Great staff and doctor! They love my fur babies and put my fur babies at ease especially my youngest who is terrified of strangers. My older fur baby LOVES coming here and is so excited. They really care for them and give advice on how to better take of my babies. They are great with scheduling appointments and always explain what they are doing. I would highly recommend!

For a first time visit to a Veterinarian in 30 years, I was worried, so was my cat, Beezer. Nothing at all to worry about. Everyone was friendly, kind, professional, and great with animals. The price was less than I expected, also. I'll be taking him back whenever he needs.Consider me, very pleased!

Truly wonderful, compassionate and helpful people! They performed a leg amputation on my cat and everything went flawlessly. They were so sweet to my little guy and were very informative during the entire process.I highly recommend them.

Five days ago I went to the Suffern Animal Hospital with my canine B due to her licking her paws constantly causing them to become raw. Upon seeing the vet, she determined that she has some type of skin irritation and after a discussion an injectable medication was prescribed. I can’t believe the results. It was amazing, her licking and scratching subsided by about 95 %. I’m told that the shot lasts between four and eight weeks. The money spent was absolutely worth it. Thank you Suffern Animal Hospital. Tom B.

Once Dr French left 👎 I was told not to worry about the test because I had insurance. New Dr/owner knew that and took advantage.

Very nice staff. They don’t have orthopedic surgeons on site and if I knew I would had taken my fur baby elsewhere. As recommended after they took an x-ray, I took my kitten with a broken leg to the Cornell University Veterinarian Hospital in Stanford, CT this Friday, as I write this review is a Sunday. They call me on Monday morning to check on Willow’s recovery. That showed me that they do care for their patients. I highly recommend and will bring back my fur babies. Note: If you suspect your baby has a broken leg, just go straight to the ER, but first make sure they have an orthopedic surgeon on site. It will save you a trip and money, but is my first time any of my pets experienced a broken leg, so lesson learned.

I couldn’t be happier with my choice to use Suffern Animal Hospital for the care of my puppy. The first time we walked in we were greeted by the amazing staff who are always professional, friendly and helpful. I noticed that unlike other veterinary hospitals there was no smell of animals. The office is immaculate! I have had the pleasure to meet both Dr. Lessiak and Dr. Sakolsky and am thrilled to have them taking care of my puppy. The interaction between them and Jojo warms my heart with each visit. It is obvious why they chose the profession. They are kind, loving and thorough in their examination. Jojo and I are happy to be part of the Suffern Animal Hospital family.

After 30 years of patronage we are leaving this practice. If a vet is unable to see you when you have an emergency they are useless as a medical practitioner. This place has gone down hill drastically in the last couple of years. Was told they couldnt see our dog who was scratching so bad his face was bleeding. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a vet that is reliable in an emergency.

Having had so many BAD experiences with the big-name animal hospitals 🏥, my visit to the Suffern Animal Hospital today was like a breath of fresh air. From the moment I walked through the door, I experienced compassion, respect, and most of all cleanliness! Top notch Veterinarian services!!Thanks again,Michael, Aida & Khaleesi

I'm actually upset that i have to even write this review. had an appointment today with our new puppy to get her checkup and vaccinations. The visit was fine and the care was good but upon checkout i noticed a problem with the credit card machine. the front desk attendant took my card and ran it on her side through the system for the coat of the visit. when i returned home i noticed my account was drained for all the money i had left for the week. mind you the amount of the visit and the second charge were different so we can assume that there is a huge glitch in there system. after speaking with the front desk and office manager they worked on a refund but explained that it could take days to be refunded. this is where it becomes unacceptable. i do understand that it's a computer glitch but this is everything my family had to function on and now we have nothing but an apology. not ok!

Very disappointed in how the euthanasia was handled with my 18 year old dog. After waiting around 30 minutes (past our appt time) we were brought into the room, where the relief vet then told us that she would place an IV catheter prior to euthanasia to make the process less stressful. My dog was in the back for at least 20 minutes, and we could hear him screaming while the catheter was being placed. The vet lied to our faces, saying that he wasn’t the one crying…we were the only appt in the building. After this ordeal, the vet came back to tell us that she needed to sedate our dog, because they were unable to handle him during the procedure. Fine, I understand that. Another 20 minutes goes by while we wait for the catheter to be placed. Finally, the technician brings my heavily sedated dog into the room, and when I asked what took so long, the vet made a snarky comment at me that it didn’t take THAT long to place the catheter. Before we could even grasp what was happening, they vet started performing the euthanasia. She pushed the solution so fast, that my dog basically died in 3 seconds - not peaceful at all. Without apologizing for our loss, the vet said that when we were done, we could leave. I questioned her, as I felt uncomfortable leaving my beloved family member’s body in the room alone. She said that I could ask the front desk to “deal with that.” After the vet left, I verbalized to the technician about how horrible this experience has been. Their response: they are short staffed and down a doctor. I am a veterinarian In the field - I know how short staffed and stressful this time can be, but I have ZERO tolerance for a lack of compassion. My family had been going to Suffern Animal Hospital since the 90’s. I can honestly say, I am so disappointed in how we were treated and how my pet was treated in his final moments. My family will never be returning to this hospital. I am mortified on how downhill it has gone since Dr. French sold it.

I was able to make a quick appointment for my doggie and I always appreciate when the staff is kind to my dog. Staff was very sweet and technician was warm and gentle with my doggie. Vet was also very thorough and provided insight as to our plan of treatment.

Good care, and will usually get you in same day if you really need it, friendly but never cheap. My dogs last ear infection cost well over $400. Twice previous, I brought my dog there and had to pay for nothing because she(thedog) wouldn't let the vet people look at the issue. And time before that I had to pay $150 when the dog stepped on a piece of small glass and I couldn't tell if it was still in her paw, just for them to tell me they can't tell either and to come back if it doesn't get better. You can expect to pay $150 no matter what and at least. It is my personal opinion that it should be cheaper, if no care is given or help provided.

Very kind service. Dr. Finch, along with his staff are excellent. I've been taking my little pup there for over a year. I had my dog neutered there as well. Excellent treatment, fast recovery and they're very passionate on what they do. Highly Recommended.

I have an older dog not in the best shape. Dr. Jason was absolutely wonderful with Ginger. She had to perform an ultrasound guided procedure that was failed at another vet office. With Dr Jason, the procedure was a total success! She also addressed my dogs others issue with complete accuracy. With her compassionate care, Ginger was able to live for another year. Just about 2 weeks ago, it was Gingers time. Dr Jason came to the house and gently eased Ginger into sleep with care and compassion. I can't thank her enough for her kindness.♥️
