Is there any particular reason why when they have the best deals and the best sales I have to come three times a day to see if they actually stocked up and every single day to see if the items are available ? And no one seems to have an answer every time you ask a worker when will it be available they don’t know or how much is this display that’s on sale their respond is oh I don’t know , you can check in the app or ask customer service and their other response is oh I don’t really know if they have any more of this item. whatever’s there I cannot help you or you can try to ask customer service This seems to happen every week I come in to shop specially for the sales item and you never know what time it will be available or what day , and if it’s available, no one‘s there to get it for you or to stock up on it throughout the whole day, It’s very upsetting when I find the best deals and drive-by, and I don’t find these items that are advertising the circularThey definitely need additional grocery workers to stock up on all these sale itemsAll I ever see is one older man stocking up and he’s constantly by his self and so many senior customers need his help . Hopefully after this review, we can see more improvements. . I can understand weekends the sale is ending. They’re out of stock. I could understand the end of the night they’re out of stock but mid weekdays 11:30 AM it’s all out of stock. So what time and what day of the week is the best day to come when everything is stocked up?

I have been to this store twice with my mother and I thought the prices were little cheaper. In the summertime I was wrong. I've got 9 items what I felt like to me was 30 or $40. But when I went to the concession stand I found out that it was almost $50 because they were prices on the shelves that was less pricey.😔🙁 I felt like they just put that there to show off. If I were you I would go on instacart instead of doing ShopRite outside. I tried this method last week and it wasn't what I expected. It's not a bad store. They do have a bathroom. In certain Seasons, their prices are high and sometimes their quality is bad.😐👎

Not sure what’s worse here the parking lot or the deli department that can’t slice cold cuts to save their life seriously have your employees ever eaten a sandwich before? Do you even train them or just hand them a block of meat and point at the slicer?

Follow up : After writing this review, I received what appears ti be a robot response “From the owner” (see below) from someone whose only name appears to be “us,” asking me to contact them to further discuss my review. The response lists a web address to which I am asked to write an email. The web address turns out to not be a valid email recipient address according to Gmail so it was not possible to send an email.It also lists a phone number, but adds no information regarding what to do if I call this number:a specific person to ask for-no information at all.This ridiculous response is completely consistent with the miserable store experience itself.I’m not surprised.After 30 years of ShopRite shopping from Paramus to West Nyack to Westfield to East Orange I have say that this is the least dependable of them all, in many ways.You can be assured that if an item appears in the weekly circular-and it could be ANYitem-that it will be nowhere to be found in this store. The blanket explanation from any of the employees is that “the truck didn’t deliver.”There are also widespread discrepancies between prices posted next to items on shelves or in coolers or freezers, and the price that appears when checking out. In order to get the correct price, an employee has to go to wherever the item is located, verify the price, and then return to correct it. I’ve taken pictures of items with prices next to them-but that’s not acceptable proof for ShopRite. I understand they’ve had major challenges with people trying to buy red leaf lettuce for fifty cents less than the real price lol. Seriously, though, this store seems to have turned the old “customer is always right” adage on its head. It’s more like: “Every customer is a potential thief.” Shame on them.This happens constantly, and one wonders if it just might be intentional “carelessness.” Intent or not, this store can and should be fined for this. When it’s the same item wrongly priced at checkout-for over two months-it’s more than a little suspicious.On the occasions I’ve spoken with a manager, I have found that they are uniformly brusque and dismissive. I contrast this with the managers in some of the Inserra-owned ShopRites-a totally different experience.I go here because it’s closer to where I live, but depending on traffic, I often drive twice the distance to go to the ShopRite in Hylan Plaza, which happens to an Inserra-owned store.This has to be the most disappointing ShopRite I can imagine.

This store is the worse. They don't never have anything in there. Especially when ordering through insta cart. It will say many in stock and the shopper will show me pictures of empty shelves. They Need to update there online inventory.

I always shop there. I can't give them a high rating because of their deli department. They do not like cutting thin. Some say it's not possible (which is not true) and others show you the first slice cut thin, then continue to cut it thick after. So many times I've got home opened it , and I see a thin slice , then the rest thick. I ask for boar's head and they give me something that doesn't taste like boar's head... (Maybe store brand idk) I just know I only eat boar's head so I know how it tastes and looks. The Hylan Blvd location does a better job. 80% of the time. And if there's an issue they fix it without no problem.Their meat was ok too. But recently for some reason... their meat is not on point. Idk if they got a new butcher or what , but I had to go elsewhere for meat, as well.🤷🏻‍♀️There are always cars parked in the disabled Parking spaces that don't have disability tags. Idk if that's really their problem, but it's annoying for people who need them.

