My experience with Ehrlich in the Camillus, NY area started out Rocky, but once Josh Hooper was assigned to my house as the tech it turned around. Josh is so professional, very thorough, he listens intently to everything I have ever had a concern about and even just follows up with me to make sure everything is still going well.Josh is the reason I’m still with this company. If you have a chance to work with him as the tech that completes your services, you will NOT be disappointed. I cannot say enough good things about him. I appreciate so much when he calls to let me know he’s 15-20 minutes away so I can walk my dog quick and he always tells me/explains what he did and why and if I’m not home when he performs a service, my Husband signs and Josh calls me to tell me everything he did and to ask if I have questions.We are very pleased with Josh and look forward to his visits always. He’s an excellent representation of good, quality, customer service.

This has been a nightmare dealing with them. In the spring of 2023 they came to spray the house for spiders, stink, bugs, ants. A month later, the spiders and stink bugs were inside and outside of the house again and kept getting worse, so I called in August and the woman said she would send someone out to take care of it Free of charge. In September I was billed for this visit. I called approximately six times and was told every time a manager would call. They never did. Eventually, I disputed with a credit card company and received a notice that they would be sending it to collections. I called again and they said they would not do that until the manager called. It is now April 2024 and I’ve still never heard from management and received a notice It’s going to collection within a few days. What a horrible way to do business.

Mr. DeMaria, the Ehrlich technician who visited us today, did a thorough job of explaining the Ehrlich services that I currently have and the services that would be available to me if I should choose to contract them. He was very personable and engaging, and I very much enjoyed his visit with us.

The technician was very knowledgeable and was patient and took their time to answer my questions. He did a very thorough job - checking out each room in the house in addition to the basement. He took the timer to show me their life stages and pointing out each one in the house. It truly was an eye-opening experience.Having said all of that, there is not much to add. I don't have a problem with this particular location - the problem is with their accounts receivable department and scheduling. They send statements that are missing months so it looks like you didn't pay your invoice, when - in fact -- they didn't apply the payment to the correct invoice (each invoice has your customer number and and invoice number on it). My husband called to schedule our regular maintenance and they would not schedule him until he paid the current month and the following month (current month not due yet!) This is not the first time we've had issues.We had to have techs come back and re-do a carpenter ant treatment because they didn't do it right the first time -- and we told the tech what and where it was most needed. We've had service techs that make you feel like they are examining your house to break in later! and asking questions about personal items in the home. We've contracted with Ehrlich for over 22 years and have had nothing but issues. Now that we are in an area with other options, we are going to investigate. My experience with them was great. They responded very quickly to my inquiry and were able to send someone out the next day. David was very knowledgeable and did a thorough inspection to make sure there wasn’t a termite issue. Not only did he do that, but he also helped me with a mouse in my shed by disposing of some lawn seed it had ripped open, helping me put out a old leaf bag, and putting down traps in the shed- all of which was way outside of what he came there to do and I appreciated it more than he could know. I would definitely recommend them for pest control.Service: Termite inspection

He guided me through the house and broke down the areas that could be troublesome and gave great guidance and assurance that it would be taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. I would recommend David for anyone looking for pest control. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my experience as a customer and created a great rapport. Looking forward to using this company as my go to pest management service.

Over the weekend, I found a bat in my condo. On Saturday, my mom called Ehrlich to see if they could come out and do an inspection. They told her that someone may be able to come out today. I give them a call myself to give them my info and they told me someone would give me a call in 24-48 hours. On Monday, I hadn’t heard anything so I called to check in. I was informed that they meant 24-48 business hours (why not just say 1-2 business days?), but someone would most likely call me by Tuesday.Tuesday at 6PM, I still hadn’t received a call so I call them again. A sales rep answers the phone and says she would make a note in my file that I’m waiting on a call back. She says I should be called before 9 PM. No one calls me on Tuesday.I call Wednesday morning and am informed there is no record of me calling. Because this has been a nightmare, they put my service request as a emergency and told me someone would call me shortly when they are on their way.4:30 PM rolls around and I’ve gotten no calls. I call again and am informed that because I’m not a customer yet, they can’t even put my request as an emergency. Yet again, I’m lost in their system. I’m offered an appointment for next Wednesday. I explain that I’ve been dealing with this for five days now and cannot wait another 7. The rep on the phone personally reaches out to Dave, the provider in my area so he can give me a call. I was very grateful she tried to make it right.Dave calls me right away and let’s me know the company doesn’t have resources to do bat inspections where I’m located. He apologized for the confusion and gave me another company to use.So after 5 days in a hotel, I’m back in my condo since we still can’t find the bat and have no idea where it got in from. I called Ehrlich 5 times, each time giving my zip code, only to find out that don’t offer the services I need where I live. The reason I chose this company, was that they were the only ones I could find to come to my area.I’m extremely unhappy with how this situation was handled and the lack of communication at the company. Everyone I spoke to was very kind, but at the end of the day, I should have just been informed they can’t service my area. Everything else I’ve experienced was unnecessary.

The secretary was polite and courteous in setting up the appointment for inspection. David, the inspector, called shortly before he was to arrive and was on time. He listened carefully to my concerns and generously entertained and answered my questions. He was clearly knowledgeable, but not pushy about selling Ehrlich's services. I thought I had a bird trapped in my chimney but I did not. David from Erhlich was right on time, called ahead to let me know when he would be there, put shoe protectors on, handed me his card before he came in the house. He took time and care and searched the chimney, took photos to show me what was going on, and did not charge me for the call out. He was professional and very informative. Great experience and I would recommend Erhlich.

