A great place to find cute Wares. A little pricey but some of it is so curated, they do the work for you! A fun place to visit!

Had such an unpleasant experience there today. The gentleman at the counter had no customer service skills at all. I brought my things up to pay, having approx $100 in merchandise and I had two questions for him about pricing. The first was answered w a sharp NO. And the second was a $20 book that I thought was 20% off and again was given a sharp NO because it wasn’t “over $20”I asked if he could call the vendor to ask (I had purchased other items from the same booth) to which he replied NO! I told him to refund me the $20 on the book and that I would not be coming back to this store. Period. My friend put back the necklace she was going to buy and as a local she will certainly NOT be sharing any good words for this place. Look at all the business they will lose! Their choice.

I always love visiting this place, well before the pandemic ever happened. They always have a wide selection of antiques, and I usually can pick up something small. They have some really nice bigger items but I live down in the city and have already furnished my apartment - but I wish I could buy some of these bigger pieces. The owners have always been helpful when I have had questions and always welcomed me into the store. In general, it's really disappointing to see people tank the reviews of this place all because they implement a policy to protect themselves and their workers. This pandemic sucks, but I don't understand why people have to be so childish as to hurt the livelihood of a company. If you don't want to wear a mask, just don't go. Find a bathroom 5 minutes down the road. Live and let live. Antique on!

I've always had a fun time looking here and found interesting stuff. All the negative reveiws are a shame. The store seems to be protecting their employees and customers during this trying time. I still wear a mask in public and am not ashamed.

A fine antiques center with a good group of dealers and large collection of Arts/Antiques. Professional staff with a great owner who is a big Antiques aficionado himself. Wonderful gallery manager Larry is always helpful and knowledgeable on all matters Antiques

Stopped by today as I do several times a year. Before both of my feet were in the door I was rudely told to wear a mask (the mask mandate is over). I supported this business through the pandemic and even purchased a few things I didn’t “have” to have to support them in tough times.Had the gentleman behind the counter been a little pleasant I wouldn’t be writing this review.I would have been back another day to spend money when they no longer required a mask. Now, I will never shop or recommend this place to anyone again. There are a lot of places to spend my dollars, and sadly, this will no longer be one of them.

They don’t allow their customers to use their restroom which is outrageous given this is a stand alone business and there are no other facilities in the area. I understand being apprehensive with COVID but they don’t require masks so clearly that is not their concern. I was 6 months pregnant (very clearly so) and the women just said “I feel for you but no”. Not allowing a pregnant woman to use the restroom is despicable.

I'm giving this store a middling review because of a problem I had. All stores are different, but the rule in the antique store where I work is that if the customer breaks something, it's usually considered the "cost of doing business" and the dealer absorbs the loss. Especially if it was an accident, and the cost of the broken item is low. While carrying an item (a tool) I wanted to buy, one part of the item fell off and broke a $10 plate. I walked over to the person in charge and told him the problem. I put the item I wanted to buy on the counter, and offered to pay for the broken item. We walked over to the area where the accident happened, and without saying a word, he removed the broken plate and went back to the register. When we checked out a little while latter (bought 3 items), the bill was tallied and the $10 broken plate was included. I paid, and now I'm writing this review. Never did the person ask if I was OK (I did shatter a piece of glass), never offered to absorb the loss -- he could have at least contacted the specific dealer and obtained the value of the item and charged me that. Note: I purchased 2 items from the same dealer I broke the plate. Other may not agree, but this annoyed me enough to write this criticism.

I am a longstanding resident of Dutchess County for over 30 years. Antiquing throughout the Hudson Valley has ALWAYS maintained a general rule of courtesy and responsibility between the shop owner's and their visiting customers: "IF YOU BREAK IT, YOU PAY FOR IT". Due to the limited space in a majority of these shops, the customer should not invite small children inside (they are almost certainly prone to break an item). Accident or not, it is NOT the shop owners fault for a customers inability to circumnavigate around breakable objects or be supervised while perusing the stores many artifacts. Happy antiquing to all who enter these eclectic gems of past and present.

Use to go antiquing in Rhinebeck about 30 years ago. Loved the charming town, Red Lion Inn, local luncheonette and ice cream parlour and the charming antique shop and consignment shop next door to the Red Lion Inn. The quality and stock of antiques in these shops of all kinds was excellent. Bought so many lovely items that I still have.Today I just looked at your wed site. Was VERY disappointed in the pics of the stock displayed in the varied rooms of theEmporium. The antiques pictured in the Emporium seemed to be of VERY mediocare quality. Nothing very fine or beautiful was pictured. Certainly nothing I would be interested in purchasing. So sorry I have to report this opinion. But even more disappointed that Rhinebeck's antique shops I use to visit no longer stock the beautiful antiques I remember. Perhaps there are new shops that I do not know of that do. But I am sure the town and homes of Rhinebeck are still beautiful.Cliff

Nice things but I refuse to spend myMoney in antique centers that do not accommodate their customers. I travel long distances for new antiques as it is my hobby. But when I get to a place after driving 1-2 hours and their is no restroom for customers it tells me they don’t care about the people who spend money in their establishment. I move on ...shame on you!

Gorgeous Antique Emporium filled to the brim with treasures! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as I was looking for a specific item for a wedding gift. What I found was even better than I could have imagined! This will indeed become a regular stop on my way to the City. Thank you again for your kindness and professionalism!

Stopped in after the Barnstar Antique Show at the Duchess County Fairgrounds this weekend and was so glad that we made the detour — super friendly staff and a great selection! Will be back to see what’s “new” on our next visit to the area!

Eye candy for the soul. Full of treasures set in a gem. Enjoy the unusual while exploring beautiful Rhinebeck, the Vanderbuilt Mansion and The Culinary Institute of America where fine food is an everyday event. We look forward to seeing you at the Emporium. We are also excited about your treasures. Contact us in Rhinebeck or our other locations in sunny Vero Beach, Fl or beautiful historic Newport, RI

If you are in the area and you do not visit this establishment; you are doing yourself a disservice. Excellent range of quality vintage merchandise and not-too-contemporary high-end merchandise.

We happened to stop here randomly, as we were visiting the area. The shop is cute and you can spend all day. However, the prices are very steep for what they are selling and the women at the front are pretty rude and snappy. My fiance was buying a bunch of things and they were pretty nasty to him. I had a question about pricing and they wouldn’t even entertain my question and when I requested for them to ask the vendor, they snapped “no”. They were very unfriendly, unwelcoming and had nasty attitudes. I wont be visiting again.
