I love going to Petco. The entire staff is friendly and I am able to find things quickly.I like the variety of toys and food and the grooming service is always awesome. My dog loves meeting everyone there and exploring the store. I sometimes even do aisle training so he is okay with narrow spaces and gets better with his focus and direction.And the best part are the rewards!!!

I went to the store to return a cage, almost 150 pound, is too heavy, and because I forgot to bring my wallet, to get return fee, a female cashier（I know the cashier’s name)didn’t let me to kept the cage in store for a while, so I need to take the cage back again, no tolerant, no human touch at all! Additionally, I want to say, I went to many Petco stores around my life, and I can see many staffs have bad attitude when they serve to costumers. I mean as a service worker, you can’t put your temper and emotion into your work. Besides, I know there’s many racist in America, but why Petco hire racist? I guess the executives don’t know about it. I mean we can’t find out a person, he or she must be a racist, but we can according their words and deeds to judge. Fine, long story. But I still suggest that the company raises the standards for recruiting employees. For Example, see their credibility in other store or company. A little opinion.And also one things I want to say, this Petco store doesn’t have place to sell dogs, not dog’s commodity. Or is my problem I didn’t see dogs. Ok, I think that’s all my comments for Petco.

This store is a little outdated. The staff don't ask if you need help if you see any around. It's nearly impossible to find someone to help you. I was there recently and everything is all over the place. I assume that they are closing this location for the new one opening on south oyster bay rd in Plainview. Let's hope the new place will be under new management and work on a staff that will make it a good store. Ive worked in the pet trade for over 2 decades. So I am very familiar with both retail and corporate parts of the trade.

I prefer ma and Pa's shops but we don't have any in town. The store is always spotless, the staff is quite knowledgeable and very eager to help. And of course, being pet friendly it's always a treat for my pups.

Rude, unprofessional, discriminating. I had a very unpleasant experience at this Petco moments ago. We went there to purchase some fish for our tank. Asked a lady in the store to help us get some fish. She said we had to bring a sample of water to test before they could sell us the fish, Cause they are very fragile and might die if the water is not right. I believed her at that moment, and she really discouraged us from buying those fish in the tank. Then I overheard her talking loud to another person that we lied to her that our tank is set up.????? Excuse me??? How on earth you came to the conclusion that our tank was not set up? I felt so angry and discriminated in buying a fish! I also only started questioning her saying we had to provide water sample in order to buy. I Phoned the online service center and they said they never had this requirement. I had my fish tank set up this morning before I came to this store to purchase, all her actions are making me sick and so angry and sad. I need an apology from her. I hope Petco makes sure customers Feel respected and welcome there and this kind of thing never happen to another customer.REPLY to the owner of the shop here as I can't find a place to directly reply to his/her message.It is not merely a question of attentiveness; I am concerned about the underlying reason why she asked us to provide water sample before selling fish to us and accuse us of dishonesty. Were she instructed to do so? If not, this personal behavior is not only rude but also discriminatory and highly unprocessional. I am truly puzzled as to who instilled her with the confidence to engage in such actions. It is disheartening that I have yet to receive an apology from her or anyone in the store or the owner for the distressing experience. THIS should be addressed promptly.

Nice store, but it's pretty obvious they cater to dogs first and foremost. I have a cat and I wasn't really satisfied by the selection. And it seems like they tend to carry the pricier stuff.If you have a dog, I'm sure you will like this store. If you have a cat though, you may not find what you want.Interestingly, it does also seem like a decent place for reptile and bird owners, with a fair few aisles dedicated to each of the two.

Two store aisles were blocked by dog training partisans. The fish tanks were filthy and full of algae. They looked like they were not cleaned in a long time. The store itself was also very dirty and unkept.

Brought my labrador in for a groom this morning. Madison did an amazing job. Before I brought him in, he smelled like he just worked a double shift at the Frito factory. Now he smells so good and all his loose undercoat is gone.

Slow service. Took nearly 15 min to get help with fish when store was not actively busy. Service was friendly when finally assisted. Fish were healthy. No issues after purchase. Fish selection was limited in comparison to other Petco stores.

I live in Huntington and the Petco in Huntington is literally a stone throw from my house but I bring my Jackie Bear to Syosset specifically for Amanda who does an AMAZING job. I am so happy to have found her! Thank you Petco Syosset for making the dreaded grooming a great experience!

The person who worked at the aquatics department was very nice and knowledgeable about marine life and helped me pick shrimp for my aquarium. There was no saltwater section though. But they do have freshwater shrimp, fish, and snails.

Great store, best grooming department. Finn is a crazy husky mix that hates water, but they do such a wonderful job with him.

The employee at this store on Sun, 2/20/22 evening, was so helpful! I was pleasantly surprised by her friendly attitude both on the phone, and in person, and how genuinely eager she was to help me, even though I came in to purchase right before closing time. It was super appreciated. Thank you so much.

Amanda is an amazing groomer. She calms our GSD down, is caring, loving and great at her job. Our 83 lb dog used to get nervous when groomed and now runs into her arms. She is a treasure!!!

My wife was assisted by a manager or assistant manager who helped her select the most appropriate dog treats and was able to offer a discount when we added the purchases to our pickup order. In store support is very good. Sometimes the web site is less functional (slow, odd) than other web applications.

It has most items you are looking for. It carries a lot of food brands. You can of course bring your dog. The staff is helpful. The store is big and clean. The prices seem competitive these days. It is very convenient.The only issue is the parking lot is crowded. Be careful

Store was clean and well organized. I was waiting in line with one register open while two employees stood having a conversation near the register. They were obviously not busy and joking while the line grew on a Saturday afternoon.

I use the grooming service. They do a fine job on my small goldendoodle.I visited the store section today and was disappointed that the leash and collar section had many empty slots. It might be supply chain problems. Plenty of toys, food, grooming products, etc

This store is always clean, has a helpful staff, has well stock shelve of pet foods by many different companies. They have always had the pet food that I feed my dogs, and the prices are similar to Chewy.com, who advertise low prices -- yet I'd have to pay shipping and wait for delivery. This makes Petco more convenient for me.

I love this Store, since it's right around the corner and has everything you need for a pet. Deborah who is the trainer, is amazing and Kristen in the Grooming is fabulous & gentle with my puppy. Everyone is super friendly and helpful in the store. We enjoy the puppy play time sessions too. A clean, organized and very friendly store, thank you Mike - the manager.

Such a somber store. When you walk in its cold and quiet. I prefer a happier, more pleasant experience at a pet shop. They had the Nature's Recipe wet food I was looking for, so all is good. Good selection of product, just wish store was friendlier.

Very expensive pet carriers .. seems excessive. So the story is I needed a pet carrier immediately, with no time to order one on line I went to Petco. They had a selection of 6 or so bags $80-150. I mean that's expensive don't you think.

I went to same store twice in 2 weeks including today. It never has disposable diapers in extra small and small. Their shelf was bare. Very disappointed and went to Pet Smart twice. More stuff there!!

During an unprecedented time, I was impressed how easy Petco made it to get what I needed for my pups. The Syosset staff is organized, professional and helpful while to adhering to a whole new way of life - safety! They should receive some recognition since they made the shopping process seamless during this turbulent time. Always a good store to shop at!

I like your employee, the dog trainer named Shannon. She is very helpful. But I do want more XL and XXL size sweaters and sweatshirts for my golden retriever, Molly. They do not have many nice ones in big sizes.