Couldn’t be happier with this service. They came, assessed the problem, took steps and very quickly the rodent problem was taken care of and we haven’t seen anything since. They do a check-in 3 times a year with the service and fill traps, check for infestation, etc. and we have had no more issues.Services: Rodent extermination, Termite inspection, General pest inspection

Had a service scheduled in addition to our routine service we get quarterly and they never showed for the appointment. Called and asked for a call from manager and no call. Not sure what changed within the company but this is unacceptable. Time to look for new exterminator for routine maintenance..Services: General pest inspection, Bug & insect extermination

If I could give negative stars I would. I had a confirmed appointment with this company and no one showed up and no one called to explain what happened. Even the next day no-one bothered to call so I cancelled my services. Then 30 days after services were cancelled I was billed for a maintenance fee and told that it will take 4 to 6 weeks for my refund. Do not waste your time!!!!

I love my Ehrlich Syracuse representative Bria she is extremely thorough and makes everything easy for me. I have the year round service and love how I can just call and they come as soon as possible. My only suggestion would be to have the local office get the phone calls instead of their call center.I have cancelled my year round service. UPDATE REVIEW This is an edit review. After several years of service the rep I now have is a liar. He said he serviced my home and he never showed. I tried to give a second chance after speaking with manager. They never showed for that appointment. Terrible service company has gone down hill bad. Another neighbor had exact same issue. Going with a new and better company now

Have used Ehrlich for two years now and have no complaints. They are upfront and do what they say they are going to do. They have rid us of bees, wasps, mice and spiders. They also check on you regularly for any problems. See my previous posting which has now changed. I'm very pleased with Ehrlich. both David and Alan have been very helpful and am glad I am using them again. They have been very reliable. Previously I said: I had good service for a long time, but then I lost my technician and it has been horrible ever since. The last 3 appointments were no shows. I've learned to call each time only to learn they have me in the schedule but no one is set to come, or today I had the technician schedule the appointment only to find out it also wasn't in the schedule and that he was at another job all day. This company does not care about clients and does not keep appointments. They do not perform the tasks you ask them to. Show up whenever they want. Dont call back when you choose that option on phone. Household was a part of the monthly plan and they have not been to property in months. When this issue is brought up representatives claim that techs have. Have camera on property and there has not been a company vehicle other than the one tech who came out after I called to complain. This tech also showed up an hour early. I had scheduled the appointment so that I could be home as we had an issue inside with ants in attic crawl space. Tech showed up as girlfriend was leaving and explained situation to him and he said that well he was here now. She had to leave for work and no adult would be present to access inside. Had the tech shown up on time no problem would have occurred. But nothing was done to rectify the situation and the problem inside was never addressed.Upon calling to cancel today the rep was rude and unprofessional and did not offer an apology for poor service. Terrible company would not recommend to anyone.

Our 1 year contract started out okay with an initial spraying for flies and wasps. But we got a mouse infestation the week before Halloween. They failed to show for the first appointment on a Friday from 3-6pm. When they didn’t show that night, the office was already closed. We called Sat morning and they found someone who came Sat afternoon. This was the last tech we ever saw. He was supposed to show for follow-up a week later and never showed. We called to complain about a lack of responsiveness, we were told a manager would call us, and we made another appointment for Fri 3-6pm. This was also a no-show - evidently their employees like to blow off Friday appointments? We called to complain again about a third missed appointment and no manager’s call, and rescheduled for the next Mon from 4-6pm. AGAIN, no one showed. Complete breach of contract, and we still have a mouse problem that we are fighting on our own. DON’T waste your time with this excuse for a service company

Met with an Erlich sales representative for a residential pest issue. Agreed to service and the pest365 plan. Later the same evening, I saw the reviews for the company alleging fraudulent charges after cancellation, pest control teams not showing up for jobs, and inability to contact anyone from the company to address concerns. After reading these reviews, I decided to cancel the service (the day after meeting the sales rep). No services had yet to be performed. I sent two emails to the sales rep to cancel. Later in the day, the rep called me asking when was a good time to deliver a product I had ordered. The rep stated the emails he received from me were blank—I’ve never before had that issue. At this point, it sounds a bit suspicious given the reviews I had read. I reinforced that I was terminating the agreement and cancelling all service. A few days later I noticed a charge on my credit card from JC Erlich. When I called to get the money refunded, the rep told me it would be refunded by the end of the day. I expressed my appreciation and though this would be the end of it. Later the same day, a local rep called inquiring about the refund I had requested and told me it would take a month to process. A month? To process a refund for a fraudulent charge that should have never been removed from my account to begin with? Unacceptable. A little while later, I received a call from yet another representative with Erlich about the refund. I still have yet to see a credit in my account. The same day, someone showed up at my home to perform the services—this was a day after it was originally scheduled to occur and also several days after cancelling. They told us they didn’t show up the day before due to a personal issue. Besides the fact that the service was cancelled and no one should have shown up period—this person showed up a day late to the job with no prior communication! Needless to say, we turned them away as we had previously cancelled. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! If you do happen to fall into their trap, make sure you monitor your financial institutions closely!
