Always consistent. It’s Upstate quick serve dining at its best. Good size portions. Enough for a to go container. Great specials. Friendly staff. Makes you feel like your at an amusement park or carnival with the food selection and playful staff without any supervision.Can’t go wrong with burger and fries, but everything else is worth the try.

Service is very friendly, though it's just counter, you bus yourself. Ambiance is non-existent really. Here's the thing: 1 bud light, 1 Dr. Pepper, 2 orders of buffalo wings, and an order of mac & cheese with 20% tip ran me $60. Ya don't get bang for your buck here, and the wings weren't the slightest bit crispy though the sauce is good. Definitely not a spot I'd be in a hurry to return to, I have no idea how this place has high rating or why the lines were so big unless maybe the ice cream is amazing. Not a place I would recommend for lunch though.

7/1/23 still a favorite place to stop for the creamiest soft serve around.(flavor burst is awesome)Old review:Our first time to Mac-A-Doodles. Very polite and helpful staff and the only place around that was open and serves “Flavor burst” soft serve ice cream. I had strawberry and my boy had Creamsicle... both were awesome! Went back the next day to try more flavors and they were all excellent and the soft serve the creamiest we’ve found in some time.

Used to like this place but don't anymore. The only halfway decent thing here is maybe the burgers and chicken wraps. The fries are so extremely salted that they are difficult to eat, all you taste is the overpowering salt the entire meal, gross! The hard ice cream comes in tiny "scoops" - 2 scoops are more like 2 spoonfuls. We spent close to $40 for barely any food and a tiny amount of ice cream. Not worth it. Customer service is also just meh, kinda abrupt and rude but not horrible. Skip the fries and ice cream, only get the burger, or go somewhere else.

I stopped here twice in one day. The first time I had lunch before venturing down the Catskill Rail Trail. The second was for soft ice cream. Both experiences were fantastic. The food and ice cream were very good. The staff was friendly and quick. I was surprised by the "your order is ready" flash and buzzer devices they had. The area I sat outside was well maintained and clean. All around worth my time. I will definitely stop here again next time I am in Stamford.

Fun spot for ice cream and/or a meal. The lunch selections are varied and creative. Today we had a salad, wrap and burger. The sandwiches come with chips and a pickle. The chips were great. We upgraded the burger to fries and the cost was worth it. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The seating area is decorated like an old fashioned ice cream shop, lots of fun details. Would highly recommend Mac-A-Doodles.

I think we can all agree that we're past the point in life where you can throw the cheapest frozen patty on a grill and call it a burger (except McDonald's... you do you).When i order a burger, I want to bite into real meat. If you're the same, this ain't the place for us.

Had a quick lunch here ordered a double cheeseburger, can you imagine there was the wax paper that separates the patties still in my burger! I cannot believe the laziness to remove that and what does that even mean the burgers are nuked in the microwave and not grilled?? If the burgers were grilled there would be no way the paper would stay on there. Also hairs in the French fries.Cmon guys get it together there are too many kids working there that don’t care! Awful awful awful! Not cheap either!

Really nice place. Stopped with 3 co workers. Had the Barbeque chicken wrap and it was good. It wasn't great, the staff was very friendly, food was very good too. I wouldn't say it was amazing, 4 or 5 stars. But it was better then 3 . I would definitely go again.I would definitely recommend it too.

Love this place! Everything that my husband and I have tried is great, especially the burgers and fries. They have a large assortment of ice cream flavors which allows everyone to choose a perfect desert for them. We go there at least once a week to support local students. I would highly recommend this place!

Stopped here for lunch with the family. Two of my girls and myself all got BLT’s, so amazing. The food disappeared. Plain fries were awesome, single order was giant. Waited maybe 7 minutes for food to be ready. Perfect for what we needed. Quick, easy, delicious.

I've eaten here many times, even back when it was the size of a toolshed stuck up by the autoparts store. Since then their menu has expanded from just ice cream, to dinner and lunch fare too. The ice cream sizes are still just as big, and the food is fresh, hot, and tastes great. I like the atmosphere/asthetic of the place, and the staff are awesome too!The reason I gave four stars instead of five, is that some of the railings outside are coming loose, especially by the stairs along ny-23. If a handicapped person were to rely on these and they shifted to the side or broke loose, that person could fall and get hurt.EDIT: those railings have been repaired, and secured much better :) changed rating to 5☆!

Great location, awesome expansion and good food. It is fast-food type food, so it will be a little greasy, but they have such a large offering! A nice wide scope, plus libations (if you are so inclined) and ice cream for your pups! Prices are pretty standard. Not super cheap, but not expensive.

it's a cute, casual country cozy place to grab a bite to eat. soft and hard ice cream...baby size is plenty to eat if you're ordering a cup or cone. they also do a good burger. eat in, eat out, all food is made to order. there is a separate indoor area with picnic tables. they have a TV on the wall and magazines for those if us who like something to watch or read while you eat. parking is free. there is a unisex bathroom.friendly service.

I drive 3 hours for the best deep fried oreos ever... the burger with the boom boom sauce, amazing as well. The staff is always friendly.