I ordered a few items for delivery because my brother and I are both too sick to leave the house. The order cost me $25 more than the items purchased, that is way too much for tip (the tip is added in) and delivery. Such a ridiculous rip off!!! No concern for the elderly, disabled or just feeling sick. Such a shame.

Parking lot is large but a bit tight with careless drivers. The store is well stocked and the deli and bakery is fresh. The prices are moderate and competitive with ample sales available. Customer service is pretty good. Ppl are friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are a bit rough at times but they do clean them but not very often thru a 24 hour period.

Who is supervising the pick up department for deliveries… they are horrible…. They don’t care about their customers… so organized… they are always behind no matter what time of the year it is….. no one in that dept cares… they alll brush you off and think you can just wait… Lauren you are so horrible is scary girl

I have been a shoprite customer for over 30 yrs of course times have changed, this problem threw me, on the website it shows 32oz glory collard greens for 2.50 and the 16.oz for 2.00 Jan 27 2024, my husband went to get a rain check to be told because it's not in the circular we can not give a rain check! Why do you have it on your website on sale reg price 4.99 and not honor? I know that all shoprites are privately owned and Staten Island shoprites have changed, this is why every opportunity I get I go to Jersey. The prior we there was a beef sale a butcher told me that the angus steak did not come in blade cut, like the chuck blade, I buy this steak monthly so I went across bridge to pickup 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ no it was not on-sale across water! Whatever happened to the customer being right or give it to them because that's what our website states??? No one cares anymore!

Another great ShopRite on the island. Idk how much better it is than the Hylan one, but this location seemed to be renovated more recently with LED light fixtures, and a refreshed exterior.

I want to acknowledge a young man named Michael P who was gathering the carts in the parking lot but saw I had a lot of bags & came over to offer to put my groceries in the car.We spoke for a little while and I shared that someone in my family was on the spectrum, because I had a feeling he was & he confirmed it (but he also mentioned that while working at ShopRite he earned a bachelors degree in political science from CSI) and I just have to say that I commend ShopRite for giving this young man & others a chance to feel pride, confidence and a sense of self-worth for the past 5 1/2 years so it’s a win-win for everyone.Just glad to see & meet people with disabilities are given a chance & not discriminated. I’m sure it takes a lot of time & patience training them but kuddos to your management team.Excellent job to ShopRite on Forest Avenue, Staten Island NY for honoring people under the ADA 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

DO NOT SHOP HERE! I have been here multiple times and witnessed bread in both the bread aisle and the bakery eaten away by mice! This place has a bad mice problem and should be shut down immediately until they get this problem fixed.

This store is absolutely filthy! I was going to purchase bread and it was chewed by rats, it was on more then one loaf of bread! Also the Hellmans Mayo is from Europe that’s why it’s in ml not ounces and my digital coupon wouldn’t come off,also they had a grand reopening and never shut down and had all there night employees to breath in all that terrible stuff! They don’t care about there customers nor there employees! I’ve started shopping elsewhere. You should have the health dept called on you.

The girl running the pick up delivery is the worst employee I have come across… this store has no respect and the tone in their voice is unacceptable… they are so young they have no clue to what customer service is… the manager answered clearly as he do t know a clue what’s happening and does not care at allllll…

extremely rude security guard, didn’t even acknowledge me… when i was trying to ask a question. when trying to ask a manager the same question, he responded in a rudely manner. i usually go on a late night run to shoprite. my past few experiences i’ve felt uncomfortable. workers looking at me, making it seem like they’re watching my every move. my last time at shoprite i was walking out of the store empty handed because what i needed was locked up with no way of getting it till the morning. as i’m walking past the register an employee is walking towards me trying to stop me. he amused i was stealing. definitely felt that i was getting racially profiled in that moment… because of my brown skin & my cultural clothing. i felt the tension in the moment & i felt very uncomfortable. the employee proceeded to look me up and down before watching me leave the store. absolutely disgusting behavior from the shoprite employees & completely unacceptable.

Liquor selection is better the expected. But the store it self needs updating. And if you order groceries to pick up its never organized and ready. I always have to watch as they try to find everything in separate bags and put it all in a cart. And half the stuff you order isn't in stock. I stopped using it as and now order Amazon fresh.

Update! 2024 They have card skimmers in the self checkout. My card had gotten money stolen off of it from this store. So always go to a cashier instead of self checkout.Been shopping here for years. Good produce, decent sales and consistent with design of place.
