I was down to my last two pill medications. I called the pharmacy yesterday and was on hold for like 20 minutes. No one ever came to pick up the phone. Today I called again. Also did not pick up the phone. So I called the store itself and asked for a manager. I was told the manager was busy with a customer and they put me on hold. The manager never even came to pick up the phone. All I was trying to do was seeing what was wrong with my medication prescription because the app told me to contact them about it. What is the use of contacting them by phone if they never pick up the phone. This place was better before covert there were two people at the front that took care of you very very well. I believe one of them was named brad. Since those two left and they quit this place has become a shamble. I would not recommend using the pharmacy by phone because they will never ever answer your call. Horrible pharmacy staff.

Absolute worst company ever! Don't have any choice in using them because its the only pharmacy that our insurance will allow us to use. You're kept on hold for 20 minutes and longer just to be disconnected. You call in for a refill on your prescriptions just to have it still being worked on a full day later. You get messages to pick up prescriptions that were already picked up. And they don't update patient records ever. The automated system doesn't work and the staff is extremely incompetent. If I could give them zero stars I would. Not sure how Walgreens has managed to stay in business for so long. Just the worst!

If I could give negative stars I would. Don’t send your asthma meds here. You’ll end up in the hospital to treat an asthma attack waiting on them like I did. Heck, you might even end up in the dirt for all they care. It’s like rocket science when you switch insurances. The pharmacist had NO remorse when I explained that I needed my inhaler bc I ran out of vials and I chose the only available refill from a different medical provider. This is my second time going through this and I couldn’t put up with the fight this time. It’s possible that I’m wrong. But I work in customer care and I’d give any piece of advice that I could give to best accommodate my customers and give them better insight on what to do with their next step if I can’t do anything for them. The pharmacy is just there to work and collect a check.

This pharmacy has gone downhill. The wait time is ridiculously long. I get a time to come pick up and come in 2 hours later and it's STILL NOT READY. It's never been this bad. I need a knew place.

If I could give them zero stars I would the only reason why I use them is because the hospital send the prescription for my kid there but the can’t use my insurance card because the computer don’t accept my insurance and the person work there don’t know nothing after 30 min there I pay for the medication for my sonBecause I need it. Zero stars

Just don't!!! Stay Away! I think it's a more global issue with Walgreens than anything else but regardless stay away.I wait 6 hours wait for my prescription to be filled just to get there and be told they no longer have it in stock and have no idea when they will get it... Now this is a medication I must take daily to top it off to be able to get it filled at another pharmacy I have to call my doctor and have them write a completely separate prescription.... Their lines are horrible, and customer service was lacking to say the least yet still I went there but now you just come to the window and say sorry we don't have it and we don't know when we'll get it sorry for the inconvenience good night.... Maybe you could have said something 6 hours ago when you received the prescription or how about even 3 hours ago while my doctor's office was still open...No sleep for me 😞

I am writing a review for the regular Store and for the Photo dept. They are both great, friendly & helpful customer service. I use the photo dept alot for enlargements and posters. They contact me right away when the photo items are done. I appreciate that.I have never used their Pharmacy so I can't comment on that.

I have NEVER experienced a seamless capacity to fill prescriptions. Even when it is ordered in advance. There is always a delay. ALWAYS! Standing here for 20 min waiting because their system is down. Even when they obtain it they claim 15 min to put 20 pills in a bottle! Incompetent system. It should not be this hard for a chain store!!! HORRIBLE!

Waited two days for meds. I show up to the pharmacy and the Clark hand me one or four. I ask her where’s the other ones. She tells me, “two are over the counter, you can choice the ones you want over there”. She was pointing at a row of meds. In the mean time she is telling me the other medication is going to take a few minutes I need to wait.This store has gone down. Not only are they nasty, but they open after 9:00 every time. Im leaving and going to CVS.

If I could give them zero stars I would the only reason why I use them is because my insurance require me to get 3 months supply and cvs doesn’t do a 90 day supply. Best way to contact them is calling Walgreens customer service and having them transfer you other wise you can’t get in touch with anyone

The walgreens itself is always stocked and almost never has a line at check out. They allowed my son to use the bathroom as well. Clean and friendly. The pharmacy on the other hand is a hot mess. The phone is constantly not working. Prescriptions are never done in a timely manner and they are constantly out of stock.

