Dr Frank has been our family vet for over 20 years. He’s kind, smart, so patient and caring. He’s old school. If your pet is sick, the office will call to check on them. I have so much affection for him. When we put our first dog down, he was so caring and patient. Gave us so much time with her. He shed tears as he put her to sleep. When I went here for my Sulcata Tortoise Myrtle in January when my primary vet didn’t have appointments available, Dr. Scandaglia was very kind and professional on how he treated her and how he listened to me and advised me how to treat her, staff was also very kind and even called me back to answer a question I asked and didn’t have the answer at the timeDefinitely a vet added to my list for all of my reptiles.

Great vet. I bring my bird and chinchillas here! Scheduling is great because they usually have open slots available within a week. This morning I called right when they opened because I was worried my bird was sick. They told me to come in an hour later and it was a Saturday. I was so happy with how accommodating they were.Right now you still can't go in with your pets which is a bummer. But service is really fast. I recommend!

I took my pet Guinea Pig and he gave him a thorough examine. He shared a lot of information about Guinea Pig. I had gone to two vets and my Guinea Pig was on antibiotics for Upper Respiratory. He was the only one yo prescribed Probiotics. He explained the reason why he should be using this medication. I live in Far Rockaway it was worth the trip. The receptions are so professional and sweet. Thank you guys

I took my cat here many years ago for an annual and vaccines, which was a breeze. I also had a pet gerbil and they took good care of her, but unfortunately I had to put her down because she was too sick to care for in my busy home & this office was able to do so at a good price.I recently needed my cat to have a foreign body surgery; all I had to do was send over all her records & that same day Dr.Frank was able to do the surgery; he was quick & amazing overall. There was no run around, it was straight forward. The price was affordable which was a big plus for me!The staff are nice, don't really talk much to you, except of course to give you the info you need for your pet.Small parking lot right in front of the office for maybe 3 cars, the rest is street parking. They take Care Credit & Visa.Highly recommend!Thanks Dr.Frank & Staff!

Dr. Scandaglia and his staff are exceptional! He has been taking care of my 2 Italian greyhounds for many years. My oldest is 18yrs old and my younger is 5. I wouldn’t think of taking them anywhere else. He gives his honest assessment but never pressures you, only offers options and approx pricing when asked. In the end it’s the owners decision. He is kind, gentle and caring. He is truly a wonderful caregiver to all animals.To the comment of “taking peoples hard earned money”…vet bills are expensive and as the owner you should have done your research. I have a close friend that captures stray cats and he helps her with neutering and spaying. He works with her at a discounted price. I’m sure he would have worked with you IF YOU ASKED. But instead you want to trash his name and services on a Google review. Shame on you for not doing your homework. Word of advice: check the reviews on the big chain stores before bringing your animal, good luck!

Dr. Scandaglia and all of his staff treat their animal patients with gentleness, warmth, and effectiveness, which is why I've brought my cats to him for many years. If you're just looking for the cheapest care, I'm sure it can found elsewhere. To me, it's been more important to know that my cats will always be treated as family.

I am so happy that I found this place for my little one. After being told that my dog will need to do surgery for an umbilical hernia after 6 years of going to the same practice we found it off that this wasn’t mentioned before.I did some research, found this practice and Dr. Frank was so kind and informed us that my dog in fact does not need surgery at all, and his umbilical hernia has healed by itself.Saved us time, money and most of all our precious one from going through a surgery.Thank you so much Dr. Frank , we are forever grateful and will be returning back for my dogs’ vaccination/medication.

Sorry for the late review! Had to take my bird here after he sprained his foot. I was a little nervous since I never went to a vet before! Doctor Scandaglia and his wonderful staff made the experience quick and painless! He quickly diagnosed the problem and assured us everything would be okay! The office even checked in with us to see how the little guy was doing later on! Will definitely return if I have any other problems or concerns! THANK YOU GUYS!

My daughter's dog has several health issues, stemming from her time as an abandoned puppy before she was rescued. Island Vet Group was willing to do a couple of very needed surgeries on her in spite of her vulnerabilities and she's doing great!!! Now if they could just find a way to stop her from shedding ...

I highly, highly recommend. He is also one of the few doctors that see exotic animals such as guinea pigs.

A wonderful service that provided rapid and precise answers to questions I had regarding my cockatiel. While I was waiting in the parking lot, I noticed that all the dogs entering and leaving the building seemed eager to be there. It's as though the pets themselves know that they're in for a good time. A routine check up was around $70 which is fair given the detailed analysis they give of your pet. I'll definitely be frequenting this vet in the future.

I'm very pleased with today's visit. It was cockatiel's first vet visit and I was so anxious for the both of us. The Dr was very delicate handling my baby and made sure I had all my questions answered. Will definitely come back here if needed. All the staff here is very friendly.

If you have a bird, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE! I brought my bird in for an xray. Got her back with a bent toe and a broken wing. If this is how I got my bird back, I'd be cautious of bringing my dog or cat here. I had called with my concern when I got her back and there was no responsibility taken. So my advice would be to avoid this vet at all costs.

My husband took our African fire skink here within the past two weeks for trouble opening his eyes & staying out of his dirt, seeming to bask- completely abnormal. All I'm going to say is we are furious & disgusted with the clear lack of examination that lead to today. My husband said they didn't even open his mouth to check inside, & no further testing or anything was recommended. Not even a stool sample to test for parasites. No other advice given besides what I wrote below.Today, we find our skink laying upside-down, dead, with no eyes. NO EYES. He obviously had something serious going on & probably suffered this whole entire time, until he died. Eye ointment & warm baths, re-check in 3 weeks if no improvement. That's what we were told. That's it.We lost a family member today, in a gruesome & horrific way. Someone needs to be held responsible.
