My go to local aquarium store. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I buy a fish they last and easily adjust to my aquarium. My first fish were a pair of Bolivian rams, they were very dull at first but after a month there color became eye popping.

We bought our fur baby at arcadia last month and I can’t be more pleased with the help and professionalism from this cozy family owned store this is truly a mom and pops and son business that really put their hearts in it we got Leo and bought him all the necessities we needed and like every other pet store you think you can buy stuff cheaper on amazonnope …they have the same prices which is great because you get to pick out stuff feel it in person and get advice from friendly staff and I rather give them my business then a big corporation and support our community not to mention see all the new cuties that arrive

It is always better to patronize owner operated businesses, they know what they are selling and are very helpful. Unlike places like Petco, the people working there have no idea what they are selling.Arcadia personnel know pets and their advice is always on point and keep pets at their best.I highly recommend them

I went in there with my 3 year old daughter to buy a beta fish, I specifically asked the worker by the fish for a healthy fish due to my daughter being so young, the beta fish died in less than a week. It was inactive with a fungus - which could not have been from me because I bought a brand new tank, water drops and fish food from this store as well.I had a beta tin the past that lived 5 years in a bowl.If you are looking for a beta, go to Pet-Co. the fish are much healthier! I had to find one to look the same as the one we bought in this store.Very disappointing and a waste of money!

This pet store blew me away!! In business for over 30 years, and always run by family, this store has a selection of reptiles and amphibians that I have never seen in stores 3 times their size! With that selection needs some expertise, and they have it! The 2 young men I spoke to were very well informed about the animals they were in charge of, and seemed to care about them as well. I could have spent all day there, but my daughters would have killed me! If you haven't been to this store, GET THERE NOW! YOU might find a new friend!!

Horrible husbandry and care for basically all of their animals, especially the dogs. All of the dogs are from backyard breeders and puppy mills. Many are "designer" mutts (Puggles, doodles, etc, for example) that are bred purely for profit and typically have no health testing or pedigree. Designer mixes are inherently unethical to breed in the first place.If you're looking for a purebred dog, look for ethical breeders from the AKC, UKC, or breed-specific clubs - not this disaster store. I can guarantee you a well bred purebred from an ethical breeder will be a better fit than any sort of designer mutt or doodle.

I got my miniature schnauzer at Arcadia and cannot thank them enough for giving me my best friend. Cynthia was amazing with answering any questions I had and to this day still keeps in touch to see how Homer is doing. I recently had someone stop me on the street during our walk and ask about my dog and sent him to Arcadia where he ended up getting one of his own. Can’t thank them enough for all they have done for me and highly recommend them!

Horrible husbandry for their reptiles. All of them are kept in improper enclosures, which are also way too small for many species. They also have a macaw there for a very long time, not sure if it's the same one I saw when I was a kid, but it's also in a pretty small cage for that type of bird. It's absolutely ridiculous and I cannot believe this store is still open.I went in to see if they had any reptile supplies, and I left feeling horrified. Please check out the photos below. If you know anything about these animals, then you know how bad this is. It's understandable to have smaller tank sizes for animals that will be sold soon, as long as they are not there for long. But I doubt these animals are moved into larger tanks since they are here for the majority of the day.Look at the bearded dragon for example. This animal needs a MINIMUM of 4 feet in tank length for both movement room and a temperature gradient. This dude has no spot to even bask.Do not shop here. Report them if you can. They should not be allowed to continue business because they do not care about their animals at all.

Extremely excellent service I got a very friendly green cheek baby conure excellent health who cheers the household up. Thanks to the workers who prepared her for a new home she gets along with all of us. Today they gave me free millet spray just for being a customer. I would recommend this store to anyone.

These people DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR ANIMALS. Their birds are kept in cages too small for the ammount that they have. Their water is dirty and the birds have no toys, it is not right. The dogs are kept in very small cages and look very sad. The dogs have almost nothing in their rooms, a couple of them had no blankets or anything in the cage.

I am a quadriplegic my wife bought me a puppy from them on 12-11-23 it was my Christmas gift. It is great for me she is my princess she is wee wee pad trained and small enough for me to walk with my aides for the therapy I require!

The owner is extremely rude & nasty. He keeps puppies in small cages that look like there are sick or dying. He overcharges to where the normal person can’t afford any of his puppies. Sickening.

This store is definitely not your typical puppy mills. They care for their animals and make sure they goYo good homes. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend and buy from Arcadia again. The owner even gave me her personal phone number if I had an emergency with my new puppy. You don’t find that these days. Top notch place!!