Don’t try n call the pharmacy it’s ridiculous they pick up ask u to hold n keep placing u on hold without saying anything someone just picks up the phone n places u back on hold I’ve been placed on hold six times in a row lol I get ur busy but it seems a little much just let me know your attempting to answer the phone 1/18/23 btw at 11:30 I started my waiting it’s now 1:53 and was just put back on hold two more times since I started writing this lol geeze guys

Getting the pharmacy to answer the phone is harder than inventing a cure for covid. Today I was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. Two days ago, I waited an hour on hold before I gave up. I know people are really busy these days, but an hour on hold? When I finally called and got the manager to transfer me to the pharmacy, they told me the delay was a computer glitch. That’s total BS. I never had this problem with Duane Reade. I will never shop at ANY Walgreens on Staten Island again. Especially THIS unprofessional uncaring pharmacy. All my scripts are now with Rite Aid. You are risking your life if you think the pharmacy here is remotely professional.

I don’t like Walgreens on forest avenue because there is always a long wait I like Walgreens on Hylan Blvd or clove road and the pharmacist was so nasty and the pharmacist behind the counter took forever to fill up my prescription first she said it is ready and then it wasn’t ready I mean come on people make up your mind

I go to this walgreens all the time. I love most of the staff there because they are nice and helpful. At pharmacy I get help from Brendan V. who is so kind, helpful and patient. He answers all my questions. From the front store I get help from Ron at photo, and in cosmetics I get help from Cherie who always takes time to inform me of sales and new products. The managers Stephanie P. and Taquiyya P. always help me whenever I have a concern. They are great.

Visited this store last week during the heart of the Covid virus. Needed a lot of stuff, but when I got to the cashier the distancing between me and another customer was only about 1-1 1/2 feet apart. When I made mention of this at the counter, a very rude young cashier laughed at me, and mumbled something to the woman who was close to me, who then also laughed.. really??? This is the way you deal with your customers who are uneasy during a serious panademic! Sadly, I left all 100 dollars worth of my shopping at the counter, was so appalled, I left.Walgreens management at that store and maybe others definitely needs to work more seriously with their rude staff and their cashier station distancing! Below is a wonderful rating for Cosco was posted online! Definitely needed to share, Walgreens , Forest Ave definitely should read it😤KUDOS TO COSTCOI just returned from Costco. There is a guard at the front with 1 lane to go in. They are only letting in a certain number of people at a time. They are totally doing crowd control. When you are ready to pay you must stand in 1 of 3 lanes marked off with tape 6 ft apart and a worker sends you 1 by 1 to an open register. Yeah, it took a little longer but I felt very safe being there. You can still buy from the concession stand but all tables and chairs are gone. No congregating allowed.

These managers don’t know what they are doing I call this Walgreens in the afternoon and explain my situation saying I bought a scale from a separate location and that I did not have box or receipt because the scale worked when I bought it and the next morning guess what the scale did not work ! She told me to hold on for a brief second and when she came back to phone she said “yes just bring it in” just a few hours later i bring the product back and she tell me “NO I need a receipt and the box” ok people get on the same page here and that they can’t refund me anything because it’s not the same store .... absolutely ridiculous ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!!!!!

Pharmacy is unhelpful. I have always gone to a Walgreens further from my house and couldn't remember why I havent gone back into this one until I went in today. the pharmacy staff was very rude. I asked about one of my medications and recieved little to no information. When I asked if someone could check availability at another Walgreens I was told No, which seems strange to me since the medication I take seems to be impossible to get and anytime I asked my usual Walgreens they managed to do it, even the Walgreens near the mall which I've only been in once has checked for availability. The Pharmacy Staff are Lazy. As a customer who has been going to Walgreens pharmacy for a VERY LONG TIME I shouldn't now have to Google Walgreens for numbers and drive around to get my medication... Seriously?

I'll only use this Walgreens if I'm in dire need of something. The pharmacy is run more like a circus and the hours of operation are minimal. Pharmacies shouldn't close early, especially in New York City. They will hold your medication at the front desk if you ask them to, but I don't know how much I trust that

Pharmacist is rude. Refused to fill a legal and valid prescription. Will be filing a complaint with NYS Office of the Professions and possibly a Civil Lawsuit.
