallen asleep to the cat’s purring asmr! We got a Vanilla chai and a cinnamon roll and both were *chefs kiss*. I never liked chai but this was the best one Ive ever drank and i’d happily drink again especially seeing the cats. I have been looking for a ESA and may look into adopting one of those lovely cats for my own *crossing fingers*.

I came in for a private birthday booking a few months after opening. I was so impressed I asked became a community volunteer! I help with the lounge and teach the yoga classes! The lounge is huge, food is always changing and always great! The owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met. More love and acceptance flows from this business than I have ever seen. Consider a visit yourself. Reviews don't do justice to the true good work that the owner is doing for the animals and the good people of our community. Support rescues and the ripple effect that kindness and love bring to the community. :) Keep up the good work!! You are the light to so many!

This is the purrfect place! 😸 We were first greeted by the friendly staff who quickly took our order and explained the rules for visiting the kitties. The treats we order were scrumptious and the tea was delightful. Then on to visit the sweet and friendly kitties. What a treat! So fun to interact with these fuzzy guys! A great place to be present, relaxed and mindful. My daughter was feeling overwhelmed that afternoon with her course work at collge. After some time with the furry friends she felt relaxed, calm and recharged! Highly recommend! Go to their website to make a reservation for your visit!

Such a great business. Lovely organizes environment. The treats and drinks were super delicious - even have bunch of vegan options. The cat room was immaculately clean. No scent of cat at all and you don’t leave covered in cat hair. I highly recommend going but make a reservation for cat time beforehand just to make sure you are able to play with them.

Pawsitivitea Cat Cafe was a wonderful experience! Wonderful people working there, and a great selection of treats and drinks. The cats were super friendly, and there was even a book with all of their bios and pictures (super helpful for identifying the cats). It was a great setting to meet the kitties and spend an hour relaxing.

My visit was great! Greeted immediately upon entering, was patient with interpreting communication, environment was clean, peaceful and cute! Kitties were the best. Smokey was super affectionate. Loved the binder with all their likes/dislikes and background information. Many beds, toys and nooks for the cats; definitely well taken care of. Def will be back again and will try the food/drinks!

OK, I don't like cats. But my daughter does. Fortunately, the cat area is secured and separated so I nor my allergies are molested by feline fiends. Daughter got 30 minutes in the cat room (see pic) for $6.50. Normally they do it by the hour, but half-hours are kind of ad hoc, if there's space, type of thing.So she had fun playing and lounging and being generally a cat person, while I sipped my decaf with unsweet vanilla almond milk and my maple pecan muffin at a small table in one of the quirkiest foyers you'll ever see, the walls - every available square centimeter, covered with posters and colorful objets d'art and neat little crafts and tchotchkes, many of which are for sale. Owner was super friendly, and place, while tiny and a bit cramped, had a great vibe.Good coffee and baked goods selection - the owner makes all the stuff herself. Very inclusive, safe-space, kitties and rainbows, Berkeley feel. Prices not too bad. Feel bad for the owner having to be in such a meh location... can't imagine it gets a lot of foot traffic when the public market isn't happening, but hunt it down. Even if you're not a cat person.

We absolutely love this place! Being able to spend a hour with cats of all ages and sizes is absolutely amazing. All the cats are so sweet, unique and friendly. I believe that is due to the care and kindness of the staff and the foster families. Thank you so much for the amazing experience, we are adopting a cat from Pawsitivitea due to the option of getting to sit down, socialize and get to know our soon to be new family member. This place is so special, we just love it. Coffee is good, people are so friendly and the cats are so sweet and the art is amazing. A must visit every time we are in Syracuse.
