Well my 16-17 yr old cat had a seizure and I had called before asking about the price and they said 40$. Well after I called again trying to set up an appointment and they told me they do walk ins on Wednesday nights. Well I again how much would the appointment be and all they said was $40... Well I make it there and sign in, I'm waiting about an hour of not longer which is whatever... Well before I was called my boyfriend wanted me to ask the price one more time just to be sure, and when I asked the last time they said, "Well, it's $40 for the vet to see you, then more for whatever else he does." And I'm sorry but don't just tell me it'll be $40 over and over again then tell me there's other fees. I'm new to having my own pets to take care of on my own and I have no idea what vets charge, what's overcharged, etc. I only had $40... And I just feel very lied to.

Received amazing service for my havachon who is going on 14 and has a grade 6 heart murmur. Other vets in WNY would not assist and/or insisted we should see a dog cardiac doctor which is basically eventually spending thousands for a dog nearing the end of her life. She was coughing and was put on simple water pills that have done wonders.

Absolutely awesome! Got me in next day with a very sick kitty and got her in even tho they were obviously super busy! I called several places and Dr. Rice made time and got us in our uphill swing to getting better! Excellent bed side manner and hassle free and VERY reasonable on costs!!:) THANK YOU!!

Dr Rice and his staff have always been amazing. They definitely go the extra little bit to help both humans and animals get through the various trials of life. I've had to take the final step with 2 of my pets and it has been a peaceful and comforting experience.

Dr. Rice is to the point. There is no nonsense and he does what he is able to do. Walk-in times are super helpful and it is good to get there early because you will be waiting! Good with all pets and is quick. Doesn't overcharge!

The veterinary services here are perfect for the community and our furry friends. The veterinarian is always willing to tell it straight and get the results to help your pet in need. Tim answers his own phone after hours and is always quick and honest. Prices are beyond fair. When I was young he was a large vet technician and always fixed our animals on the farm. Thanks for the many years of hard work.

Dr. Rice treated our old cat for what may have been a urinary problem. Unfortunately it did not resolve and we opted to have her put down in lieu of further tests or treatments. Dr. Rice was totally non judgemental re the decision and did so with care and comfort for our beloved kitty and for us. He could not have been kinder or more realistic at this sad time. He is the best!

TIM RICE IS THE BEST VETERNARIAN IN OUR AREAIf I could give Dr. Tim Rice, 10 stars, I would.Ease of scheduling, evening & weekend office access, level of care, proficiency as a vet and attentiveness to his patients sets him above other practices. He went above & beyond for my pets.Last night, my 7 month old kittens were walk-ins for routine shots. I chose Dr. Rice based on referrals from friends. I witnessed Dr. Rice's timely handling of pet needs & emergencies for multiple breeds, while his wife Kathy managed the front desk with finesse and a friendly demeanor. It's clear that they have a loyal client base.Two hours after I got my cats home, my male kitten Brian began showing abnormal symptoms. I Googled it. His adverse reactions to the distemper shot were linked to cases of fatality. I called Dr. Rice's office, got their after hours emergency line and left a voicemail message. I then began calling 24 Hour Emergency Vet Services (the closest 1 - 1 1/2 hours away). Dr. Rice called me back as I was preparing for a late trip and long drive. He listened to my cat's symptoms and offered to meet us at his office - at 10:40 PM - and spared us a trip out of town!When we arrived, Dr. Rice was prepared to treat my cat in the event that he was going into anaphylaxis. He checked over Brian, gave a diagnosis and altered his course of treatment. He helped us, and for that, we are very grateful.Dr. Tim Rice was willing to meet a brand new client late at night, after hours, in order to save the cat's life. How's that for peace of mind? He is knowledgeable and showed compassion and genuine concern. You can tell he takes pride in doing his job well. He also refused to accept any payment. With that, I told him I'd be writing a rave review. He more than earned it. We will be lifelong patients.If you're in need of a great vet in our area or ready to switch to better services, this is the one.HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. RICE WITHOUT A DOUBT :)

Brought a female semi feral cat in for a spray. Dr Rice and staff did a great job. I've brought my dog here also. And when I had to say goodbye to my senior cat, Dr Rice took care of him, giving him dignity and respect. He also gave me time to grieve. Later I recieved a card from them on the loss of my cat Bob. Would definitely recommend coming here with your fur babies.

