They're better than Home Depot in Setauket. They have better finish items for design and appearance. The customer service is a little bit better being more available to help you and they're nicer. The prices are slightly higher but my thought is you get more service if you need it and the store has a better flow allowing you to get in and out quickly hence they're worth a visit.

Terrible experience. I purchased a fence and was to have it installed. They canceled the 1st appointment on the 2nd appointment they delivered the wrong material. I wasted a day off for no reason. The 3rd attempt they delivered the wrong product again. They went to the address that had my fence and installed theirs 1st. Then came back to install mine, without the automatic closer that we discussed.Here’s the kicker. I was told to call customer service for compensation. They sent me an offer from corporate then partially rescinded it.I tried to get in touch with a senior executive and they refused to give me the contact information.I can’t believe the audacity that this customer service guy has. A real lowlife.I’m still trying to get in with Ronda Harlow. A senior corporate executive. If anyone has contact information please let me know. Thanks.I spoke with 2 people already. The bottom line is Lowe’s reneged on an offer sent to me. I want the contact information for Ronda Harlow. No one is willing to give your Sr. Executive information.

Paid 150 for same day delivery. Never arrived. More than 24 hours later I went to the store. The stuff is still there. I asked if they would waive some of the expedited “same day” delivery fee or give me store credit, since they did not deliver. They said no. Instead of just fixing it, they suggested I cancel the order and then place a new order online. This came from the manager.The staff is great here, it’s whoever is in charge who doesn’t seem to listen to the customer. Charging $150 for same day delivery and then not shipping within even 24 hours seems like consumer fraud, no? Especially if it is management’s decision to uphold the charge after hearing the customer’s concern 🤔.

Heather B at the returns counter did an excellent job helping me find a product I was trying to return that had a missing handle, at first we couldn't find the product on the floor, but thankfully we found one that was in the returns area while checking for the product availability at other locations. Thankfully she took the extra time to look in the return area and found the product. But it greatly helped me out and I didn't have to travel to the other locations. Excellent Job! That's a model employee on customer service should be.

Worst place to have any of your home important projects done.Contractors are great! Store sucks! Gave contractors work doors, wrong product. Lied and said they dropped stop off at house when they never did. Then said it was b/c we weren’t home, meanwhile we were here with another contractor installing outside doors. So we were home!The list goes on and onWe will never deal with them again!Worse customer service ever!

Me and my wife gave five star and our sincere appreciation to Adam from appliances dept. His Customer service above and beyond. Very patience, helpful, honest, and very down to earth. He will do anything to accommodate everybody. He is an assets that Lowes must recognize his outstanding and excellent job.

Lowe’s is my go to store for any kind of repair I’m doing. Employees are very helpful and willing which is a thing of the past in most of the big box stores today. This trip I was looking to purchase grout for a repair to some floor tile that had popped up. I bought the adhesive and grout on a previous trip but needed more so I was back. They had restocked the item but not in the color I needed. Previously, almost all of the containers were covered in this black powdery substance that was all over my hands but I did find the color I was looking for. Not this time and yes, you’re right, I should have asked for assistance. Next time, I’ll be back!

I came to the store looking for a stove and a dryer machine. The people were very rude. I was asking questions about the product, and he literally told me that what I saw on the display about the reviews. I was like, that's what I'm asking because I have no idea. I'm asking for recommendations as a customer, expecting him to tell me about the product. That's why people like to buy online because online, you have all the answers and can avoid any attitudes from employees. That's why stores close, and people have no jobs. I asked for a manager, and it was even worse. That's why the employees are rude; they lead by example. I ended up buying because I had no choice. I didn't want to go to another store, but this will be my last time buying here. I don't feel anybody is helpful.

Great Job from returns helped me exchange a missing handle in a facet I got. The plumber already installed the whole thing and we weren't finding one in the store but when the woman was checking availability at other locations, she found the faucet model in the returns cart, and we were able to get the handle!

Lowes always has what we are looking for and the store associates are super friendly and helpful. There's a large selection of cleaners, housework supplies, tools, and building supplies. Sometimes able to find better prices and selections than HD, but depends what I'm looking for. Nice site that's always clean and organized!

This has to be the worst home “improvement” store ever no one friggin helps. They have like 3 employees in the whole store.If I where corporate close the friggin store or relocate.Edit: And If I get a blanketed statement by the “Lowe's team” saying give us another try in the future does nothing. How about this, how about fixing the issues that me and other one star reviewers are posting. If your goal is to have us shop online only, your plan is working.

Never shop here!!!!! I bought a washer and dryer from them and paid for them to install it. The installers said we bought the wrong parts to install it even though their sales associate told us what to buy. I’ve been waiting 3 days for them to install it after I told them I bought the parts they needed. I have a washer and dryer sitting in my hallway. Good luck trying to get someone on the phone to fix this situation. Overall a horrible experience with no solution in sight

Easy to order & was ready quickly. Had order forklifted onto bed of my pick up truck. Took only 5 minutes to complete the pick up. Very pleased 😀

update 2/22/2024- i had given this location 5 stars in the past, now it is getting 2 stars. The representative at the pro center , i believe Lily (the ms. with the glasses). Was great when she signed me up for the business card telling me that i get more discounts than my consumer lowes card. Later i come to find out its pretty much the same thing. I dont normally deliver things to my house so i could care less about the 20 dollar delivery fee instead of 80. I came in today to exchange my window frame , which was fine.. i asked the Ms. from the pro center if i can get something to wipe it down, she wiped down the top and tells me sorry we dont have paper napkins to wipe it down. You would think a pretty big store would have something to help clean certain items or call someone for assistance . She just apologized and walked away. Its only great customer service when you sign up for Lowes business cards. Then they forget how to provide service few days later. Lacks consistency . Maybe more training should be involved. I recommend sending her to medford lowes and learn how to provide excellence customer service. I wish i lived closer to that location. Because of her i will be cancelling my Lowes business card.