Tom, the owner, is an awesome dude. The employees there are great! Great quality fish. I've bought some aquatic plants from this shop and they've been doing fantastic in my tanks. This is a local fish shop I would wholeheartedly support! This shop is a must-go if you are on the island for some aquatic life.

When asked where the puppies came from, blood lines, etc. The owner who’s a guy got mad at me for asking and the woman behind the counter looked an aggravated at me. No doubt about it these poor things are from puppy mills. I have taken witness to huge dogs in such small cages - way too big to be all day - that are taken out for breaks every now and then throughout the day. The dogs look sickly and tired. They do not keep toys in their cages or beds for that matter. I know two people who have purchased and their puppies were full of worms, very sickly and one came close to death. I believe a new law is being passed in 2024 banning the breeding of any animals and it’s about time because our shelters with whom hold beautiful dogs are overrun. Please do your research on puppy milling, it is horrifying and the dogs are left to be breed over and over again so that people may have these “specialized breeds”. It’s not humane to the animals. Please please reconsider supporting this.

Arcadia Pets did such a great job with finding my family’s puppy. We truly could not have found more of a perfect fit for us and we thank Cynthia for everything. We’ve only had our puppy for 2 days but we already fell in love with her.So, a few weeks ago, we put our name on her list but it wasn’t until we went to the store that the process started. When we went to see if they had any available puppies on their Wednesday arrivals, we were put on the phone with the store owner, Cynthia. We told her we wanted a small hypoallergenic puppy and she let us know she had one available. We stayed in touch that week and let her know we wanted that puppy and that was that! We went to visit the puppy at her store a few days before getting her and she was so so perfect and still is. She has everything you need for the puppies in her store and takes such great care of them before going in to your hands. She really does care about her puppies and makes sure they are going to a great family. She has stayed in touch since we got her to make sure everything was going well as it really was! The puppy is breathtakingly adorable and so sweet! She has barely barked and she is just perfect. Thank you so much Cynthia and the Arcadia Pets crew!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. When I asked the owner who was extremely rude because I wanted to know where his puppy’s were coming from, he responded super nasty. I asked to see where they were coming from. Not only was he nervous about it, he couldn’t wait for me to leave the store. There are puppies in shelters who need great homes. These puppies and their poor mothers are being milled and tortured so you can walk away with a designer dog that shouldn’t even be created. Check the shelters bc they have hypoallergenic dogs. These poor dogs did not ask for this. Not to mention the Macaw parrot who’s caged and needs to be free. If you do your research you will find macaws need HUGE enclosures!!! Not the tiny cage it has :( the reptile cage, same deal. These poor things could barely walk around in there. I hope the owner and all of his workers come back in the next lifetime I’m a tiny little cage or a milled puppies. This is horrid. I can’t believe people still support this horror show. Karma. When there is no justice for animals…there is karma. Please think carefully before giving your money away to this nasty secretive rude owner.

I am so grateful at Arcadia Pets. They have come to the rescue for me so many times over the years. They have ordered special birds and fish for me and we also got our beautiful family dogs here. I have always been very happy with the health of and the price of our pets as well as the customer sercice and specialized support they are always happy to provide.Most recently Arcadia Pets helped my family find a new home for two birds. These birds belonged to our beloved Mother who loved them very much but who so sadly just passed away. The time, effort and care they took to ensure that these two birds could stay together was something I will never forget and I will always be so grateful to them for.To know that our pets went free to a family who really wanted them makes our whole family feel so much better about having to part with my Moms sweet birds, Rainbow and Sky. We never could have that piece of mind without their help.It's not easy to find a family owned business that has so much to be proud of, now moving on to the next generation. I got my mini schnauzer (Ruth) back in September. The owner spoke with me over the phone before I left the shop. I felt that she took a personal interest in ensuring her animals were placed well. They recommended St. Francis vets (they have been phenomenal with Ruth). I also used Arcadia’s groomer, Donna. She did an amazing job and I was impressed. All around great experience

I have had nothing but exceptional experiences with Arcadia Pets. My family has been doing business with them for 20+ years and we have had ten dogs from them between myself, my parents, and my siblings. They have always been there for us to make sure that our dogs are doing well and living their best lives. Tommy and Cynthia are such warm and wonderful people who care about their customers and have always been there to answer any questions or concerns. I read a few other reviews and can say with 110% confidence that their puppies are from breeders who provide the utmost care to their animals. I am a big supporter of small businesses and this mom & pop shop has everything you could need for your pets - from food to supplies - and they even offer grooming services. I truly wouldn't trust anyone else to help me with my pet needs and to help me when it comes to bringing home a furry friend. The shop is small, but their animals are happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend Arcadia to all of my friends and family!
