Pharmacy was miserable, walk In the store and it smell disgusting borderline unbearable I was gagging. The employees were so rude, first they gave me a hard time because my daughter who I’m picking up a prescription for has a different last name than myself because I’m not married. My original prescription was supposed to be picked up somewhere else but the store unexpectedly was closed so I had to have meds forwarded to Duane Reade and they seemed extremely inconvenienced by customers coming in with this issue. They told me I’d be the last customer they would take before lunch and then they didn’t take me and closed the pharmacy. Staff is absolutely miserable and lacks communication skills.

Over the past few years this particular pharmacy has really taken a sharp decline in customer service. After having same-day surgery at Stony Brook Hospital, I went to Duane Reade for pain medicine for severe post-operative pain. In short, the white-haired elderly woman working at the pharmacy counter (pharmacy tech?) was indifferent and heartless. Rather than offering some sort of solution, all she told me was that even if the prescription gets ordered, she won't have time to fill it because there is not enough staff (just her and the pharmacist) and there are other prescriptions that need their attention. There was till close to 2 hours left open for business. She demonstrated no interest in helping a customer (aka patient) obtain the much needed medicine to control pain. I wasn't waiting for cholesterol medicine or an antihistamine or cough syrup, etc., something that could wait. I had very severe post-op pain and all she could offer was for me to come back tomorrow. Well, in the end after two phone calls with the hospital, and two visits to the pharmacy, I did eventually get my pain medicine. But I had to do all the work. And being told that you, as the pharmacy tech, are too busy to fill my prescription left a very deep dissatisfied impression I have with this store. It's unreliable. I'm going somewhere else for my prescriptions now.

I really hope with one goes out of business the worst pharmacy you can ever imagine. The prices in the store are crazy expensive. There is no way this is going to last.

I VERY RARELY WRITE REVIEWS!!!!!!PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ THIS¡******* THE PHARMACY **********As a patient that has been dealing with mental health issues, for over a decade and then some. I've been to well over 30 different pharmacys throughout. Some good, some I don't even know how they're allowed to operate!! I found my solace at the stop&Shop pharmacy in Ronkonkoma. Very knowledgeable and very polite.** Duane Reade**I stumbled upon this pharmacy, after spending 8 plus hours! calling different establishments throughout long Island.I don't know every one there as I just started using them. But the pharm tec, I believe his name was Steve. He was very polite, compassionate, understanding. I feel as if he genuinely enjoys his job.I would like to note money for me sometimes get tight. And he helped me as much as possible to help me afford my medication.Yes it is a little bit more expensive than other places, but in my opinion it's worth it every time.

Multiple occasions when the pharmacist was rude, put prescriptions back the same day, so they had to refill them, then refuse to do so because it was within 30 minutes of closing time. Find a better location to refill prescriptions

Pharmacist ignored my daughter when she came for booster shot. She waited for 45 minutes until her mom demanded to know what the hold up was! There was no one waiting and no customers. To top it off they lost her covid 19 vaccine card!

Rude staff. Waited over an hour past my appointment time for covid Vax with no one in line ahead of me. 3 others came after and waited as long.Staff was too busy showing each other pics of their Halloween costumes and other things.Earlier in the day my wife waited close to 2 hrs.Not worth it. Get your shots anywhere but here.

Pharmacist told me to go back to my doctor and request a different prescription for it to be covered by insurance. Told me multiple times that this is what I needed to do, and then after I did that they said that it was not covered and I needed to pay full price when I did exactly what they told me to do. Now I don’t have my important prescription because they just don’t know what they’re talking about.

My grandmother came home today and mentioned that she had to buy a product from this store. Her English is not perfect, so she was very grateful for the help received from the clerk Camilo, who spoke to her in Spanish and went out of his way to help her find what she needed. This was heartwarming to hear and I am thankful on her behalf for his hospitality. Sometimes all it takes is a few kind words to make even a complete stranger's day.

It is more of an overpriced convenience store but it does have a pharmacy and a small drug area. The local Walmart has a much bigger drug section with more selection.The front desk person asked if I needed help and when I asked where the bandages were, misdirected me to the wrong aisle!The pharmacist was too busy twiddling her thumbs to notice that I was trying to ask her a question.

The pharmacists Meer & Nor are so kind and so patient...the whole pharmacy is a great team , it’s nice to know that my meds are being processed ASAP ! No matter how busy they always make time for us even if it meant they left late...I truly am grateful to you all for taking care of Tony & I ...thank you all so very much for everything ❣️

Bad pharmacy service. I called. They had three staffs answered my phone and told me to wait for more than 12 minutes. The second time I called they just hung up my call.

Multiple times they have said my medication was ready only to get there and it not be ready. They never process my insurance properly and have to reprocess it every time I get there. Nasty and not helpful.