Absolutely disappointed. The amount of disrespect for the customer was unreal I asked for help and pressed the help button I stood there for almost a hour and nobody came by I went up to several workers and no one would help even the person stocking the shelf claimed it wasn't his department! And this is why everyone orders on line!!! It's people like this thats destroying everything in the job world for good hard workers!

The absolute worst customer service imaginable. They have a customer service sign over their returns department. Apparently they remove the entire customer service department. All I wanted to know was how much it would cost to deliver a picnic table. They sent me to aisle 26 and said that someone would be there to assist me. For 15 minutes the person working that department kept looking at me from other aisles and then walking away. Apparently they do not want to help anyone purchase anything from the store. The sad thing is that I already knew what I needed to purchase and all I needed to know was the delivery charge. How crazy is that? I was literally just in Home Depot and three people asked me if I needed help within the first 5 minutes of walking into the store.Loews cares so little that they won't even respond to this.

A more customer centric environment than other building suppliers. Often you can find a helpful worker ready to do what they are hired for; unlikethier competing stores. Best to shop early as possible since crowds crop up unexpectedly.

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU WANT A WORKING, LASTING APPLIANCE.I bought a fridge from this Lowes location in April of 2022. In June of 2023, (14 months after purchase) the refrigerator stopped working and Lowe’s scheduled a date for the repair. Three days after the scheduled repair, I get an e mail stating “WE DO NOT AGREE THAT COST OF THE REPAIR IS WORTH IT SO PLEASE ACCEPT A CREDIT TO THE ORIGINAL PRICE OF THE REFRIGERATOR”. We ended up going 1.5 months without a refrigerator because we couldn’t get a clear answer as to how much money we should have received since buying the protection plan and all.Needless to say, not including tax, the MILITARY DISCOUNT THEY NOT LONGER OFFER, along an with up charge less than a year and a half later, I had to come out of pocket $500 for something that was not my fault. NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG FRIDGE FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT.After purchasing a Frigidaire from this same Lowes I am now having problems closing the French door due to poor installation. The French doors are NOT aligned causing it to look terrible and not close. I have attempted to call this store multiple time to speak to an appliance representative and each call gets more and more frustrating. Not only do they not pick up half the time but when I am in contact with a sales associate they re-direct my question to their corporate number and I get re-directed time and time again for no help or assistance. I have been hung up on four separate times. All I want is a working, properly installed refrigerator and this store seems to think that’s too much to ask for.0/10 recommend going here. Good luck.

AVOID HAVING YOUR BLINDS DONE HERE...the 3rd party store (Blinds for You) that Lowe's has a contract with is absolutely HORRIFIC.Just an overall terrible experience. Took quite some time to get my blinds installed and even then they weren't perfectly measured and I have light coming in from the sides (when the blinds to go consultant told me I wouldn't have any light because I have side panels on my windows). The first agent who came to my house came without a mask and was very annoyed I asked him to remove his shoes or wear booties ( I had new ones to provide!). He somehow measured the windows of 3 rooms in under 5 minutes and took it upon himself to push aside my items that were on top of my dresser with his binder (my glass skincare products). When I called the store to let the manager know about this experience his response was to start yelling at me and say "did you have a mask on". I'm in my own house with my own family...you're worker is the outsider. My mind was blown that someone in sales would think it's appropriate to yell at the customer! I actually had to get corporate involved throughout the whole transaction because it's impossible to deal with the store or the manager. Looking back I truly wish I had canceled my order and gone elsewhere....I would have been spared the headache and had blackout curtains that actually blocked the light.Update: 03/01/2024 Still stand by my negative review. My blinds have start to SPLIT -- contacted Bali was told this was because Lowe's installed them incorrectly and now Lowe's corporate is REFUSING to do right and correct their mistake. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Janet from blinds is very very nasty to customers.Look at the reviews for Blinds for you (Mineola, NY) that's the company Lowe uses for blinds -- horrible ratings.

Best home improvement store around. Well, it used to be. I walked in looking for a slow close damper for a cabinet I purchased a few years ago. I was approached by one person who led me to an isle that didn't have anything related to what I needed. Both the second person and the third person I asked told me to go see the other person. Finally I went to a gentleman who explained they do not carry any specific replacement parts for specific models and I had to call the manufacturer. Next time I think I'll just order direct from the manufacturer.

Michael from the glass cutting area was a pleasure to work with. He was polite and patient. He cut the plexiglass to my specifications. Then, when I got home I realized I had measured wrong. I brought the piece back and he recut it for me. He smiled and said, “ No problem. That’s what I’m here for.” It’s great to deal with workers like that.

Went to pickup online order and most of the items were cancelled by the store, waste of a long drive, terrible inventory system. Don't trust their website, this is the second time in the same week.