I had a sick dog over the past weekend, and my regular vet was unavailable. I frantically searched for a vet in Chautauqua County who would take her, as I dreaded having to drive to the emergency vet in Erie, PA due to torrential storms, as well as a potentially unaffordable bill (which I gladly would have done for my little girl). I left a message for Dr. Rice on his emergency number, and he returned my call within 20 minutes. It was Saturday morning, and he advised that his office would be open for walk-ins at 10:00 AM. He also warned me that there might be a wait, as it's first come, first serve. We waited for about one hour, which was totally fine with me. Dr. Rice was very pleasant and professional, even joking with me to calm me down! It turned out that my dog may have injured herself while running around the house. He gave her some meds, and she was back to herself within hours. I also appreciated that he listened to my concerns about giving her a cortisone injection, and provided other options. It was very affordable, and I will be using Dr. Rice as my regular vet. He was highly recommended by friends, and I am happy to do the same for anyone who reads this review. Thanks, Dr. Rice!!

The main things I appreciate about Dr Rice are his experience and his practicality. He provides the meds and the equipment I need, right from his office, to treat the animal. He has treated both my dogs and my cats.

I love it here! Tim and his wife are always so friendly and personable. I feel like family every time I go in and they've taken amazing care of my cat and my dog. I've never been turned away with an unsatisfactory result like at some other vet offices. Tim always has a solution to every problem and treatment is always very affordable.

Awesome ppl!! They Even have walk in hrs and weekend hrs. Busy but not to busy that they gave me suggestions on how to address my fur baby for the 24 hrs until I could bring her to the walk in hrs because he had no apts thay day. Made me feel like they cared about me and my pet. (Shitzu mix vomiting all night white foam )Thank u 💗

TLDR: Their hours are great for tangible emergencies, but otherwise, walk-in patients, don't waste your time.As someone who lives out of the area most of the year, I was happy to be able to go in on Saturday during walk-in hours when I felt like something wasn't right (constantly anxious) with our large mix-breed senior dog. There were a ton of people waiting, and they churned through the sign-up sheet super fast. I got in to talk to Dr. Rice, and I expressed my concerns about our dog. I felt as though he didn't listen to what I was saying; disregarded my concerns; told me that everything will be better if she lost weight; gave her a shot of Ichon (glucosamine) and two more shots for me to give to her at home; and then suggested I look up giving edibles to her for her anxiety.Since my concerns weren't addressed and my dog obviously didn't improve, I took her home to our regular vet, who of course asked what the shot was. I thought I remembered but decided to call to make sure because I couldn't find the paperwork. Well, I couldn't find the paperwork because there wasn't any paperwork. I wasn't put into their system, and there was no record of our visit ever having happened (yet I was charged, of course). Luckily, the vet happened to remember me and could tell me what the shot was so I could relay it to our regular vet. That's really concerning that there was no paperwork or record of what was put into my dog...

I highly recommend Dr Rice to anyone looking for a vet! We had a bit of an emergency with our one dog and Dr Rice and his secretary Irene did a super job working with us- especially with little notice! He was able to fit the emergency surgery in his schedule and for a very affordable cost! After the surgery for several days they made sure to stay in contact and check with us as to how Denali was doing! Highly impressed with the pricing, service, advice and attention we received from them! I like the feel of the old-school hometown vet with experience who knows what they’re doing! I believe in the future we will be switching all our vet needs to Dr Rice, even tho his office is a further drive than our former vet office. Thanks so much!

Went on Wednesday night with no appointment required. Had to wait a bit but the staff were great, Dr.Rice was very knowledgeable, provided some great advice and meds for my cat. The overall price for the visit was very affordable and a great value for the service that was provided. I'll be back for sure!
